We visit Sheffield Christmas Market for a walk around the stalls and the bars and to see what it's like this year (clue - it's great!)
The Christmas Market this year stretches from Fargate and Orchard Square, along Pinstone Street and Peace Gardens and down to The Moor where the big wheel and more market stalls are located
I have to say Sheffield Christmas Market is definitely up there as one of the best for me!

I used to live and work in Sheffield, I took it all for granted, now in the USA and still miss it 40 years later.

@@GimbalWalkTV It does, as a late teen it was brilliant, so much to do, good friendly people too just like you said.
Trust me it's not as nice as it looks anymore, it's full of smack heads and beggers, I won't go into the city centre anymore, such a shame

I love seeing the Christmas lights on in the evening cause it brighter up the town and having big markets and lovely food and drinks and Christmas Dinner and trees all lights up against the dark skies

Went to sheffield Chrismas market couple years ago ,generally one of worst I've been too ,glad to see they've put some effort into it this year

I do miss the Ferris wheel it’s from my home town llandudno I can see it on the pier from my window

@Gimbal Walk TV Sheffield's a special spot for me. Part of my ancestry is linked to it. (Americans, like me, are basically mutts.) A great, great grandfather was an edge-tool maker . He was head-hunted by George Eastman in the late 1800s to work as a machinist for the Kodak company. I think a lot of skilled men were brought to the states from sheffield because of their training with precision tools. My ancestor contributed to a number of patents.

Sheffield Markets look amazing 🤩 lots of different stalls to look at.
The Boulion Chocolate native to Sheffield looked very nice I'd love to try that.
I've never had the Chocolate Kisses either!
Lots of new buildings being built in Sheffield looks like it's a vibrant place to live.

Well I wasn’t going to bother with sheffield Christmas market this year as last time I went it wasn’t very good, but after watching your video, I will definitely be giving it a visit this year. Thank you for showing us this years Christmas market 👍🏽

I'd say Manchester beats it for pure size and what is there in terms of choice of stalls etc - it's huge and streches all across the MCR City centre

@@njow7586 Same as last year. If you google, some people complained about this too (not just this year but they said it’s been like this for a while now) Lots of closed stores but that’s same wherever you go nowadays.

I can't understand why these TV companies , need sound engineers and also somebody stood there with Mike on a pole and another guy with a big camera , when all you used is a little camera 🎥 a gimbal stand with a little mic on the top ;

The comment about the Christmas market not having anything to buy such as gifts accurately describes the whole of Sheffield City centre. So many empty shops, and it's really stretched out if you take a walk from one derelict end to the other newly built concrete and glass boring souless moor end with the world's smallest market. During the daylight hours, you can really see the decline. And the growing population of crackheads everywhere. This video would be the perfect marketing tool if only it wasn't so far from the truth!

From a guy that lives here in Sheffield. Have to 100 percent agree👍....Its know Now as The City of, Iron and Steel..Where the men do the Ironing and the women do the stealing!!!!!!!!
Going the Sheffield eye is not worth it because you won’t able to see the view

Is it me or do all the stalls look very generic, once you've seen 3 stalls you've seen the lot, apart from the Greek food stall and the woodcarving stall ♥️🤖
Now imagine how many Christmas Market's I've filmed and that it's the same in every town and city and you'll understand how crazy I'm going 🤣
