I remember watching this live. After about 5 seconds, I stood up and cheered "Emmit can dance!" He's my all time favorite champion of DWTS. His grin at :47 knocked me out the first time I saw it, and it still knocks me out.
Emmitt Smith can really dance. He has that '70's rhythm we could dance back in the day. His moves are fantastic. I don't follow a lot of football and I'm sorry I'm not familiar with his football career but he can dance and maybe the running back in him helped Cheryl teach him the dances. Great job!
When this show started, I didn't know who I would root for. I thought Emmitt started off well but when it got to 54 sec. to 58 sec. I was hooked. The man's got rhythm!! jgarin07, I agree with you 100 percent.
You can see why Emmitt & Cheryl were paired up again for All-Stars, they flow so well together. I miss pros like Cheryl, Karina and Edyta, they are all such great dancers and teachers!
This is why Emmitt Smith is the heart of a champion. He's probably the best player to grace the field (all time rushing leader, 2nd highest scorer, 3 time SB champ). He has a good sense of humor and a friendly attitude. He always tries his best at anything (even at dancing). He's never afraid to voice his opinion. Bottom line: Smith is a role model for the NFL because he is funny, fearless, and fantastic.
The thing about Emmitt, he was the only star I remember on this show that was enjoying himself from the very first dance, most of the stars come out very timid, not Emmitt!
I have followed his career for decades (we went to the same high school), he has never showed a sign of the ego so many pro athletes develop. Devoted to family and community, garfield has it right, people just like the guy.
Emmitt and Cheryl make dancing look easy. I know it was a lot of hard work and effort by both of them. Exceptional work! This is better than this season.
man as an emmitt smith football fan i have to say that when i saw this I was more than mildly surprised. And its funny that all the women i know who watched that season, loved him cause it was the first "real man" on the show dancing lol
Ever noticed how Cheryl never wears a bra as part of her costume? That's what I call class. Some other dancers just wear a bra and drape strips of cloth here and there and call it a costume.
Ooops! I think I said it in a wrong way. What I meant was that she doesn't wear it on the outside for everyone to see as some others do. I love them too you know!
