This guy is crazy smart and should be recognized by the hiphop world. A lyrical genius and music producer extraordinare.
Erick seems like such a cool dude
EPMD. One of the best groups of all times.
Real Hip Hop heads know the importance of EPMD.
Yeah
@D Antonio yeah
Its crazy that it's been 10 years since 2009
Classic Group One For The AGES Truly Hip Hop Music
I saw these guys in DC summer 2010 and they rocked. You would never think they were still beefing. As much as we as fans hope that EPMD, Tribe and some of these other groups would stay together forever, I know from my own personal life that it's tough to maintain friendships for 20-25 years.
grish76 Cause of back then! When EPMD was blowing up fully that was when the shit happened. And the home invasion and shit, that really hurt PMD! He never thought Erick would do some shit like that cause they knew each other since kids.
BRENTWOOD!! Who remembers Marty's clothing on Brentwood road next to Bono's pizza???? Back in the days in the early 80's everyone went there to buy their Lee pants, playboy shoes and Le Tigre polos!!
I remember seeing Eric there back then lol...
That's where I copped my first Red and Black checkboard Bomber! Holla!
Ivan G hell yeah!! They had all the Boss jeans in the window lol
I like that eric and parish produced rappers just as humble as they are .even redman even from his darker earlier albums he always just seemed like a cool cat .now he just seems very humble same with keith k solo and da
u have to RESPECT this group because they were always & forever about BUSINESS
Mad, mad, respect for Erick Sermon, Redman. Peace to Keith Murray. Def Squad!!!
EPMD should reunite for one more album and call it " what's best for business "
I’m tired of waiting for the “Big Business” album like they been working on that shit since 2018. Beyond this point it’s best to let EPMD music be what it is 💯!
Awesome video girl. u rock..i'd like to say old school is what made today what it is no exceptions..
Nice interview with music rapper Erick Sermon of EPMD. Erick Sermon, Parrish Smith of EPMD, Willie D of Geto Boys, Scarface of Geto Boys, MC Ren of NWA, Ice Cube of NWA, Redman, Run DMC(RIP Jam Master Jay), 2Pac Shakur(RIP), Gang Starr(RIP Guru), Tim Dog(RIP), LL Cool J, Foxy Brown, A Tribe Called Quest(RIP Phife Dawg), Naughty By Nature are my favorite rappers.
Interesting words from E-Double. Can't wait for the book. Hail Erick Sermon.
It's been 10 years since you posted that comment, how you doing?
OTIT!
Wad up brotha! I remember the Wool plaid red and blue bombers.
I ended up getting a fake grey leather looking bomber, my dad couldn't afford a real leather one lol.
Miss you my bro!
Good ish!!
Interesting interview..
8:16 - 8:40 If you think about it..I understand Redman and Keith are Erick's solo acts, and Parrish's has K-Solo. But they signed Das Efx together, and on Das EFX's "Hold It Down" they shouted out PMD's name on about 5 songs out of 20 on that album! They didn't seem to say Erick Sermon's name after EPMD broke up after "Business Never Personal"..But at the end of the day it seems that PMD WAS that MAIN dude that helped them out most instead of Erick Sermon..
Underrated comment 🤌
@@sacco1744 thank you man, it’s very true cause Erick Sermon act like he wanna do shit with them. Skoob from Das EFX spoke on that on a recent interview like 2 or 3 years ago. Asking him why wasn’t they on “Headbanger”? According to him he told PMD to get his man’s cause probably he ain’t like him asking questions like that
The greatest Rap Duo Of All Time 🏆🏆🏆
what I want to know is. who did the KNUKLEHEDZ side with E or P? or were they like a Das EFX, both?
when was this video shot?
Had to repost this of a previous comment i made a year ago...8:16 - 8:40 If you think about it..I understand Redman and Keith are Erick's solo acts, and Parrish's has K-Solo. But they signed Das Efx together, and on Das EFX's "Hold It Down" they shouted out PMD's name on about 5 songs out of 20 on that album! Shout out to Brentwood!! Regis Park in the building
damn 2009 is when I saw rakim, epmd, and ghostface killa with obie trice at detroits state theater
I AGREE!!!!!
I use to run I to E at the Southshore Mall and on Atlantic street at my man's Elbin Diaz house behind my house. Always a cool dude.
What about the fall out that window though? Did that ever get explained?
Hey man, I deleted my old account...But yeah, Das Efx needs to come back definitely, them dudes stuck to the underground and was true. After "How We Do" they just fallen off, idk how or why. But I love they first three albums, I wish them two after the three albums didn't sound too commercial-ish. They should've made mixtapes in the meantime if they couldn't get any deal soon, or could've went independent and started off something small. But they gonna get back to where they were..I miss them:(
@MegaHastle
good idea
What I have gathered from the two sides is that Erick basically is saying that he was not getting his fair share of the money. According to him; his main focus was on the music aspect of it. He was the one that was in the studio producing the artist whereas Parrish was the one handling most of if not all of the business aspect of everything.
@rayeovlight Yeah...I am a little confused by is statement, wtf?
me i like Spanish girls 💯
I never knew Hurricane G was his baby mom. First I heard her on Redman Tonight's The Night. Erick Sermon! I heard P had beef I read a article saying Billy from MOP was going to mash out P! EPMD classic though
Lmao at eric never smooed.hes a legend and i grew up on him,but i think he is saying that for his kids sake these days .but its nice to see legendings sounding more mature as they age instead of still trying to live out a 90s vibe of acting hood.
What public enemy song was hurricane g on ?
None but she did vocals on P. Diddys P.E. 2000 which was a Public Enemy remake
THEY JUST RELEASED AN ALBUM
EPMD by far the best rap group ever.
Noooooo. Wu Tang by MILES.
Now, rap duo? Maybe, but I'd still pick Run DMC over them just for all the ground Run DMC broke.
HIEROGLYPHICS IMPERIUM
EPMD
I agree
They was favorite before Wu Tang came in
K solo was dating my cousin Michelle back in the 80s he use to come to my house this was before the rap when he was boxing
E Double lookin like a heavy Marlo in the thumbnail

