I got to meet Apolo last week & one of the questions asked was his favorite dance & his answer was the Paso. His Paso is why I love this dance so much! I don't know how it didn't make the Top 10 Dances!!
Of all the DWTS winners, Julianne and Apolo are still my favorites. =) Some winners in the past may have danced almost as well as they have, but Jules/Apolo still have my top three favorite dances of all time. The Push It cha cha cha, this dance and their Samba. And no couple before or since has had the awesome chemistry that these two had together.
I love the look on Apolo's face...focused and determined. I love the way he moves his body, with strength and arrogance...proper for the paso doble. He looks amazing in that outfit. Love you, Apolo!!!!

OLE OLE TORRO TORRO. I absolutely loved his paso doble. Julianne is a tremendous choreographer and she trusts that Apolo is able to do it. Amazing together. I hope he wins this thing. If not, who cares, I will still be a fan and root for him in the next Olympics.

You know what I love about this paso? He is actually dancing, unlike so many of the pasos now where it is all posing. Drew Lachey also did a great paso that had actual dancing in it. Awesome dance!!!
When I watched the count down and this dance WASNT on it, my roommates were just waiting for my reaction, and led to "Don't throw anything at the TV!" They say this after I chucked my spoon @ it. Best Dance of ALL SIX SEASONS!!!! I always compare every paso doble I see to this one!!!! (and I see and DO a lot of dancing!)
that was when they danced the quick step. if u watch again their foxtrot, during the end of the routine, julianne's left hand was close to the camera and you can see that she was not wearing her ring although we don't know if she wears it during the show or not.
He is such an amazing dancer! In my opinion, Apolog and Julianne are the best couple! I really hope these two win. I'm sure they'll be even more incredible (if that's possible) next week!
He announced today that he'll join the tour for 5 performances. Alas, none of the cities is near me:'(. He said he'd resumed training for the Olymics but quickly realized he couldn't go on without another week of Sambas. Gotta love this guy.

Excellente tu bailar Julianne hough and Apolo Ohno well done and absolutely fantastic dance like a pro dancers champion you are too. Reality stars about by Samantha Harris she said cuties couples ever !!! Such a awesome professional dancers also that was fantastic, splendid the Stars of the show by far ever !!!
Best dance/dancer/season this show ever had. Every season since has been dull by comparison. The show seemed better back then too. Now I don't even anticipate who the celebrities are because it's like 2 people I've heard of and a buncha people who only became eligible over the 3 months the show was off the air.
Re: the song - according to DWTS website it's Carnaval de Paris by Dario G. But dear-I'm old, and I'm here to tell you part of the music is from Darling Clementine. However it's jazzed up enough with a great beat(shrug). Whatever is old, is new again.

it was a great dance, but there was a spot at the start after her slide where she stumbled, and he almost fell im suprised the judges didn't comment, but i loved the dance
So he messed up a little with the knee walk and grab, but he made up for it in the encore and it still does not take away from the fact that this original is stronger and better than the attempt of shorter Frankie and Whitney that was awkward to watch. Still I like them and glad that they mentioned this dance to bring it out of the vault.
I didnt watch during the season he was on and I've been watching reruns on GSN and I couldn't understand why he won but after seeing this was able to understand why
@lotusblossom81 The ABC site didn't offer it as an option for the top 10, just the samba and freestyle. I agree...I love this much more than his freestyle. Apolo is the epitome of a perfect DWTS champion. He came in with ZERO dance knowledge and tons of determination and rocked the place! I don't think Joey and Laila ever stood a chance.
The leap was awesome, I think he really nailed the true Spanish feel of the Paso. Joey did pretty well with it too. Mario did more of a Mexican ranchero. I hope it is Apolo and Joey to duke it out...they are superb and have made it an exciting season. Julianne did a great job w/ the choreography on this, and they didn't have to do it to the wrong kind of music (like they gave them too fast a song for the tango, that's why they did a fast tango Len Goodman!! It wasn't their fault).
I thought that "Daring Clementine" was a stupid song for a paso, not that the producers haven't chosen stupid songs for others before. Miss Julianne as a pro, she was so fabulous!!!!

I totally agree with taraann80 in that the judges show their favorites. That's why I don't like judged sports all that much. I feel (maybe I'm in the minority) that Leila's dances are much simpler than everyone elses yet she receives these high scores. She has a few moves that gets oohs and ahs from the audience and keeps reusing them.
After many a season of DWTS, these two were still my favorite.

I met Apolo at his book signing (Zero Regrets) early this month--what a classy and hot guy. More questions came up about DWTS than his athleticism.

Excellent dance the Paso Doble is a tough dance to perform but they perfected the dance incredibly!

I love them! And the encore was even better! Paso doble is usually very so-so for me but this was the best one since Drew and Cheryl's Thriller.

Julianne Hough's Emmy nod was for the Mambo-to which she and Helio Castroneves danced to--it was a Santana song-I think.

Actually, I liked the 2nd quickstep even more than the paso. Much more complex, longer, and perfectly performed.

Okay. This is really good. but a comment down there was like show me one better. Check out Maria Menunous and Derek Hough, their's isgood as well.
