- I really enjoyed playing this game again. It's lots of fun to play and the soundtrack is awesome too. I may also do another video of me showing the hidden bonus level from each level in the game (Which is now done: • PS1: A Bugs Life - 3 B... ) . I was going to have a Ratatouille Longplay done during my Easter holidays but I still require practice at it because I'm still getting stuck a lot on it and I don't want to upload a longplay of me spending an hour doing one small thing. I got a request to play it but I'd never actually played the game before but I'll get round to it eventually. I just have lots to do, I never even managed to get half the things I hoped to get done during my holidays. Anyway I hope you enjoy my replaythrough of this game. It's so relaxing to play and it was done all in one sitting. Cut scenes are skipped to avoid encountering a Copyright claim. I uploaded this already but I must of forgot to skip one cut scene from the movie as there was one played in full, like only 20 seconds worth, after me spending a day saving it and another day uploading it. I had to re render it with that scene edited out. Which took another day and re upload it which also took another day, just because of a stupid 20 second clip. RUclips's laws are getting ridiculous.
Changes made since the first one: Full screen, game completed faster, also I just generally fancied playing it again.

My mom didn't like video games and wasn't thrilled about me playing them. But she warmed up to them over the years. She never really played though. Except this game. While watching me play it she thought it looked really cute and she decided to play. It was fun watching her go from struggling to understanding the controls. We never did beat this game. I eventually traded it in. I can't help but think that if I would have kept it and asked her to play it with me just a few more times maybe we would have bonded more and had a better relationship. She passed away in 2008. RIP mom.

I knew that this game is better than most gave it credit for, but I’d forgotten how wonderful the music is. I was the kind of child whose CDs were all scratched and thus the game occasionally lacked or misloaded music. Saving most of the soundtrack right now ^_^
I've no idea how it got the bad ratings it got. I love this game and from what I've heard tons of others do too.
I haven't played this game in ages but this gives me back memories watching the movie and playing this afterward but i will say the music is very soothing to listen to especially the anthill level theme

What killed me with this game is this is one of those games I had when I didn't have a memory card.
I got near the end, and got a game over, but this game has no continues, so I was sent back to the beginning of the game!
That alone ruined it for me.

Good tines right? I had other games I liked very much as well, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Megaman and latter on I took a liking to RPG games as well. Crazy how I enjoyed those so much eventhough I couldn't understand a single word of what was being said back then since I knew zero english haha

First video game i have a memory of playing. I was 2 in 1998, and i tried to play it with my older brother that was 6 at that time. My God, one of the first memories i have of my life, was sitting in the carpet, with a pilow, trying to play this with my brother. The nostalgia this gave me is beyond words. I always try to remember my first life memory, and its always between this memory, and being in a blue steps of a boat sitting on my moms lap ( i think that was when i was 2 years old too) Incredible yes, having memories of that age...

Disney slept on A Bug's Life like it had a trepidation towards drowsiness. How could a hit brand with a video game that sold millions for both the PS1 and N64 just disappear the way it did? Did it have something to do with that other classic brand that also abruptly disappeared called Antz?
Disney didn't create it. Pixar did. Disney just distributed it.

If you didn't notice there's an easier way to get the letters for lives instead of struggling trying to stay alive and grabbing them in the levels. If you need more lives you can always replay the tutorial level.

Oh yeah, u remember when I was stuck on a level and I was extremely frustrated of the game over screens, I did go to the tutorial level and I think I completed it 20 times just to get the lives that was so much fun

Great to revisit this old classic XD I remember never being able to get past Level 5, with the bird. Kept dying before I could figure out how to fly away. Good to see the ending. But those controls man. All D pad, no analog stick. Thats what made me struggle

I have this game. I beat all 15 levels, and got all the tokens for each level, the grain tokens, the FLIK tokens, and the enemy tokens. This game has a very good soundtrack. all the levels have such great music, very catchy. I like the music for level 10, the level where you have to collect all the pieces to assemble the bird.

This is how this game works:
This game consists of over 10+ levels(including bosses)
Each level will have a massive explorable areas.
The theme of the levels are related to the events of the movie.
You will only control Flik throughout the levels.
Flik's Health is shown on the Leaf.
If theirs any holes on it, that means he took damage. It can be replenished by gathering leaves with + on them. If the leaf has too many holes, he will have only 1 Hit left before losing a life.
When you lose a life, you restart from the beginning or from the checkpoint. However, everything is saved. So no need to recollect anything.
Bosses will have Health Bars. Each hit depletes the bars.
Flik's weapon(berries) can be upgraded through gathering a berry found in the levels.
Tokens are found throughout the levels to grant you a type of plant. It goes in 5 different colors: yellow, blue, green, brown and Purple. Each color determines the type of plant. Gathering more of the same colors upgrades that type of plant with that color.
Golden Berries can also be used as a berry to kill enemies. But it also has a special feature: it shows a counter of enemies to slain when you collect a golden berry. Kill enough and you get a special coin at the end.
Grains can be used to give extra lives but if you collect a certain number of them, you get a special coin at the end
FLIK Letters are found around the levels. They are not useful except gives you special coin at the end when you collect them all.

I remember playing this back in 2007-2008ish when I was 7 or 8 years old whenever I played on my brother's xbox 360 and I had to get off of it whenever his friends gets online on the xbox 360.
This was a great game to play when I got kicked off the xbox 360 despite it's received negative reception and clunkyness, that was part of the game's charm in the late 1990s. I even played spyro 3 a lot since I loved playing the skateboard levels in that game too.
Good times, A Bug’s Life, Batman and V Rally 97 were the very first three games I played back in the 90s as a kid.
I liked all the levels but I remember how much I hated level 4 and level 10 because I couldn’t figure out how to beat them. When I finally did I remember jumping up and down like crazy. Then beating the game felt like an accomplishment, you know you had to do it again afterwards lol.
