Your hole breakdowns are the gold standard for DiscGolf. The way you approach the game and analyze each hole to fit your game is amazing. Keep it up Ricky. Worlds 2024!
Wow. Keep these practice rounds coming! Hearing you talk through each shot is really entertaining. This video will be raising my disc golf IQ by a few points.
first time commenting under any pro player's video, I just have to say no one else makes me want to get up at midnight and practice like watching Ricky does. The energy he has is maybe the most real, exciting, and genuine out of any player I see, and I'd love to be able to get out of getting mad at bad shots and just have a good time like this. I want to try these discs and especially be able to have that confident of putting. Until then! I'll start practicing in the morning lol
Ricky, for almost 10 years, I've been watching a lot of the pro's with their pre-game approach to a course. None of them seem to do breakdowns with the depth you do. None of them practice the shot they will most likely hit in the tourney like you do (they tend to throw and express that they might be here...or there...but they play the shot they have...not what they will tend to have during the tourney). None of them seem to provide such clarity of the shot, desired result and disc selection (regardless of who's discs you are throwing) like you do. I'm a Teacher of Teachers for what I do, and I see that's exactly what you are for Disc Golf. It's your clarity and concise wording around every shot that makes it better than others. Your poise, killer instinct (seriously...after a bogey...the rest of the field FEARS you!!!), your determination, and your outright LOVE for the game makes you the ideal Pro to learn from. And those videos of your Raptor Costume practice days!!! Between you and Simon, I don't know of any other players that I'd rather watch play from start to finish. I'm so excited for those players who watch and desire to understand the game like you do.
You figure out how to get that bear home yet? I bet shipping ain't cheap! Lol. You're my favorite player of all time dude. The attitude, the perseverance through it all & you're STILL untouchable at the top of your game. That's what makes you the goat Rick. Great to see you get that first W of the season!
I'm pretty sure no one gets to take that bear home. It's a course trophy they just put winners names on and let them raise. Maybe they get a mini bear or something to take home.
@@gregmoore5135 For sure. He sounded like he really wanted it in the interview after his win though. 3rd W there. I feel like that should earn you the bear. Either way, watching Rick put from circle 2 is insane. Trips me out.
I was thinking earlier, you’re a living legend! We are blessed to get to witness the insane level of play you are capable of. My favorite as of late is watching you practice putt. Perfect make after perfect make from c1 and c2 so casually. Can’t wait to see it in person and meet you one day.
Fantastic breakdowns of the shots and selections etc. And great energy. This was 20 min well spent. (Now I want to see a practice round with you and Sai. She breaks down her thougths and what she does pretty well and have positive energy in loads.)
Congratulations on winning the preserve. I knew you were going to win one soon. That course looks amazing. Definitely going on my disc golf bucket list.
Well thank you youtube that this came up when i scrolled a little.. Started to play like 3 months ago at age 53 and it is damn hard but insainly fun. I see now i have to train more putting cos this was ridicolus to watch, but in a good way. I even think i learned some good things here 😂😂😂
watch that last win at work... got busted cuz i could not control my whoot when you won! (Big fan! keep showing them boyz what a cagy veteran can do when the pressure is on).
Ricky, even if you never won an event, I think your personality and your attitude alone are really great for the sport. Also, I love these videos! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
It makes it that much sweeter that you have disc golf accomplishments so your awesome personality and energy that you bring into disc golf gets to shine even brighter.
Loved seeing you get the win at the preserve. Hey rick, a hack for the tree pitch is a little bottle of hand sanitizer gel in your bag. Learned that one from the pandemic. Good luck this weekend.
I told my Subscribers if u are behind in any tourney you would come back and kick some ass. We'll a great victory last weekend. Goodluck in Sweden my guy 😊😊😊
It has been quite common in Europe for about 10 years. Older courses rarely have those. Trees are already doomed. Makes often a damn loud noise when you hit those. I think it is a good thing. My home course is full of more or less dead trees.
You`re looking pretty good on 3hrs. of sleep!😄 Adrenaline keeping you going. I know the tour is trying to test you guys all the time, but this course looks like it has a good mix of holes and should be super fun to compete in. Super cool content!
damn you guys are wasting no time this season! i thougt it had to be a video from last year that popped up since i just remember seeing you on the US tour
Are there many pro level courses in Germany? I have been playing in few countries, but not in Germany. I know that forests are more or less protected in there, or used to be and building new courses is not very simple. Unfortunately disc golf can never be really big in Europe until we get Germany, France and couple of other countries in so that disc golf is a significant sport in the country.
@@kimmomatikainen1843 Not sure about pro level. Mostly courses are def. made harder for tournaments, but there are some really nice ones. Bermen Weseruferpark, Ilsede or Finsterwalde. We have a 18 hole course where i am from, but it is a more open course. The Sauerland Big Arm Open for example has one of the best ratings i know of. There is some footage of it, too. In Ofterschwang Allgäu is a course with a udisc rating of 4.8, but i have not been there myself yet.
I tried watching it live I didn't get to see all of it like I did the last time you watched your tournament congratulations that was a battle I watch the highlights
...DGPT spoils the winner in the title before You can watch Jomez, the w....r won't even spoil it in his practiceround for the next event! Solid, love me some solid Ricky-logic practice round!
Nordic countries have right to roam. And the fact that fariways often utilise existing crosscountry skiing/running routes, means that there often is other people, oblivious about disc golf and disc golfers. I've manage to suddenly found myself to be on shooting ranges a few times. Luckily, old and disused ones
@@AssassinAgent I understand that and have no problem with someone crossing the fairway or walking down the middle. But this person never turned around or acknowledged someone was throwing a disc.... Be aware of your surroundings regardless of who has the right of way
It is actually very common. At least some of they say that they walked there before it was a disc golf course so they sort of feel like the owners and have the priority status. Don't necessary think that it might not be safe.

