Beautiful, well-spoken, articulate. She deserves her crown. Miss Universe choose a powerful lady👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. She’s an inspiration to all African girls and girls yet to be born. Well done Chichi
Why are people dragging this incredible woman for her parents’ crimes? Not the same person. Reminds me how people also dragged Moraya Wilson (Miss Universe Australia 2023) for her parents’ crimes and guess what…. she was 2RU in 2023✨ They might try to smear your name but nobody can smear your character and heart Chidimma. Shine bright, you will make Nigeria 🇳🇬 proud!
She is paying for the sins of her parents. She is benefitting from the proceeds of the alleged crime, ie identity theft, and being illegal in South Africa.
Chidimma is a brave girl, Nigeria is her home, congtas to all involved. If her parents actually stood up for her and defended her the heat would be off this lady.
@@kapihannibeshie9634 there is an allegation here in South Africa that her Mozambiquean mother and Nigerian father have stolen the identity document of a girl her age 23 years ago, and thus they are now in South Africa.
No one deserves the hatred and discrimination that she has experienced. She is a phoenix for sure. Most South Africans are clouded with unfair judgements and fail to see the authenticity, charm and eloquence that she possesses. despite everything she went through, she still stood up on her beliefs and chased her goals. @@eilleebee9407 Thank you my brother. I have to say that unfortunately, apartheid has damaged their humanity. Some black South Africans are an embarrassment to Africa....Because they want to infect the continent with inferiority complex which Nigerians naturally are immuned from. Chidinma is a typical Nigerian girl. She can find her way anywhere. She has the whole world ahead of her at 23.
I've never been a fan of beauty pageants but I've followed this story ever since it broke because it is such a touching story of this one girl overcoming adversity to shine like a million stars. I do have questions of mine about her identity but what is certain is that she's Nigerian and African, and was too young to have been involved in any identity theft. And that's good enough! Chidimma, you represent us and we are proud of you.
I can imagine going through what this girl went through in this whole journey yet she gave it another shot in such a short space of time. Her strength, her resilience and her tenacity is incredible. I respect her a lot and I just hope she wins miss Universe. ❤❤
The xenophobic South Africans give us such shame! 😢 They really stood tall, ready to fall on the hill or stupidity for the world to see. Small and uneducated mindset 😔
And she just placed 1st Runner Up at Miss Universe 2024, representing NIGERIA. A BIG SLAP TO SOME XENOPHOBIC SOUTH AFRICANS. I like stories similar to this, stories of a person being rejected/cancelled for something she didn’t commit, then the only revenge she can do is to uplift herself and show them what she’s capable of. 1st RU placement is not bad at all. I burst out into tears when she reached Top 5 due to excitement and happiness. Thank you ChiChi! You inspired a lot of people in the Universe! I’m just so happy and can relate with your story, that even in the face of adversity, rejection, and trauma you’ve experienced, you REMAINED POSITIVE, RESILIENT, and FOCUSED to your goals! I’m proud of you Chichi, it’s crazy this whole drama has really kept us from really getting to know chichi closer, like I really never hear her talk about being a mother, her advocacies and what she’s interested in, I hope we can move on and focus on the wonderful contestant we have before us. Good luck in Mexico!
Poor thing! To have been rejected by people you spent your entire life thinking were your people! I feel this so deeply for you Chichi. Keep your chin up, we love you!
She's just fraud, since from her birth, her mother now is a fugitive, if she is indeed a real parent, she should be standing her ground to protect her child.
BBC please also interview the South African mother and daughter whose identification was stolen by Chidimma's parents. Find out how their life has been like for them with no identification for all these years.
Lol some nigerians were arrested in UK for selling 2000 fake marriage certificates, identity theft means nothing to these people, they thrive in that ish, she is a true nigerian hence they are celebrating her, fraud is in the DNA😂
So home affairs waited until the uproar to make a statement that hasn’t been proven yet? South Africans are happy to accept lighter skinned people than their own African people. Yet when treated of a K word or N word yall you want the world to know how offensive it is. You will remain slaves you were created to be. Carry on making your masters happy.

Her mother stole a South African woman's identity and she took the opportunity from a deserving Nigerian woman who was there from the beginning of the competition.
Then let ur own mother that did not know the man that gave birth to also go to another country and stolen someone else identity if u think it is easy fool.

There is a Lady out there who lost her name, her identity, she become unknown and alien in her own country. Who cannot further studied, who cannot find employment, who later cannot registered her own child. All that is because a selfish illegal immigrant from Mozambique stole all of that from her. NO ONE MUST FORGET ABOUT THAT!!!!!! This lady knew very well growing up in South Africa that her parents are not South Africans. She knew her mother's accent is foreign. She probably met her mothers relatives in Mozambique, she probably knew that not one of her mother's family member has her mother's surname, I'm pretty sure she questioned it, maybe her mother even told her the truth, and as a law student she must have learned that corruption and identity theft is a punishable crime. As a law student she must have known that if none of your parents are SA citizen, than a child cannot be SA citizens either. But now she is acting all innocent, crying crocodile tears, trying to get sympathy from the world, playing the victim, using her mess to benefit her in the upcoming Miss Universe. SHAME. What a looser.
