I think the lady asking Mindy questions was a bit harsh. I saw Mindy sing one night at a tribute to Tammy Wynette. Every star in Nashville was there, people from other parts of the world joined in via satellite. Mindy was a goddess that night, and delivered the best female vocal performance there that night, by far. I am so glad I was able to see her at her best. RIP.
Not surprised. Wish I would have seen that tribute to Tammy Wynette. I was fortunate enough to see the CMT special "Girls Night Out" with Mindy, Lorrie Morgan, Sara Evans, and Martina McBride. Mindy was the belle of the ball that night for sure. She did a stunningly beautiful rendition of "Long, Long Time." I could not believe how good it was. Breathtaking. I am so glad she had those soaring years in the mid to late nineties where she was chasing her dreams and doing so well. RIP ❤️ Mindy! You are missed.

I just watched CMT News Presents: Mindy McCready: Fallen Angel- and I was just appalled that people thought her getting help from Dr. Drew as means to "get attention." Regardless of whether it helped, I don't think a regular psychologist would have helped her.She went for help and like any other addict, it didn't work the first time around. But, don't say she did it for attention. People in her life, who actually cared, and who should have cared, should have paid attention to the signs.
The problem is that when a celerity is like this, people that care can't reach them. Often, they are seen as wanting a cut of the pie. It's a vicious cycle. I'm amazed how much we kill ourselves over what people think about us. It's all about appearances. Mindy died because the feared she was condemned in the court of human opinion and she was not with anyone that loved her enough to tell her she was loved regardless.
I heard Mindy say many times, she and her brother had bad home life with their Mother Gail.. i think Mindy life has been spiral down hill since she was a child...i think she never was happy as a child, or her brother ,very sad story..we have not lived in her shoes, so please do not judge or bash Mindy.i am sick & rather upset of bad comments on her.you all never lived her LIFE so why judge her now that she gone she wonderful singer, and we as her friends-fans will remember her always.RIP MINDY
Our reality in the west is so so screwed up. Just as the body need healthy food, so also the soul needs healthy food. Celebrities live this outward bubble that does not reach deep down into the soul. We see them happy on stage but at home, when the door is shut, they are human like you and I. They need family, love, rest, food and they need faith - they need God. It is that connection with the source of life that we lack and we wonder why we're sad, hopeless, depressed, angry, mad and chasing something we don't know what. When we build our lives on things, sex, man/women, money - these things can't support our inner being - our soul. That's why many celebrities, despite the fame and riches still tragically end it. I weep for you Mindy - I really do.

No-I'd rather not tangle with someone as powerful as you. You just keep doing what you do-saying what you say. As you get older you might think about how alone and hopeless she must have felt to think her only option was to die. You might realize her pain was beyond anything anyone of us could imagine. You might think about her family-her children and their loss. You might see what an incredible gift she had and how powerful addiction truly is to take her away from it. You might see it-maybe.

It is totally counter-productive for people who are trying to recover from drug or alcohol addiction to be entertaining people in do so. But producers out their know two facts 1.) That down and out "celebrities" need the money..and 2.) People will watch these celebrities go through their "shtick" over and over.
You must realize these people who commit suicide do not even think about things like god. No matter how Christian you are brought up when mental illness and addiction both get you, it's a very difficult road out. Makes you wonder about the whole Christ thing. Fortunately I'm not mentally ill. But my sister is and she's had a tough road ever since she was 14. She is now 64.
Your question should be how "how many addicts of died from their addiction?" A lot. Or how many people have died from their addictions despite going to rehab? A lot. Rehab is a tool not a cure all elixir.
