I still can't believe I forgot the one thing I needed to take payments LOL! Here's the checklist I usually use to remember everything at my shows, and I'm never skipping checking this list again! 😂Free PDF download here: mailchi.mp/e328bcc71726/craft...
With the Square, you can now get a credit/ debit card to use that you have all the money that you made from the sales. Absolutely love having the card and keeps the business purchases separate for income taxes
Your set up is the best! I am stilll lovin' your velvet headbands! I've seen so many others out there, but yours are the prettiest and I refuse to buy anyone else's patterns! Totally waiting for you to put out a pattern for all the sizes. Nobody does it better!
With SQUARE, you can tap on your phone to pay as well if you don't have the contactless reader. It takes a little bit longer and runs down your phone battery but I agree that the contactless reader is game changing. I adhere mine to a tiny little table stand so I don't lose it or drop it and customers love it too!
I was able to just use the Square app at my last market! But maybe it's my phone rather than the app. People were able to tap my phone to pay, and that's where the majority of my sales went!
Hey Camyrn! I wanted to tell you how much I love your displays! When I watch your vlogs I always am blown away by how beautiful they are! Next week I have a booth at a local market so these videos are very helpful. Keep making great content!
It's nice that you have so much space. Usually I'm inside and the space is 8' by 10' or 10' by 10'. Some outside events you can have a bit more space but generally they are pretty strict. Have a wonderful weekend 🤗💖
Oh my goodness, TWO vlogs in one week?!?!?! YESSS!!!!!!!! 🤣❤ I hope you feel better soon! I am a little under the weather as well and I know it's not fun. :( Great job interacting with people and staying energized despite the cold weather and not feeling well!! 😊
Girl!!! I have my first pop up shop on Nov 18 and omg you give me so much confidence. You show what you do which is hard to find now in days and so full of life. I just found your channel today and you are my favorite!
❤️❤️❤️ I am so glad I've been able to help as you get closer to your first show (a huge congratulation, by the way!!)! As you get closer, don't hesitate to reach out with any questions :)
The little hat with bear ears is actually not my pattern, it's from Crochet Dreamz! Here's a link to their pattern :) crochetdreamz.com/crochet-baby-hat/ I do also sell my beanie with the double poms on my website!
I have tap to pay set up on my phone. It works with other peoples phones too. Like if they have Apple Pay. But I think I need to get the mag stip card reader. Coming across more people that have older cards.
Hi Camryn! Love your videos and your energy!! I have a question.... I want to try and make the baby booties and wanted to know if you could suggest a good yarn for making them. Much appreciated!!
Thank you so much for making your vlogs!! I have my first market in a few weeks and you’ve been SO helpful! I was wondering, when you have people come up to pay I noticed you say in the videos like “that’s 15 dollars”, do you tell them the price of the sales tax then after you put it in on square? Just worried that people are going to be annoyed by me collecting the tax 😅
Omg I hope you feel better. This is the season to really build up that immune system. Maybe replace the chai with an herbal tea. Your body has been not feeling well for awhile. I think it could be the weather change and being around more people. Please take care of yourself and thanks for sharing. Your videos are inspiring.❤️
Hey Camryn, where do you purchase your Pom poms for the beanies? I was in Joanns the other day and noticed they are about 5-6 bucks…ouch! That’s going to cut into profit margins quite a bit.
I order mine from Amazon! Here's the affiliate link for the exact ones I use :) - Black amzn.to/3hpGRJa - White amzn.to/41xTRiE - Brown amzn.to/3Y6w720
You always dress so cute for your shows. I have been to a lot of craft shows where the vendors are wearing leggings and sweatshirts, messy bun and basically comfy and not professional. Do you find that your sales are better based on your appearance? (I mean put together vs just rolled out of bed)
I would say that yes, appearance definitely does impact performance, but more in the sense of your appearance matching your brand thematically and falling within the expectations of your target audience! Looking too professional (unless that is the theme of your business) can be off-putting for people as well! What's most important is your attitude and how you engage and interact with customers! You can look very casual (like me) or like the people you've described and still be appealing because you are welcoming as a person! More casual or comfy clothes can be inviting, too, so long as it doesn't go against the image your brand is trying to project!
Hi Camryn I love watching all of your RUclips videos and love the tips that you give out. I know you have done a video on pricing but I would like to know about market sales like the one you do with your key chains, when I noticed that I remembered that I sell my products at one price where it might be better if I tried some bundle sales for things like my keychains and dog bandannas, I do one for my scrunches but that is it. What do you think of selling 2 products at a cheaper price or buy 2 get one free?