Well coached this one..remember she said after she was crowned that 'it's now time for action'..hoping to gain sympathy with all this acting, we will see. Truth has a way of coming out.!
Can we have this imaginary “child” appear on TV to tell us about her suffering? You, the original owners of the land, SAns, complain too much about suffering. Learn from the Igbos of Nigeria who lost over 2 million people (more than you did) to overcome adversity and prosper. Go to them and learn how to do legitimate businesses they engage in and stop crying like babies about taking stipends from you.
My question is WHERE was her mother when this controversy rose up. Any mother would rise up and fight if she feels her daughter was being discriminated BUT she chose not to and WENT TO hiding because she knows she did something wrong at Home Affairs
Even chidimma knew she didn't belong to the community of blackness in South Africa she was not part of any black culture not Pedi, Sotho, Zulu, Xhosa and so forth. It a lie for them always
She lied and said her mother is South African from soweto. Why can't she talk about the pain that her family caused to S.A family. Stealing from South Africans. Now she got what belong to her
She is just crying crocodile tears for sympathy... Nigerians don't even want to acknowledge the fact that a crime was committed, they never talk about the victim of the identity theft, and if they do they say it's lies, as if they were here or they are the ones conducting the investigations. They are biased, just portraying this girl as the victim. Her documents are also void because they were obtained through a fake ID that the mother stole
I think Apartheid has forced the average South African to think too low of themselves. Now they think what they can't achieve, others should never be able to. But Chidinma has a Nigerian blood in her. She'll rise above all the hate.
I refuse to believe that South Africans or the feud that took place is what’s sending her to therapy. The bigger elephant that might have shocked her is her knowing that her mother is a villain.
Nah south Africans were sending her real unaliving threats by the 1000s the constant paranoia and fear for her life and safety will effect your mental health more than anything.
Her stepmother is South African, her stepmother is so that’s why she was having a South African passport. they said that shes not allowed because her biological mother is from another country they refuse to accept her.
Yep. No one is talking about this. Imagine finding out about such a betrayal, on the world the stage. That alone is enough to have one in therapy for a long time. She’s gonna be dealing with this for a good while.
Her Nigerian heritage makes her an easier target for bullying but you black south africa are all scared to defend your country against c*r*i*m*e*s, orania and other horrible crimes in south africa because you all are proud s*l*a*v*e*s* and second citizens of your own country..
Dear hater this is Chi and not her parents, i pray you have daughters who go through same pain then we will say you made a mistake for struggling for a better life in another african country with the highest hate crime.
As a Namibian i was following this story, everything is unfair the girls identity who was stolen needs to heel she is actually the real victim here.... Now the other contestants got rip of their crown after they worked so hart to part take in miss universe Nigeria its like she was placed there just to win to make a statement as she was growing media attention, its not fair again for the other Nigerian girls who went through all trials. its a kak situation!
Worry about your life, and leave the Nigerians girls alone. Did they complain to you. And you said the girl identity who was stolen is the real victim. Where is she now, until now? That cabbage story you're buying into.
Better focus on your country. Germans are living in the best places while you are still treated like slaves. Here in Nigeria, we are very happy she won
Has BBC seen the video of the young lady whose ID was stolen crying her eyes out that she couldn't register for anything, she couldn't register for school, doesn't have bank account, couldn't benefit from social welfare grants, cannot register her child, cannot get a formal job because her Identity number is used by someone else? Chichi should cry to her parents because her existence was fraudulent. We cannot sympathize with her over our own whose life has been stuck. Chichi parents must be jailed together with the officials involved in this. Chichi knew that her parents were not SAn she had Nigerian Mozambiquen flags on her social media accounts. We don't sympathize with her we are happy for her that she won Miss Universe Nigeria where she belongs.
@@OGNay The truth is that your pathological self-hate through hatred against other black people hase been transmitted to you like an infectious disease by 300 years of cohabitation with the most racist Whites in human history. This accusation of identity theft proves that those who do it have a prelogical mindset. Because identity includes the name, first name, date of birth, place of birth, parents' names...etc. How a name that South-Africans themselves recognize as of nigerian origin have been stolen from a south-african person. This accusation is ridiculous and simply proves your extreme mental debility. Moreover, the new Miss South Africa Mia Le Roux, who is much more intelligent than those who make this ridiculous accusation, defends Chidimma Adetshina.
