Now in your 40s I hope your still rocking these out, I’m 41 and man this band rocks... sadly underrated, wish they had more airtime and more people get to experience them... music isn’t like it was back then, music had meaning and these are some of the last real music bands... kids today will never know.

My favorite Silversun Pickups video because their music takes me to this other world, an alternative reality. And the action, the mood, the ambience, the look, the feel with the movement and all the cityscape and the odd neighborhoods and places are making up that imaginary world I travel to in my mind and heart that I shall manifest with my magical quantum powers.
Why does this make me imagine myself driving around Los Angeles at night?? I miss back home. I live in Houston now. This songs makes me reminisce moments i haven't experienced?? This song makes me feel something i cant explain.

comparing SSPU to SP is a compliment in my book. The best music of my life came out in the 90s so when I say that I see influences from some of those bands it means that i think the SSPUs kick ass!

Just saw this song tonight in St. Louis. These guys sound quite different live. It just adds to their music. This is a band that seeing them live is truly a unique experience and well worth going to a concert.

Have played this song an indecent amount of times now, this song just does not seem to get old. The fuzzy guitar is just so bad ass. Excellent video direction with the kids, it could not tell the story better. Shooting off the back of that truck or shotmaker was sweet, great shots of LA.

indie music DID start as an identifier for music that is owned primarily by the creative entity that produces it, as apposed to a large scale label- however, the californian and portlandian music scenes that popularized the practice all had a sort of post-grunge pop sound that became a characteristic of the practice, resulting in indie music as a scene instead of simply a business practice.
