Can I just say that I really love Anzu's (Aka Téa) character in this show. She feels so much more fleshed out, and feels like her own person. I also feel the same about Honda(aka Tristan), he has way more personality than either of his manga and YGHDM's counterparts.
Yeah I am sad. She kinda became a nameless one off character. Tristan also was fleshed out too. He had his own hobby of beautification. I wish they kept their personalities going. I really like the dynamic yugi and tea had.

@@flowerbloom5782As polarizing as Miho is, I think it was good to have another regular girl for Anzu to play off, and Honda is a lot more entertaining as a result. I'm sometimes curious about how Toei would have done the later arcs with these takes. 🤔

Honestly, I love how Yami completely psychs out his opponents. He remains so perfectly calm the whole time they always start sweating bullets. Even when he's nervous he's not openly showing it. Top tier pocker face. And his aim with throwing objects? Holy shit. THAT'S why he's the King of Games. He has the psychological part of competitive gaming down to a fine art. Makes sense since grandpa Mutou was a gambler.
The animation in this episode is far more faithful than most of the previous ones. A lot of shots look like they were lifted right off the manga panels.

I’m really happy they referenced the second episode where Yami saved Anzu from the criminal and the person watching from the shadows, I know Kokurano is talking about him, but I believe he’s really talking about Yami watching over her and that’s true he is watching over her.
The manga in the beginning made you think Yami was just another aspect of Yugi unleashed when he completed the puzzle before we slowly learn it's not the case. Namely since the regular Yugi she loved for his kindness. But she drawn to the spirit of puzzle for his mysterious but heroic personality. Who happen to take over Yugi's body. Yami did also like her too. Just from the way he called her 'his Anzu'. While he cared for his friends or when Yugi was in danger he would come out. Anzu was particular way to lure him. He was her mysterious protector. Saving her countless times...I don't blame her for be smitten/crushing on him. She wanted to believe they were both Yugi before slowly realizing their separate people. Just because it was too painful for her. I don't think she could .... she loved regular Yugi for his kindness but Yami for his mysterious but heroic personality. And made more to complicated love triangle.

Knowing his feelings for her. That way they can both be happy. As he gains his identity and learns more of his past. And Yami for example he thinks Yugi is going on a date with Anzu. And he wasn't aware it was for him.