The crown wont help her heal she needs to heal and see a therapist! She is still processing this … I wish her the best as she goes and represents Miss Nigeria at miss universe
A therapist isn't full proof cure either. She now gets to explore Nigeria & hopefully Mozambique. Those are essential to her understanding of her identity.
@linthexplorer814 There are many ways to heal. Her mum is in trouble in S.Africa - that's additional trauma for the young lady who happened to have the wrong surname. My suspicion is that the family will move out of S.Africa & opt to live elsewhere.
The stolen identity story was a lie. The girl in question has her papers from birth . Your government used that stolen identity stuff to stoke the fire of hatred but records showed the other girl actually has her own documents.
I will only feel sympathy on a mother and child that lost their identity. At this point I don't care what people say, call us Xenophobic or whatever. Someone needs to answer in court on this matter.
What's the name of the woman who lost her identity? How did she lose her identity and what identity has she been using since her original identity was stolen from her? How has she been living her life without an identity? #curious
What's happening in South Africa today makes me wish apartheid had continued to this day. During that period, Black people who fled that country were accepted and treated with dignity throughout Africa. Modern-day South Africans are deeply shameful people. They do not the history of their country. The people they are vomiting at today were the ones who took in their parents and grandparents in many African countries in the 70s and 80s. South Africans are xenophobic not because someone else calls them by that word. They are xenophobic because their behavior fits the definition of the word.
There are many of them in south africa This one's story is she lost her id, webt to reapply, went on given date to fetch her new ud in pretoria, was told she received it for she fetched it at johannesburg on a date given Denied having fetchrd it Went to Johannesburg home affairs, as was told, getting there they confirmed she it was given out to her, she said i fid not, yhey said as they usually do, come after a month we will investigate Going there no id, then after 3 months they issued her a new identity, same id number, which is normal. Then problem came when she wanted to register a birth certificate for her child the same year that chidima was registered in may and chidima was earlier@@ebelemoneke3579 she could not for now a vaby has been registered with that identity, thats when her dilemma started and continued Otherwise she us not the only one, thats, just look for videos of parents who cant register children, some have grown cant write matric for they dont have id's, similar stories. We have watched them on RUclips. So start looking for those stories you will understand and your curiosity will be satisfied
BBC Africa you won't guilt trip us into accepting bullshit, a crime of identity theft was committed and you want us to clap hands because you will call us names? To hell with anyone who thinks we must quite about that, and its good to see that Nigeria rewards such instead of distancing themselves from a crime....No morals whatsoever , and we must unite with that nonsense?
Dear beautiful lovely South Africans, we're are not going to allow ourselves to be gaslighted by these people, we know our our stories and experiences with Nigerians and we don't need to explain ourselves to anyone. ❤🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Omg. I love you Chidi. I’m a Nigerian American and I love you so much. I CRY WHEN SHE CRY. We love you darling…we Nigerians love our own TOO much. You’re my sister❤️❤️😍😍😍😍
Chidinma's mom committed a crime that destroyed another woman and her child. Identity theft is not a victimless crime. While Chidinma did not commit the offense, her mom ran away from South Africa instead of clarifying the issue.
Okay now wait a minute....I am a huge advocate for success. HOWEVER Chichi now knows what he mother did. Why is she not taking the time to get to the bottom of what her mother did? Why is she not getting involved in finding and engaging with the person whose identity was stolen? She should be using this time to build a strong base to enter Miss Universe 2025 with a strong story to tell about identity theft and how she can be an Advocate for those issues, to ensure that strict measures are placed? Instead she is running around crying here and literally saying "I don't care what my Mama did, I don't give a damn about whoever's identity was stolen, I have a crown to chase" Is she that selfish? She knows some Nigerians are not happy either and she is not bothered. I don't hate Chichi at all, I love her as a person but she has no morals, no heart.
The world seems to be ignoring all this saying it's mere allegations even though the department of home affairs have provided evidence and her parents seem to have fleed the country avoiding persecution Her winning the crown is actually a beautiful thing but ignoring the effects of the crime her parents committed says quite a lot about her and the world is happy to overlook these things and even the way she says it started is all a lie because people took offense that she only acknowledged Nigeria and Mozambique and overlooked the country she was contesting in Ai
It's so sad that Nigeria media and many Nigerians keeps on glorifying all this Fraudulent ways as the way to go and not even taking a moment thinking about the Women defrauded off her identity. Chichi knows that by now and the matter has got nothing to do with SA hating on Nigerians it's the principles off the immigration laws off another soverinity state that needs to be respected. Otherwise SA will be a lawless country. SA has the right to deny these three because off the mother citizenship fraud she committed 23yrs ago and today those consequences are falling on an innocent child. Chichis mom knew what she was doing when commiting this citizenship fraud and today that error is corrected under SA immigration laws. Wanting to be felt sorry can't not work in the courts especially when the mother knew the consequences off the crime she committed. what will happen to her daughter and herself with the husband off which today their ID's are terminated in SA as speak all three off them and soon both parents will be requested to come to SA courts to answer a few questions on the immigration fraud drama. seems like Nigeria is taking this lightly but SA don't and Nigeria will have to comply to repatriate the parents back to SA courts once it's taken that far or else Nigeria faces diplomatic setbacks. This will then make it difficult for Nigerians wanting to come to SA without watched closely when they are in SA because it seems like each time many gets here and never go back home over staying then hide in SA illigally.