OMINOUS RED I think he knows he guilty

EPMD= top 10 groups ever

this is old....they've already been honored. VH1 came to their senses
Hurricane G bad as shit! I'm surprised her and Erick Sermon ain't get married and made that shit official smh..
LL cool j girl first
@@kingsports1113 He said LL wanted her but somehow G rejected
0:05 Her man taught her how to use the camera and everything go on girl. Erick sermon is funny
Brentwood is whats up
Spanish is a language folks and people from Spain are Spanish, he's attracted to Latinas, Hispanic women. EPMD one of the greatest!!!
Throwback classics needmore cause that shit today dudes pushin women out the video shots n start twerkin themselves
Brentwood Indian Tribe!!!
DON'T GET TO CLOSE CAUSE YOU MIGHT GET SHOT!!!! WHO REMEBER THAT JOINT??
Erick Sermon reminds me of Notorious B.I.G.
I can see that in a way lol
I hate it when latinos/latinas (not from Spain) play into that “spanish people” cliche. There is a difference. Only people from Spain are Spanish. We just share a language.
@RedBullDudes hahahahahahaha...
him and russell simmon sound alike
Jeez get off the bozack lady! So you like Spanish women? Wtf kinda question is that? This man is a legend for chrissakes.
They know each other other calm down, it's not that serious lol
what happens out thereis not his concern your wanna quit it's not his turn
my thing is really strictly buisness dang their songs really true
EPMD
@DCBOOBAS you went to far when you said lyrical genuis everything else was cool...hahha
Erick was obviously the heart of EPMD. I like P but his shit didn't come close to the joints E made

Fall of EPMD? Are you fucking kidding me? EPMD is forever.
this interviewer is an around the way girl. She probably know TOM J. aswell....
Well Dont really know when he had time to be "gay" with him makin kids n all
Epmd were huge just like today’s so called rap artist. But the culture of rap hip hop has been high jacked by fake ass people black and white alike. Faker then fuck. .. listen to epmd s ...your a customer. Over 5 mins of golden era rap with one of the dopest beats of all time. No one could wrap for five minutes without cursing or talking about money or some other bullshit that they repeat over and over again
No homo, but I always though Erick had the sexiest eyes in the game
Not Cool!!
Haaaa gayyyyyy
*Stares off in the other direction* Lmatfo!
smh
Lasheem Richardson Why not?
I thought epmd was the real millie vanilli
Is Eric sermon the " gay rapper" ?
boooringggg