For my keychains and scrunchies, I do do a Buy 3, Get 1 deal! I personally think having bundle deals like that is totally fine and they do incentivize people to shop! However, you have to make sure the deal is still profitable for you! For example, if you are selling hats for $10, but they cost $5 to make, you wouldn't want to do something like Buy 1, Get 1 because you'd be making no profits. I hope this helps answer your question! If not, please feel free to send me an email and I'd love to chat in more detail :)
Do u have to have a business account for a square reader or can it just go to ur normal bank account I had 2 events last week 1st I sold nothing 😢 2nd one was much better even though there was only 7 of us , it was my monster lucky dip that saved me again , Loved ur little guests this week so cute xx
Hi, Nina! I'm sorry that one day was a bust :( If you ever want to break down the day over email, I'd love to talk about what lessons/insights we can gleam from it! But I'm glad the second day went better :) I do have a separate business account, as it allows me to better track all my transactions for tax purposes. Additionally, it allows me to "pay" myself, also for tax purposes!
It really does depend on the size of the show, but I’d say 30-60 per day is a pretty regular price here for a typical show! I actually average out the usual cost with how many items I typically sell per show, and then input that cost into my Pricing Calculator, so that fee is covered!
Yes, ultimately it is still worth it! While I will have to consider if I want to return to this venue next year, it is still worth it to set up and do it now. The question is this: is something else MORE worth it next time?
I think making some eggs and a nest for the chickens would be so cute...not for all of them just a few..also think about doing Turkeys closer to your Thanksgiving.
The events I attend to have a fee for setting up! On average, the ones I do tend to be around $50 a day, but I have done some which are double or triple that! However, for the particularly expensive events, I am always confident I will more than make that up because of the particulars of the event, such as heavy traffic.
Thank you so much for making your vlogs!! I have my first market in a few weeks and you’ve been SO helpful! I was wondering, when you have people come up to pay I noticed you say in the videos like “that’s 15 dollars”, do you tell them the price of the sales tax then after you put it in on square? Hello,
nice vlog. 😊
The link unfortunatelly doesn't work.
Greetings from Germany,
Anni
Hey the link still doesn’t work ❤
I love your energy and your smile when you're talking to the video 😊 it seems you really enjoy talking to the camera ❤😊
I absolutely love being on camera, because I get to imagine I am actually with all of you! :) Thank you for the kind words ❤️
With the Square, you can now get a credit/ debit card to use that you have all the money that you made from the sales. Absolutely love having the card and keeps the business purchases separate for income taxes
That is so cool! I may have to think about trying that!
Your set up is the best! I am stilll lovin' your velvet headbands! I've seen so many others out there, but yours are the prettiest and I refuse to buy anyone else's patterns! Totally waiting for you to put out a pattern for all the sizes. Nobody does it better!
Thank you so much for your kind words!! :) I'm working on that pattern to release to you all!
With SQUARE, you can tap on your phone to pay as well if you don't have the contactless reader. It takes a little bit longer and runs down your phone battery but I agree that the contactless reader is game changing. That's a great idea! Thank you :)
portable chargers are my life, never leave home without mine ❤❤
My husband has been keeping a big block charger in his truck 😂😂 While I laugh, it's saved me many times!
I was able to just use the Square app at my last market! But maybe it's my phone rather than the app. People were able to tap my phone to pay, and that's where the majority of my sales went!
That's so great! I'm glad that made your first market go that much smoother :)
I also set that one up on my phone. I will be using it the first time this weekend!
I love these vlogs, they're so cozy feeling!
Thank you! I love them too :) Because I get to take y'all along with me!
Hey Camyrn! I wanted to tell you how much I love your displays! When I watch your vlogs I always am blown away by how beautiful they are! Next week I have a booth at a local market so these videos are very helpful. Keep making great content!
I am so excited by your upcoming markets!! I'd love to hear how they went :)
And thank you for your kind words! :)
It's nice that you have so much space. Usually I'm inside and the space is 8' by 10' or 10' by 10'. Some outside events you can have a bit more space but generally they are pretty strict.
Have a wonderful weekend 🤗💖
Wow! I'm sure you've had to build up some serious display skills when there's more strict space rules like you've described!
Oh my goodness, TWO vlogs in one week?!?!?! YESSS!!!!!!!! 🤣❤
I hope you feel better soon! I am a little under the weather as well and I know it's not fun. :(
Great job interacting with people and staying energized despite the cold weather and not feeling well!! 😊
I'm sorry you were feeling under the weather :( I hope you're feeling better now!
I love my Square card reader…you will love it too I’m sure
I am so totally loving it! :)

