I'm going to be dead honest I played Dead Cells on controller only once and I could not bring myself to finish a run with it The default controls for keyboard and mouse take a while to get used to but I honestly find it better than controller personally ALSO BASED BATTLE CATS PROFILE
Yeah except for the part where it stun locks the enemy if you swing the broken version of it. Edit: Just tested the legendary and non legendary versions and there really isn't much of a difference except that the legendary broken version stuns all the time and the non legendary broken version stuns only when it interrupts attacks.
The mutation that you get for the quest is not great. It reduce the amount of curse by 50% and taking food give you curse. This mutation good for newbie, but for higher Boss Cell they become useless because it's not hard to kill 10 enemies without getting hit.
Did they change it to where the pistol shot counts as a ranged attack now? Last I played it counted as a melee attacks and no ranged mutations affected it
The Legendary Machete And Pistol is Amazing! I Aired Out Biome After Biome with that Thing Not Even The Bank or Mimics Could Stand a Chance against it So anyways that's How I Got my 1st Boss Cell
When you open the biome map you can switch to the global map by pressing the button next to 'switch map display' on the bottom middle. As you can see mine is set to 'Q'.

The mouse is unecessary, just bind the attack and roll to QWE and movement and jump to the arrow keys and it becomes much easier.

Funny thing: the forced affix of the toothpick is pretty much useless because toothpick stuns on it's own.
