Hey Tuk Tuk Foodie!!! We have never tried Durian before, and heard it's definitely a taste (smell) to be desired!! LOLOL It's really so much fun watching people cut them open though. That's so cool they have a different grading for them and interesting they have to clear customs. Is it the sellers who grade them? We heard, that the stronger the smell, the better they taste! These guys care so much about their products, and definitely take a lot of time and care into preparing them!! Thank you for taking us with you and love you to the moon!! 💖🥰🌛🤗😘
Hey yall!! wish you could try it as well - Durian is an acquired taste. Lol you'll either hate it or love it (it's addictive!). The gradings are done right at the source (Plantations in Malaysia) and it also takes an eagle eye to differentiate them since each variety has different taste profile, texture and feel to it. And yes, these have to be cleared through the customs (at the border with Malaysia) as well since Singapore pretty much imports Durian from all over Malaysia (and Thailand). So those truckers that you see in the video are on the road for almost 12-14hours each day (round-trip) just to satisfy our cravings! Take care and much love to yall as well 🌈🥰🌈