@@brianmthombothi4807 I mean If I found out that one of my parents did such a thing I would be so embarrassed, I wouldn't even want to show my face. I mean after that, how powerful would I be at the next Miss Universe? I would be a Powerhouse. The Crown is for a Woman-With-Purpose. What is her purpose when she gets to Mexico? In this interview she even mentions that the matter is with legal, so what is she still doing in the streets? she is still young. She does not have an advisor, it is evident. I knew she'd cry. Full of blackmail this one. The person who should be crying is a south african whose identity was stolen by her mozambican mom and Nigerian father.
It's CNN. What did you expect?. And Chidima doing all these interviews bashing South Africa and then crying shows how she's so determined to gaslight people outside South Africa. And Nigeria is so determined to look like a hero in this situation which is not working
CNN on a BBC post and still trying to tie it to Nigeria just sums you up. So it is true that it's the highly unintelligent south Africans behind xenophobia. I apologize on behalf of the intelligent unhatefilled SAns that I know.

@@ShalomRumbidzaiMugodhi she shouldn't be talking about her emotions that's how selfish she is! She should be worried & addressing about the feelings of the victim (that would indicate selfless & unjust act) since she's the benefit of fraud

BBC Africa as much as you presented the story of a traumatized Chdima who needs therapy because of xenophobic South Africans, for the sake of fair journalism please do present the story of an innocent mother in South Africa whose ID was stolen and her future and that of her child ruined in the process. We need to hear her story and we want to see her cry and weep like Chidima. Thank you
They will never. It doesn’t suit the agenda whoever is behind this smear campaign is trying to push. They’ve shown repeatedly that they don’t stand for truth
Is it a deliberate move not mention Mozambique in any of the interviews? Whilst we know her to be Nigerian and Mozambican as per the flags in her Bio. (Which conveniently she has now removed after the ID saga). 🤔Or is to claim that she knew nothing about Mozambique all along she knew her mom to be South African. Why is she not saying I’m Proudly Nigeria, proudly South African and proudly Mozambican. Why now abandon Mozambique 🇲🇿. We all know this flag from her, why did she remove it now. These poor journalist should be asking relevant questions. Why they don’t even ask from where is her mom no one is asking. She only say “I’m proud of myself” “ I am a South African” what about your mom? She doesn’t even say My mom is South African
The antipathy she faced was primarily directed at her Nigerian-ness. From the beginning, South Africans themselves, especially in their insults and suspicion toward her, identified her as Nigerian above anything else, even though she has always said her background is Nigerian and Mozambican. And, as you say, she initially put a Mozambican flag alongside the Nigerian flag on her social media pages. But, South Africans were the ones to state emphatically that, “She is Nigerian!” To be fair, her name is more or less transparently Nigerian anyway. But, ultimately, her Mozambican heritage was even an afterthought to South Africans outside of the allegations made against her mother, and how that connects to Chidimma. It only remains relevant to them in trying to justify that dislike of other Africans. The fact that she omits Mozambique in this interview is likely because she is officially representing Nigeria now. Let the woman be. It would serve you and your countrymen well.
@@wachuku1 u say the reason she omits Mozambique in this interview is because she is now representing Nigeria, what about the other interviews before this one. And so why was Mozambican flag removed from her bio immediately after the ID allegations was that also part of representing Nigeria?😂 Ohhk I get what u saying she was just being a Nigerian trying to cover up the identity issue and decided to remove Mozambique flag. She really really I mean really knows how to represent Nigeria well well. “Be part of crime and once you get caught try by all means necessary to cover up and remove all evidence” that’s Nigeria being represented abroad and represented well well, She is an ambassador
Exactly. What about the woman who cried for years and others who are still crying from ID theft? Are their tears and depression less important? I feel for Chichi and it's sad that her mom did her dirty like this. If anyone is to blame is her mom. I hope therapy can help her see how her response spat in the face of the Pretoria-based woman who lost her identity to her (Chichi's) mom her (Chichi's) birth registration. If her therapist doesn't explore that avenue, then it is a useless therapy.
