I am so excited to announce my new multi-sensory greeting cards. Now shipping free everywhere in Canada, US, and UK. Let's chat about what's next for the channel and how we are going to smash accessibility barriers and get accessibility and universal design into the hands of people that need it. ahh! i love the multisensory aspect! i personally like the stimulation of different textures, sights, and sounds! these will be awesome for neurodivergent people too! these cards look amazing.
Thanks! It’s always my goal to make things as universal as possible. I definitely hoped it would be fun for neurodivergent folks but didn’t want to assume. :) I’m so glad you like them!

Very excited about the sunglasses! I have a circadian rhythm disorder and I manage my sleep partly by controlling my exposure to light. I try to get a lot of bright light in the morning and avoid bright or blue light at night. It's a real pain in the butt to get aesthetically appealing glasses that block enough blue light (really, the only affordable option on the market is glasses designed for laser safety).
(Also, I know that sleep issues are very common in blind people with no light perception, but I don't know very much about sleep in blind people who can perceive light. I would be interested to see a video about that sometime.)
Excellent suggestion! I’ll do some research and see if there’s any link. I’ve always had terrible insomnia despite having light perception. And I know many of my blind friends who have some remaining vision are in the same boat. Obviously that isn’t a great sample size but a good topic for a video to be sure!
I am working to make sure we can get the proper blue light filter and fl-41 tints. I’m just in the validation phase to ensure that what my manufacturers say they are delivering is actually what they are delivering. :) I hope we’ll have something better “laser safety” chique :P
@@UnsightlyOpinions I to suffer from insomnia, quite a bit. I take melatonin, as well as bedtime meds to help me fall

I love the idea of the sunglasses. I have white hair and my eyebrows are very light. I may be able to use your sunglasses as an accessory so I won't have to use eyebrow color. 🥰
As a fellow white haired/eyebrowed gal, I’m sure you are lovely with it without eyebrow colour. But I’m glad you are so excited about the sunglasses! 💜
This is so awesome. Congratulations. I have become sensitive to sunlight for the past few months. I have retinitis pigmentosa. I don’t know what’s behind it, but sunglasses seem to help the situation. I’ve never been able to find sunglasses that cover my entire eyeholes, and are the right amount of darkness. I’ll be giving yours a try.

@@UnsightlyOpinions Gigantic corporations don’t get it right on the first try. As long as you don’t turn into one of those blind voices that turned their backs on the community once they got to the top, you’re all right in my book. Stay as you are. Authentic, strong, and everything in between.

When you spoke about colors, I was a little unsure if you were just talking about the lenses being colored, or both the frames and the lenses? I can't wait for these!!! :)

New blind girl here. I wish I read braille so I can enjoy your cards more.
It made me sad and upset during Christmas time because my longtime friend from grade school sent me a card, but she has no idea how much personal loss I have so I couldn’t even see it. My husband read it to me and said there was a snowman on the front. But it’s just not the same if you can’t read the card with a personalized message in it.
I don’t think I’ll learn how to read braille anytime soon as I’m in my 50s. But I am glad that you’re making accessible friendly products. Hoping your new venture is very successful.
Hi Holly! Thank you so much! I'm sorry you had such a rough time over the holidays. I can empathize deeply with that experience and no longer being able to read cards.
I know you are likely dealing with a whole lot with recent vision loss, but if you do get the chance, a few braille letters and numbers can be incredibly helpful (and not super challenging). Awesome for keeping things straight around the house and not ending up on the wrong floor of a building. haha I've worked with students in their 70s who learned it in a few months, so don't count yourself out!

Wow Tamera, I am so excited for your upcoming products. I am especially excited about the sunglasses, although I think the cards sound amazing, too. I am not one who buys premade cards, but I will definitely purchase some from you. I think it is both fantastic and very much needed that what you are doing is being an advocate for and creating products that are accessible for everyone.❤ oh, and I do apologize if this comment is rather nonsensical. Life has been a bit chaotic around here with a new puppy (and I do mean puppy literally) raising to become a future service dog.

On a sidenote, by the end of the year, I'm going to have 5 10 week old puppies in my home for four days. Talk about chaos! Three girls: caramel, apple, and cider, and two boys, maybe, pumpkin and spice, plus my own two dogs.

On another subject, I am wondering if you can do me a favor: I called V, my eyes, today, to ask if I had any stains on my shirts. Before I ask my questions, I always tell my volunteer helper how much I appreciate, their time and service. The gentleman I spoke with, this evening, said that out of three years of volunteering, I am the first person to thank him. I was absolutely shocked, horrified, and very upset! Would you be willing to address this on one of your videos?

That is shocking to me! I’ve always thanked the person who helped and everyone I’ve seen using be my eyes has always thanked others too. I’m surprised. I’ll ask the next person I talk to and if that’s happening I will absolutely address it!
This is exciting, especially the sunglasses! Having photophobia, finding good gradient sunglasses is challenging because they are never dark enough on top where I'm trying to block the light! Also wanted to plug that the kind that go over regular glasses have extra coverage at the top and sides that block light. My optometrist let me buy those frames and did a custom gradient for free! They aren't cute, but they worked until they broke.
I’m finalizing frames and tints so I hope we get something that’s amazing for photophobia. Never finding something dark enough is my same issue. If you like the fit-overs. I’ll look and see what those may cost to bring in. :)
I am so, so excited for your glasses!!! :) Fluorescent lighting gives me such a headache! Also most indoor lighting and sunlight, unless it's kind of overcast. I've always had a hard enough time finding dark enough glasses. I also prefer rap-arounds, because they block more light. I have some C9 brand glasses right now, and they work okay, but I wouldn't at all mind better ones. :) I also have a very narrow face, so finding something that will actually fit me is also challenging.

Hi Tamara! I was in the process of ordering a congratulations card on your sight, all went well, until I choose PayPal, then suddenly, all postage prices appears, for fed x, Canadian post. So I had to just choose, not to order, as I was to be charged, a lot for postage.

I need dark Lense glasses with Glare proof Lense. Polarizing doesn't cut enough glare for me.
I will definitely have very dark tints! 99% is the darkest at the moment. I’ll ask my manufacturer about what they can do for anti-glare
Any chance getting the braille in extra big dots as I struggle with normal dots.
How do you create extra big dots normally? It’s not something I’ve ever seen before. If there’s an inexpensive way to do it, I’d be happy to offer jumbo dots
