Okay first, I LOVE your book yapping so the long videos are my fave. And also the alarm is SO triggering 😂😂😂 but if this style is easier for you that’s okay I’ll still be here bc I love your videos/ this series!!
I love your clear the cart challenge. I can’t wait to see you read the rest of these books. Some of them are my favorites and would love to hear what you think of them.
I had so many problems with The Wishing Game!🙈 One of the problems you mentioned…the relationship between her and a student was not appropriate on so many levels! Like you, I’ve worked in schools and I couldn’t get past it. On the bright side, I’m glad you liked The Unmaking of June Farrow. It was so good! I love Adrienne Young’s writing and she is an auto-buy author for me.❤
I’m a teacher too and the teacher/student vibe weirded me out too! I get caring about your students, but I was like “oooooh you CANNOT be making those kinds of promises honey!” every time.
@@jessmmassey Nope, I'm a teacher too and have had students living in tough situations and you love them as much as you can, but there is a boundary. I wonder if the author is aware of that. I did really enjoy the book however and want to read her next one. I heard it has inspiration from The Chronicles of Narnia, and I LOVE all of those books.
Since you liked the serpent and the wings of night there is also a novella called six scorched roses that you can read in between the 1st and 2nd book and it was really good as well. It's about one of your future side characters. Marissa Broadbent has also said it will be a 6 book series so we have lots to look forward to in this world!!
i really enjoyed the unmaking of june farrow as well - a good mix of genres. But you're spot on, it takes some attention and thought, which is fine, just not a mindless easy read either. I immediately added the serpent and wings of night to my (oh too long) TBR, sounds amazing! stay safe with the next hurricane coming through!
That's so crazy you can read so many books in one month because my very active two year old I have I had to find audiobooks to help me read some of the books I want to read as well as read before bed. Usually I can still read six to seven books though throughout the month. Happy reading!
I was going to say the same! I hope you both stay safe during the storm. I’m down in Naples so we’re preparing too, but we’re not expecting as hard of a hit
Not a fan of one minute reviews personalky. I am watching booktube to hear y'all yap. If you have more to say about books, I love hearing it. I get a lot of amazing book recs from book tube.
You’re killing this clear the cart challenge!!! 😎

I live about an hour from Tampa, hope you and your family stay safe for this next hurricane!!
I like that there is a disability representation in Daydream since I have Autism. I get to see myself in a book. It means so much to me!
I’m gonna hype you up on ghosted because Sarah Carrolli said it’s one of her favorite fall reads!!!

Also, such an accurate recap of June Farrow. We were ALL confused but still gave it 4 stars. 😂
😂 feels good to know we're all on the same page with it, lollll
Doing great! Also I read Nothing Like This Movies this week. I gave it 5 stars, loved it so much.

Did you know that there is a novella for the Naturals Series that follows up after the 4th book?
ooo no, thank you for sharing! 👀
@@jessmmassey it is called Twelve, I think it is what life is like Twelve years later for them.
I heard you say you’re from Tampa! I hope you, your family, and your books stay safe with the upcoming hurricane!

For Bad Blood…the Novella “Twelve” is in the back of the book!!! Are you gonna read it???
...Adding The Serpent and The Wings of Night on my TBR solely based on your 1 minute review 😆
I seriously had such a good time with it! Cannot wait to read book 2 next year after clear the cart is over!!!
Hope you are okay after Milton. I'm also in the Tampa area:)
@@AJennWhoReads stay safe!!! I’m nervous 🥲

I always read the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings super slowly. They don't make good speed reads for me

When you are saying you chat and chat and chat about books, your dog looked up like he was saying, "Yeah, girl, we know!" 🤣🤣🤣
