I require hundreds of feet of "garden" hoses during four seasons on a 5-acre farm: to refill a small duck pond during winter, to irrigate a few acres of grass during summer, and to fill animal watering buckets year round. So, the hoses never get a break during scorching summers (100+F) and cold winters (lows around 0F). A hose constructed of materials similar to Flexilla is my clear choice. It resists UV/ heat degradation during summers and remains flexible in freezing weather. It doesn't kink easily. My 5-year-old flexilla hoses have become horribly discolored (mold) and suffered some abrasion from being dragged over asphalt. Still, they remain fully functional and have outlasted my other "premium" rubber hoses, which are now too stiff in winter, kink, or suffer cracking. Flexilla's touted aluminum fittings may be crush-proof but do oxidize and can become challenging to unscrew- I routinely needed a wrench and vise-grip to unscrew them after a month's use. I added quick-connect brass fittings, and the problem was solved.

I read that brass fittings cause lead in your water and recommend that brass faucets be changed out often for that reason??

I've been buying those shitty expanding hoses. They burst under normal use in less than a year. POS. Just got this hose today so I'm hoping it lasts. ty

I bought this hose and it's total trash, I had to return both as they would kink so badly they were unusable.

Absolutely the worst hoses I’ve ever bought. I don’t know about kinks, but you can’t leave them on with a hose and sprayer because it won’t take the pressure. The end blew off the hoses…twice! Tried to repair with new hose end parts, but nope…still blew!

Why does everybody think aircraft aluminum is so special? Brass is so much better. If you didn't know, brass with aluminum does not mix. It causes the aluminum to corrode. Most house bibs are made out of brass. So right off the bat you have to get plastic fittings to accommodate the aluminum or you have to take it off the spigot after every time you use it. If you leave aluminum on brass too long it will fuse to the brass and cost a lot of money in the long run.

All I can say is, I used mine for years while running a small power washing business, and now they're the only hoses I buy. Never had an issue.

Flexzilla lol is the inflated priced version of uberflex…. Which is the same hose by the same company in blue and cheaper….. want one more fact you cant get the same hose in black by the same company uberflex at walmart for even cheaper in black….
Compare the patent number on them and youll see

@@ttss5726kinda curious what you think inflated price means when a regular 100ft garden hose is around $40 for a crappy one and 80-100 for a good hose, and a flexzilla is $60 and is very high quality.

I second quick connects as a great option. Additionally, for me I use an enclosed roller box thingy and that is what the hose connects to…and that appears to be an aluminum fitting. I then have a 3ft hose that connects the bib to the roller, and that small hose is brass. So in my case a brass fitted main hose would be undesirable cause it might fuse to my roller box fitting, which i believe is aluminum.

Why would this be an Amazon review when everyone sells them, I did lot research on these hoses the ends are made of aircraft aluminum once they are attached to brass sprocket the two metals do not react well together which in time will cause the aluminum end to breakdown even have a permanent bind to spicket making hard to remove from spicket it happened to me few years ago with different brand hose had aluminum connector could not even take it off with a wrench had to cut off spicket just below it on the PVC pipe & get new spicket, also these hoses are bad for bursting poor psi pressure that using a hand sprayer at the end can cause the end to burst scary...

Absolutely the WORST hose I've ever used! Kinks like CRAZY! Rolls in on itself and I struggle every time I use it to straighten it out. I do not have one of those roll up garden hose holders. I have a hose pot. It's a nightmare to use this hose. I bought two of them one for the front and one for the back for $50 each I'm giving them both away and getting something else that's how frustrating this hose has been.