SOUTH Africa that looks GOOD from media and images is actually a very VINDICTIVE country. How can the govenment of a WHOLE NATION blame one woman and child for their systematic failures even when the lady has left the country?? How did she commit "fraud"? Where are the SOUTH AFRICANS that allegedly connived with her mother to commit fraud? Why are South African blaming a "kettle" for been hot, instead of getting to the source of the fire and putting out the fire? She did not commit fraud on her own?? Some South Africans must have collected money to collect the fraud. Have they been brought to book?? This is obvious a DEEP ploy to distract her from her goal of winning Miss Universe by a WHOLE NATION!! A well orchestrated and long term PLOT against the West African nation of NIGERIA who have accepted her..
No remorse for the South African girl whose identity was stolen by her mother. The hardship she suffered as a result of her mother's fraudulent activities. Criminals are celebrated and idolized here.
She mentioned very clearly that the matter is "sub judicae"...meaning that it is under consideration by the Justice Department. Do you expect her to have facts about something that the Home Affairs should be responsible for? Let the law take its course. Even the Minister of Home Affairs stated very clearly that she cannot be held accountable for a mistake that was done without her knowledge. Leave her alone.
Why hasn't the person whose identity was stolen, come out to say my Identity was stolen by her. She'll sue and win your slavish Corrupt dirty Irrelevant asses in court. Chi will meet Mia in Mexico. Trust me, SA peeps would have no say in the Mexico competition😂

Oga it was an alleged crime committed from her mother you not sure that's why they said alleged.... Go learn or school yourself..she even got hated before the so called identity theft... Just stop hating bro.. The world knows the truth
The whole issue started because she had a Nigerian name and they felt she coukd not represent their cultures then everyone assumed she was a criminal, it was xenophobic!!! So proud of her ❤
I am actually stunned tht a law student sees an opportunity to become a victim whn the SA law investigates her nationality paperwork. I hope Miss Universe will not fall for ths drama!
Miss universe will not rely on the accusations of a country that is uncivilized enough to criminalize and punish a girl for their parents crime. Besides SA, the rest of the world is civilized,
The rest of the world is civilized enough not to put the consequences of someone's crime on their children. The rest of the world is actually in disbelief over what SA is doing.
I'm no longer surprised at their tricks. It's in their nature to play victim card when they are caught in their crimes. Criminality is not only accepted and normalized, it's fiercely defended! Look at how they are exposed daily, but turn around to attack those point out their ill behaviour. 😮😮😮
This is still mere allegations with ongoing investigation, yet SAns have been accusing her and calling her names over mere allegations against her mom, and they want the rest of the world to do the same. Is this not jungle justice, for a people that called themselves civilized?
I have never seen a beauty contestant go over the hurdles Chidinma has had to jump over. Yet, She pulled through! She is still standing. Hope she gets a GOOD MENTOR, who will move her forward constructively. Miss Chidinma, avoid any form of scandal, especially... STAY FOCUSED!
It's funny because her supporters don't cover the unfortunate circumstances the victim of the identity theft. Even an apology. Use this as an opportunity to discuss such things as well, no, they focus on the fact that Some South Africans did not want her to be a beauty queen. Even if South Africans did bully her, it still doesn't erase the holistic story that happened. So to me she comes off as very pridefull and doesn't care about other people in achieving that, which her mother displayed when she bore her.

It is so weird to me that people who black people around the world stood for during apartheid turned out to be just like their colonizers. To hate other blacks is to hate yourself. Their weakness is so obvious because these people never attack Indian, Dutch, and other European contestants. They are only nationalists against other black people. I'm so proud of Nigeria.
Criminality can not be "litter barriers" she always misses the opportunity to show light to a real issue of illegal immigrants and identity theft that is rampant in South Africa by choosing to paint herself as the ultimate victim... the only ultimate victim in this entire situation is the person who's identity was stolen!
It just shows..she knew what her parents did and was complacent in it..She's milking this story as much as she can for her personal financial gain like the stolen I.d her mom had.. But every dog will get its day.. She was a blessing in disguise because she was the catalyst for our government to start cleaning up people like her and family , occupying spaces illegally..She's the poster child for it..Its going to bite her in the foot thoroughly now that she's painting a total different narrative.. its not going to end well
This win was rigged from the moment they gave her a privilege invitation over the other girls who had worked so hard to be in that spot. This win was for Nigeria to get back at South Africa-not because she worked hard for it in any way
She is a citizen of South Africa, black South Africa you should embress one another we are one as Africans . Now you have a white South African as miss South Africa! For real?????
what amazes me, is for her not touching the fact that her mother is Mozambican and father Nigerian and an identity of a woman and child were stolen, for me those tears are crocodile tears, take responsibilty, acknowledge, something is offish about you...