Rickys casual putting is just insane

Nice dub Ricky! Your putting is insane. The double cam is sweet! Cool seeing the shot come in.
Everyone learning disc golf should watch Ricky's practice rounds. There is always something to learn about disc selection and course management.
3:12 This is what I'm calling "too Ricky." Love it! Good content as always RW!

They should make miniature versions of it for the champs each year. So they still get something home
I love how you explain the hole, your shot and what your throwing. Helps me understand even when u make a mistake. Awesome stuff 🔥💯
What a great course. More like this please DGPT
Love that course, gonna be awesome to see top pros tackle it this weekend!
Welcome to Sweden Ricky! So fun to see how you play my hometown course. Good luck in the turnament!
Välkommen! 🇸🇪
It's cool to see Ricky's positive mental attitude, even after a bad shot he's telling himself he'll get it next time.
Welcome to sweden! We love ya Rick!
Ricky's circle 2 putting is absolutely mind-boggling!
Mark my words, Socki is gonna win worlds this year!
I hope either him or Calvin 👍🏼

BINGO, champ!! Keep dominating and go down as the GOAT

Thank you, sir! A most excellent opportunity to “hear” you think your way through the round. Educational for sure.
These practice rounds are some of my favorite disc golf content on RUclips. And this course looks absolutely beautiful. Keep it up Ricky!!
Pumped to watch you compete this weekend, wish you the best!
Loved all the small tips for us amateurs 🌟
you are a freaking warrior. That many flights to get there and still crushing it. Inspiration 101

Ricky thank you for sharing your thoughts as you go through your shot process!! Very informative!
I learned so much from this! Good stuff.
Ricky those putts in the last round were clutch! Keep it up. Big fan

That was a crazy round by all 4 of you to put of a good fight until the end
I like those tree protecters.
Freaking love these!!!
Amazing stuff Ricky 👌
Uhmegrdn! Boars Sweden!
we got bamboo on the trees on our local course. i thought it was unique, cool to see another course w them.

what a beautiful course
Awesome adjustments!
thanks for the video Ricky - good luck in the tourney!
22:20 - is that Swedish Woods Troll?!
Hole 5 is the Admiral Akhbar hole; It's a trap. Glad to see even Ricky sending eagle-attempts into the woods xD
Putting the W in wysocki. Congrats on the win. Shake n bake
Welcome to Sweden! :)
The basket on hole 2 looks to be temporary or changed. Last year the basket was just 15-20 meters behind the third tee. Wonderfull course
damn you guys are wasting no time this season! i thougt it had to be a video from last year that popped up since i just remember seeing you on the US tour
Your breakdowns help
Congrats on your win 🏆
Never seen a Raptor in Sweden.. Hope we get to see one ;)
Let's go riiiick!
Let's go ricky! See you on Sunday!!
That throw on hole 2 that looked so bad and literally parked it was hilarious.
I wish for the tour to also come to germany some day. Would be so cool.

Love seeing some Ricky videos again.
Ricky with the ol“ Hawk Tuah” 😂 12:22
Nice
Let's go Ricky!
We need to get Mcbeth in one of these rounds, it would be very interesting hearing both of your game plans!
I tried watching it live I didn't get to see all of it like I did the last time you watched your tournament congratulations that was a battle I watch the highlights
Like the content Rick
Oh yeah Ricky in Europe!!
Ricky is da best!
Yo Ricky I really need to know where I can get me that exact hat you got on thanks i
Ricky are you taking mental notes on certain distances with certain disc or are you just hitting lines with the disc of your choice?
Most exciting putter in the game
Best putter in the world
Watching him sink those deep putts is so damn satisfying
Ricky! Will you sign my Evader at the Estonia Disc Golf Festival? 🙏
"couple tap in birdies" at 25ft me - 😅
this round was on MONDAY?! what an animal
what is the difference between a Emac Truth vs the Trust you were throwing?
I'd say the Trust is a little more stable. I got two somewhat beat in Emac Truths in Lucid and they are closer to 5501.
Ricky do you use this footage of your practice rounds to prepare for the course?
Ricky!!!! Swing by gothenburg and play a round with me!
Welcome to SWEDEN!!

Rickys putt is on another level
Putting is so easy for him it's crazy