@@camryns_cute_creations thank you so much ❤️❤️ you teach me how to interact with customers which is a huge blessing ❤️❤️
First! Thanks for sharing your journey I love watching your videos while I'm crocheting
I love taking you all along with me :) Thanks for joining!
Don’t sleep on that portable charger I love mine!!! Definitely worth every penny.
The portable chargers are a total necessity!
You should think about getting a little USB heater to keep you warm. 😀
That is also a good idea!! I have a big camping heater which REALLY keeps me warm, but it can be inconvenient to pack!
Hi! Prepping for my first market in novemeber! I’m so nervous and excited but I’ve found so much inspiration in your videos. Thank you so much!
I'm so excited for you to have your first market!! :) Thank you for the kind words ❤️
Do you sell any of your patterns? I am loving your hat with the ears! You’re booth is awesome.

Having as many payment options as possible is always beneficial!
May be you need to get some vitamins to keep u going , hope u feel better this weekend xxx
I do need more vitamins!! ❤️
Hi Camryn! Love your videos and your energy!! I have a question.... I want to try and make the baby booties and wanted to know if you could suggest a good yarn for making them. Much appreciated!!

I know a girl named Camryn. She has a craft show prep list. You should try it. LOL!!!😂❤
Oh my gosh 😂😂😂❤️

Thank you so much for you kind words! :) I have been drinking a lot more tea recently, as you said!
ooh that's the square reader that I have! My first market is tomorrow, so hopefully it works well for me! :D
I'm so excited you had your first market!! :) I'd love to hear how it went!

So In love with your videos❤ where do you get your blue labels made?
Hi there! I actually have a whole video talking about everything related to my tags :) ruclips.net/video/yyupWCk-OlQ/видео.html

What brand of yarn do you use for the knitted (Addi/Sentro?) headbands and hats at 8 mins 35 seconds?
It's called "I Love This Yarn" from Hobby Lobby!
@@camryns_cute_creations Seriously!?! In the video it looks like velvety yarn of some kind! Awesome and thank you for replying!! 🩷
Hi what’s an average price for a table at a craft show in your area? NYC it’s $45-$200. How do you price according ?
It really does depend on the size of the show, but I’d say 30-60 per day is a pretty regular price here for a typical show! I actually average out the usual cost with how many items I typically sell per show, and then input that cost into my Pricing Calculator, so that fee is covered!

I think it's about 2.5 by 3.5 feet!
@@camryns_cute_creations thank you
but what about the fees??? is it worth it?
Yes, ultimately it is still worth it! While I will have to consider if I want to return to this venue next year, it is still worth it to set up and do it now. The question is this: is something else MORE worth it next time?
It is totally worth it. I have been using it for the last 4ish years. It pays for it self in a short time.
I think making some eggs and a nest for the chickens would be so cute...not for all of them just a few..also think about doing Turkeys closer to your Thanksgiving.
Having eggs and a nest as part of the display is such a good idea!!! And I will definitely look into a turkey pattern :)
i have a question sis ...are these market place costs you for your stall? like how much you pay
