I found 🔍 the people of Sudan, and I became obsessed with them. 😆 told Grandpa to hire him, and many years went by, and I learned that my Grandpa had him pay for his education and become a professor in his country. He always visited us and had daughters and sons; I was their older sister. Today, I called him uncle. He told me I used to follow him everywhere because of his beauty. 😂😭😬 I still believe, to this day, that they are the people of Egypt. As a little girl, I was always worried about "being too dark" I went to a HBCU in the 90's and the dancing dolls at the time literally had to be "light skinned" I never really had a problem fitting in because I always had long pretty hair and "was pretty for a dark-skinned girl" which was a back handed compliment. I love having these conversations because other little girls need to know that they are beautiful just the way they were born.