And she should have all the proof to appease you? Isn't it under investigation? Wait for the findings rather than look for excuses to tarnish her image,
She is beautiful and strong for what the demons in South Africa 🇿🇦 put her through. Thank God for using Nigeria 🇳🇬 to wipe her tears. All the best Chichi ♥️🇿🇦
Her journey is *a tale of two Africas.* _A tale of shame and pride._ One of her countries made me so ashamed of being an African. But thankfully her other country quickly restored my overwhelming pride in being African 🌍
Tale of three Africa's actually. A third one xenophobic, too much of a coward to stand up for ownership of its own land against non blacks and okay with a non black represent them all in the name of being a rainbow nation (not that we see any black in a rainbow tho). That one makes all of us Africans sick to our stomach too 😂
Oh my God. Mark my word, she will be the next Miss Universe. She has that Miss U vibes. She can definitely represent the entire universe. Good luck with your journey. Bring home the crown ❤❤❤.
Oh, no. She needs to work out on her Q&A. Her final answer wasn't that good. 130 countries will be competing for 1 crown, and she will definitely not win the crown she was just a controversial girl because of being kicked out for being not SA enough. That could help her for publicity exposure
Well done Nigeria for being able to welcome her home . She is safe there , sometimes in life allow challenges to change you for good. Gooo chichi have my support from Tanzania 🇹🇿
@iambloopy 😥 especially pretending to be speaking on behalf of BBC Africa when the host is Nigerian. This is a biased interview. Nothing objective here.
I love this girl! She is so sweet and so down to earth! just went through a lot! Season for her! But I love how Nigeria 🇳🇬 picked her up and made it so clear that she special and one of them! I love how it turned out. Chichi is so special and will rise even higher! May the sky be the limit her. As another fellow African woman, am so proud of her and thank you Nigeria for what you did! The Act of kindness and unconditional love ❤️ ❤

So proud of Miss Chichi, such a beautiful and resilient being! There is no way on God's beautiful earth, that you can put a blessed person down. Africa loves you❤
Destiny delayed is not Destiny Denied. I'm a South African and I support chichi I'm against all the horrible things toxic south Africans put her through she's south African with a multi-ethnic ancestry. The same way black Americans are Americans them having an African lineage does not make them less American
She's not a South African period. Pls she is not a world star. The organisers of the Nigerian pageant used the controversy surrounding her to raise the profile of their own pageant. She was always gonna win the Nigerian pageant because of this. The most unjust part is she won that pageant ahead of Nigerian girls who prepared and practiced for that pageant for months. Chidima was there for about a week with no preparation. Was this pageant fixed? Remember Chidima, had she been allowed to continue in the Miss SA pageant, she was not guaranteed to win . Infact she probably wouldn't have because the other Miss SA contestants were more complete than her , had more substance to them, had more to offer to South Africans and our national pride. And they were a he'll of a lot better looking than her. We are not xenophobic. We love OUR country and OUR own people (SOUTH AFRICANS).
I am not going to react to your entire comment but nonetheless let me say this. A student can study/prepare to take exams in Canada and if by any reason they couldn't take the exams in Canada and leave to USA and take their own version of exams, it is very possible for them to graduate ahead of those who did all their studying in the US, it's very possible and very allowed. It is not in your place to determine the rules of the Nigerian pageant. According to Chidinma, all the other contestants supported her and carried her all the way to victory. So quite crying and trying to use a lame logic to justify why you continue to hate on this innocent girl. Your hate has no meaningful base. What a shame.
@@DeniszeyAll of you scream hate but you never address the crux of the entire controversy, which is identity theft, Nigerians are clearly comfortable with criminals that's all that needs to be said. This is the person Nigeria choses as an example for all Nigerian girls a women who chose to run away with her criminal parents.
Controversy and not being a world star you say? Your world class hate got her noticed globally so clap for yourselves. So there were better candidates but the white immigrant won. You people would say just anything to justify your deep rooted hatred for your fellow Africans 😂
At this point I don't think she cares about being South African. She is a star, she is the moment. She has proven to be more popular than Miss SA herself. She is on BBC, not SABC. She made CNN headlines, not Times Live. Hence, the difference.
@@KhayaMkhize-p5l Her mother... not her. she is born in sA and by virtue of birth, she is South african. However she cannot represent the country as she has nigerian roots and identifies as a nigerian woman. The Politics is in the immigration and home affaors stance. Thats the Politcs im talking bout.
Why has this been spun into a xenophobia abuse/attack, no one attacked her, no one hated. Questions came up about Chidimma's heritage, story didn't match somehow, and investigations revealed that possible criminal activity took place. she was not even allowed to leave South Africa until the investigation is completed and things can be cleared and dealt with. Instead, she defied everything. At some point she denied her Nigerian heritage and then as soon as she is invited to Miss Universe Nigeria she is suddenly Nigerian. What are the actual criteria for participating in these pageants? I am happy for her win, but at the same time I am sad for the Nigerian contestants who had gone through the 2024 stages and suddenly had a new competitor at the end, a new contestant whom all the world's attention was on at the time.
