Insanely underrated guitarist...In the same leauge as lynch, martini, beach, aldrich if you ask me...a shame he didnt get the international recognition those guys did...would have totally deserved it! RIP from a devoted shy/harris fan from germany...cheers.
Steve was and always will be the reason i started to play guitar. A brilliant talented melodic player. I saw SHY in the 80's in Salisbury Arts Center and he blowed me away. R.I.P.Steve you will never be forgotten, and thank you for your inspiration.
Watching this video and reading the word's from Al put tears in my eye'. Birmingham Edwards, JB's, Odeon, NEC and Brave the storm, Access all areas was the sound track mid - late 80's. Thanks Steve for the best ballad & solo ever in Reflections
What a lovely down to earth guy you were Steve. miss our friday chats at work, you always had time for a chat even when you were late getting home. brilliant music and a real gent. I wish you was still ere and still making everyone who knew you smile. Show the angels how to rock my friend. Miss you mate.
I am so sad to see Steve Harris go, and so sad to see Shy not be as big as they should have been. There is so much mediocrity in the music industry. I was at the Shy Concert in 89 in LA, went with my friend Aaron, I was somewhat surprised by the small turnout, but it really wasn't advertised. I would think I would remember if Enuff Enuff was there, I am certainly bigger fans of theirs now then I was then. My love passed July 4th 2011 as well. I hope they will meet in heaven
It is funny, I was introduced to them with excess, then got Misspent, but I really love Brave the Storm, it is an amazing album. When I first heard it, I wasn't as taken with it, but not it might have been the best of the Tony Mills Era. Damm, some of the songs on Brave the storm, remind me of the lost love that I have, it is like they were there. I wish Steve was around to ask a question of.
