God bless his long life & his British style blue-eyed soul career.
Soul's got no color.... Hamish Stuart you are an exceptional musician/ singer ❤👸🚴🏽♀️♑🐬
Was a sad day when he left AWB that band was never the same.
When he left the AWB lost 50%
Allen doesn't like hearing people say that, I got that from a horses mouth who I can't tell say. I was told not to talk about Hamish Stuart when I met Allen when I was at the Jazz cafa in England. I seriously pissed him off. I saw him a year later in Louisville while I was visiting my hometown, he would not speak to me. I made him so mad in England.
Yes indeed
He gave that band their distinctive sound
...and neither was he in anything that equalled AWB... so what's your point?
My man...his voice is one in a million signature for AWB
"Average" age of the rest of the band, around 30+. Speaks absolute volumes for the strength and musical validity of Hamish's' life's work and back catalogue...👍
I’m not sure Hamish ever got his true respect and praise from the music world. he definitely is one of the most underrated soul and funk singers of our time.
Seems to have found a new Worldwide audience, touring with Ringo Starr's all star band😊👍
he is the scottish godfather of soul, if not the uk.@@jamesdewitt6329
I want you to know Brother Hamish, your voice inspired me back in the 70's I was in a singing group back in the day now I'm a godly man ,that song is heavenly 🎉
This is so alive and rich! I believe every note he plays and sings!
Beautifully done!
❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
A blast from the past! All of you were not the Average in the Average White Band! I loved all your music….hated that the band split up. I can understand going out on your own…teaching and mentoring…and being the best!!
THE OG! So happy you're out there again Hamish. Missed your voice forever.
He revised the song ,and adjusted it to still be a smooth jazzy ballad!
He didn't revise it it's just a different arrangement for live performance all the greats do that duh
Revised: to make up to date version! ,not tripping over terminology
Awesome performance, Hamish! Only thing missing from your heyday is your beard!
I wish Stever Ferrone still would be with him....
he is back with him.
@@tomrawley6549what do you mean he isn't playing with Tom petty anymore?
he is , the 360 band.
as a lifelong fan of this man, this song says it all, a musician of pure quality, he is IMO the godfather of british soul, how fitting baz gordon is on stage with him, the next genius in waiting.
Preach brother!
Make that Scottish soul
Hamish, we love you! GOD Bless You.
My, my, my....Hamish you will ALWAYS be the one.
What a tremendous sax player.
Can make You shed a tear 🎷that Is a badd man
Hamish is the baddass of the bad asses love it 👌🏿
Wonderful
Fantastic version!! Thanks for sharing, Baz!
Would love to see a new McCartney/Stuart partnership once more again... guy is terrific.
Gave me chills!!
My favorite song!
love it....
Ahhhhhh yes!
Hamish you had one of the most amazing unique voices in RnB. I'm sorry brother but it's time you let it rest. I hate having to say it .
This new band is tight !
The sax player is off the chain 👏👏👏 . Thank you Hamish for all the memories. I'll never forget you.
You are right but let him do his thing, he's getting old and we must accept that this voice is losing a bit....
In my opinion, partnering with McCarthy did not allow Hamish to keep his vocal cords “exercised” or fine tuned to its fullest and rich power as he had while singing with AWB. He needed to keep at that range throughout his singing career to sound the same. It’s like any other instrument, got to keep practicing and rehearsing at that level to stay strong. A lot of OG singers still got range because they kept up up with their true strength and potential as magnificent musicians/singers.
Love the go of it. Vocal is very interesting nice groove
Amish let’s put another AWB together bring love back to the world , you met me before ! 😊
Back in the day Hamish was known as the white Marvin Gay.
AWB was at its best when he was with them.
What happened why did y'all break up ??