I am Congolese, and I am extremely proud of Chidnmma AND HER journey. It's sad the way she was bullied by her own African people. White knows very well we don't love each other, and that is why they manupulated our ancestor. Congratulations, girl, and I wish you nothing but the best on this journey.
I lived in the Congo, and I never experienced tribalism in that country. I think you guys read something about the tribal conflict on the internet, but if you live in that country, you'll be surprised at how we are. We even marry a lot of Senegalese, Benin, and Togolese; we don't have a problem. Y'all have a lot of hate, and it has shown you people in the negative light. I am surprised you have to follow her even here after leaving your country just to come and leave negative comments 😞 Leave this poor young lady alone.
She's just setting herself up for embarrassment. Everyone sympathises with her for all the online hate she receives, but it doesn't negate the fact that the other ladies from Nigeria who went through the selection /initial stages and had their hopes taken away by someone who wasn't there at the initial stages of the Competition. "I'M A GO GETTER" stepping on the heads of the other contestants to get by shows you up my dear. You wanna be at the top so you step on anyone to get there. Hungry for fame.. I think another Nigerian should have won the pagentry. It seem like they get carried away in their pity to let her win. At the miss universe if she finishes in the top 5 too many questions gonna be asked about her mother's alleged fraudulent documents to gain citizenship. That's embarrassing, she should have waited for one year or more to be in another beauty pagent. Thing is, she claims to be South African and has been ousted;now she Nigerian. How sad! had south Africa not rejected her, would she still try to represent Nigeria. No! no! can't represent two nations simultaneously. It shows a person who is hungry and desperate for fame or to reach to the top with no regards for anyone in her way. She played on "the emotional side of the judges and the voting piblic in Nigeria and it went in her favour. (they showered her with too much compassion at the expense of the other Real, born and bred Nigerians) She's knows what she was doing. She said resilience she possesses; hahaha hahaha. She jumped the queue infront of the other born and bred Nigerians who entered the pagent and not even realising they were there. She's full of herself " she ain't got a chance at winning miss Universe unless it's out of this Universe" (excuse my pun) Miss Universe not gonna bring their pagent in disrepute by giving their crown to someone who initially wanted to come through a door, got pushed out and suddenly jumped through a window because their intention is to get in by any means possible. Nigeria has shown the world once again that they are the master of corruption and pull stringing. Shame on you girl! A more deserving Nigerian should have won. Cry and get emotional in every interview it will drag you to the top..
Enjoy your Dutch Miss Universe of South Africa 2024. Let Nigerians and Africans celebrate our Beauty Queen C...She looks like us. Ask me about a very Beautiful and Eloquent African Lady, I will show you Queen Chidinma Adeshitna!
She is innocent in all this mess and maybe highly traumatized even if she is trying to be strong. Being born multi-racial, multi-cultural,multi-religious etc.. is a blessing that people who come from only one culture, race, religion narrow -minded brain would not begin to understand. Stealing of identity is absolute wrong but this saga needed to happen to expose some people (the parents, the South African home affairs and its corrupt system and South Africans as a whole ). I wish her parents did not allow her to enter or even explain to her the consequences maybe they could have protected her, I mean the parents know the country Chichi grew up in and how African(black) foreigners can be treated. If she had a European name ,British or Dutch in particular maybe it was not going to cause much chaos , or even an African name that similar to South Africans could have maybe not cause too much chaos. For all who says it’s unfair ,life is generally unfair and it is not today that it will change especially when we have greedy , self centered and corrupt human beings. To all those who judge her, treated her harshly or even made a nasty remark on this innocent lady, may your future generation go through something similar so that you will be humbled and begin to understand ,cause it’s only when you are in those shoes you will begin to see things empathetically. We may not be happy with a lot of things surrounding her pageant but, maybe she was destined to win like this, we are simply human beings with no power or control how the universe allow things to unfold , in the end her dreams came through and God answered her prayers, she is a highly favored God spoiled brat. 😊😊😊and haters do not like that. May , Chichi go farther in life than what South Africa would have allow to go. God hands are not short hands and it is not only in South Africa that it can happen, hence why you needed to be pulled out of South Africa for you thrive in your mission. Pure ,South Africans are also migrating looking for greener pasture elsewhere so this is to say the world is a global village . All the Best in Mexico. wear your crown with grace and pride.

When parents fail a child. That is Chidimma's parents. Throughout their child's ordeal you never hear a word from them, both father and mother. The girl is just a lone fighter. When are we going to hear or see them. The daughter also do not want to talk about them. We just hear about Mozambican mother and Nigerian father. It is like they are ghost parents.

Moreover, the new Miss South Africa Mia Le Roux, who is much more intelligent than those who make this ridiculous accusation, defends Chidimma Adetshina.

@johnsitumbeko732 very good question.

