I got into a argument about this the other day. It ended when I pointed out that there are people in countries all over the world making content about America from food,geography, military and cultural but you don't see many Americans doing that for other countries. The people of the world want and deserve to have a voice and some control over the people that govern them and it's showing more and more everyday across Europe and other places

I made a conscious decision 10+ years ago to smile at and acknowledge everyone i encounter, because you never know whata nother person is going through, and a warm smile might be just enough to make a difference in that person's day. Everybody is profiled to certain extent. As an older woman, when I go shopping or whatever alone I watch and try to be aware of what and who's around me. It's just common sense. Do I notice gender, color or age of those around me? Damn straight I do. Just being honest. In todays world, threats can come in all sizes and colors and it's just practical to keep your head on a swivel. I do my best to make eye contact and smile at those around me. I, personally, don't like the idea of 'Politician' being a career choice. I feel like it should be nothing but a civil service. I've tried to watch and research candidates for the past couple decades, and, unfortunately, the only difference I see in any two candidates is what they SAY they'll do once in office... Once elected, nothing seems to change. If you haven't, you should check out Brainwashed by Tom McDonald. I think it sums up his views about the government pretty succinctly.
People are not divided as they would like us to think. I think people are miserable and want to stir up division in the comments if it’s not all bots just trying to divide us on purpose.
