Nice one andrew. If you have changed your subject from trees to castles you should have plenty to choose from in the Borders. By their very nature castles ruins are dark, gloomy and mysterious places so getting the illumination and surroundings to come alive can't be easy! How about a few old churches The one at Kirkcambeck always looked a bit eerie to me. You can also see whats left of the original church once the Border Reivers had finished with it. Thanks
Some great shots Andrew , I’m surprised you never got some shots of the historic Bewcastle Cross (minus its head) in the churchyard . Another trip another day. Atb Dave
Loved this video Andrew! Some really idyllic images in this one. Very quintessential England i My favorite image was the very first one...the tree on the right and the road in the foreground did it for me! Also the sheep in the castle images was just perfect! Where is the snow though? We are getting our fair share here, would be happy to share some of it with you! Great video Andrew. I'm off to shovel the driveway...again. Hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks Paul. Much appreciated. We had snow 3 days ago but it quickly turns to ice. Even if they plough the road their is no place to turn off and park blocking the road with cars skidding into you. Risking getting trapped, so I stayed home ☹️🥶 The paradox of winter landscape photography in the UK. The tree photo didn't get the light I wanted. Next time, maybe.
Love this location, too bad the white cottage is so close to the castle, a standalone image of that castle would be better. Liked the first image mate with those sheep in the foreground. Looks bloody cold lol.
Great video. Interesting to see the castle. Would be great to know the history of it.
Nice spot. Definitely worth a re-visit in better light and with less of the squidgy stuff!

For me I like the photo which included the road. The walk up was worth it.
Thanks 😁