Exactly 😂😂😂wtf the mum's from is now quiet. Swear doen these LOT
They think we dumb as a Mozambique national language is Portuguese she can't speak even THAT. Red flag from start

She only concentrates on her own pain. What about the pain of the family whose identity her mom stole. Tired of her shellfish tears.
The world only know SOUTH African for xenophobia how you feel now? Shameless
We are super proud of you my angel... Sorry u were affected by our political issues as a country. U are strong and you will do great.
By her mother
@@RangoatoSinahEven before the issue with her mother, y'all have already started bullying her 🙄
@@ijeoma836they are trying to change the narrative like they didn’t hound this girl like witches and wizard!
Its not our political issues. Her mother stole an ID, didn't you hear that?
Her father is a Nigerian have a logical mother is from Mozambique, but her stepmother is South African and her stepmother Raised her.
Nobody would treat a South African girl this way in Nigeria. That is the thing that shocks Nigerians. An African is an African.
Fame is Hella of a drug...this was her 2nd attempt at miss sa...she entered last Yr and ddnt make the cut...
Long live Nigeria for teaching south-africans a lecture on pride and decency of being african!
South Africa wishes her well, She's now representing her real country
Yes... but you are all of that in people countries and not yours. There's nothing Nigerians can teach South Africans
@@sanelemwelaseexactly the point
Nigeria sold its people into slavery for 500 years, what can you teach any human?
Is this a lesson?
I think she will be miss universe 2024❤
You have no idea how many girls you just impacted... TO REMIND THEM TO
NEVER GIVE UP! EVEN IF THE WHOLE WORLD IS AGAINST YOU
😂😂😂😂😂
Impact of stolen Identity
@@phumlanithabethe5728do u have identity that will be stolen? Ur identity has already been stolen by the Dutch who owns your supposed country.
If South Africa does not want her may Europe or America give her and her Family refugee. No African should be treated like ths in Africa.
I am Congolese, and I am extremely proud of Chidnmma AND HER journey. It's sad the way she was bullied by her own African people. White knows very well we don't love each other, and that is why they manupulated our ancestor. Congratulations, girl, and I wish you nothing but the best on this journey.
Yall can't even get along with ppl from different tribes in ur countries bt u want to unite with SAn...charity begins at home...
@@sharonmanzi4681there is no tribal conflicts in Congo. Do Educate yourself before you comment !!!
YES❤❤❤❤
I lived in the Congo, and I never experienced tribalism in that country. I think you guys read something about the tribal conflict on the internet, but if you live in that country, you'll be surprised at how we are. We even marry a lot of Senegalese, Benin, and Togolese; we don't have a problem.
Y'all have a lot of hate, and it has shown you people in the negative light. I am surprised you have to follow her even here after leaving your country just to come and leave negative comments 😞
Leave this poor young lady alone.
@@Nicole2404 oh OK...the M23 r playing sports in Kivu...?
You made my day❤
Well said ❤
South africans are everywhere but not entering competitions to represent a group they don't come from. SAns are not famous for fraud, crimes, hijacking, drugs, human trafficking etc like ur fellow countryman.. don't act like u don't know that Nigerians already have a really bad rep ain't are not doing anything to correct that. I am yet to see them condemn their own ppl, run programs in communities to fight against crime etc NOPE all I see is you ppl spit on out faces and tell us how wicked we are whilst you know how your ppl do. Y'all make jokes about 419 and think we will laugh with you, No, we are tired of you..
These things they do right in your country and have taken it abroad and u want to diminish that and pretend not to know why SAns are Angry bout You especially...miss me with that nonsense!!
South Africans that migrate to other countries don't steal people's identies and parade themselves as citizens.
You can write that very long essay and try to put a blame on SAfricans. Chidima must just speak the truth and stop being opportunistic. So talk girl, talk
How can you be proudly SA and proudly Nigeria at the same time 😂😂
They arranged her win. The other girls had no chance. Sebi nah Igbo ...loll.
I'm a South African and I love and support her. ❤ She's one of us in everyway.
Thank you
Yes yes yes!! Been looking for this comment
Yes will never be one of us. I'm sure u are Jollofina. She's a proudly Nigerian- Mozambique woman with no SA blood on her veins.
@@sanelemwelase Your xenophobic opinion doesn't change the facts, and ur hatred of others will be your undoing.
Stop trying to be relevant, she said shes proudly Nigerian now you want to own her? Shes not SAfrican, her mother stole an ID. Where were you all along when the story started??
This girl is destined to win Miss Universe! I admire how she demonstrated the ability to pivot with such grace and determination. It's that unwavering resolve that will carry her far, no matter what her detractors may say. Her strength and tenacity are truly inspiring!
True. A’ve been waiting for the interviewer to ask where are your parents? Were they there when you were crowned?
Someone's identity was stolen for over 20 years for her benefit... That is the real victim. This is what happens when the truth comes to the light.
