This was often sung in this way in Scottish Presbyterian Churches. My grandfather used to sing this in a church choir in the early twentieth century and he was a Scottish Baptist. It’s beautifully done here.

Except that Vaughan Williams specifically scored it for organ and orchestra in addition to choir and congregation. The choral score says that the opening fanfare as well as the interlude before the fifth verse are to be played by "all available trumpets." This arrangement was written for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953 and I assure you that the British, with their penchant for pomp and circumstance, followed the composer's instructions to the letter.
Thats the Lord's Prayer put to Music 🎶
Hallelujah
The sound of those pipes ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Too bad it's not used more now instead of just being used to. I love the hymns over what we have now for worship music
Outstanding. Arranged for the Queen's coronation. God Bless Elizabeth The Great and may she rest with the heavenly hosts in Paradise.
She supported Nazis.
@@operasmith7162 How specifically?

Its so sweet and blessed!
Exceptional performance.
This is mislabeled. This is “All People that on Earth do Dwell”, not the single verse doxology. But I’m definitely not complaining 😇
I noticed that too but I am not complaining either
Vaughan Williams would have said slower.
Much better if there's no mechanical instruments because We can't focus on the people singing
Agree, the organ is a wee bit overpowering too at times
