Hi Ewan, what a great and honest review. That is why an independent review is so much better than reviews from "influencers" who have been invited. My Mum and I are feeling honored to appear in your video. The Duck à l'Orange tasted just amazing, but you are right that it is not ideal that two guests have to order the same.
Thanks, Ronan yeah I think it’s really important to be impartial and fund your own trip to give an independent review. Enjoy your trip on CX they are a great airline.
This is a great vlog - honest and accurate. We sailed on Anne this summer and loved her. I have to admit to being surprised at how your P Grill cabin was - I’d imagined it would be larger. Furnishings/coffee machine seemed elevated to Britannia. Bathroom products are the same.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing your experience as well. So just for clarification, were you in a Britannia club cabin? I had often wondered what they were like in comparison to a princess grill.
@@ewanwilson2315 We actually had an ocean view this time which was quite spacious. Our sofa was shorter than yours and the room would have been smaller, I’m sure but not by a lot.
excellent. Oceanview really does help. I have tried on occasion to survive an inside cabin and I found it a little challenging.!! although Monique’s solution was to tune the TV to the camera on the bridge looking forward which helped!
Excellent video Ewan, and I agree the Queen Anne is very avant garde, but wild horses wouldn't get me on a cruise ship - that's purely a personal choice. I liked the cabin & I note that Monique was honing in on a sales pitch !
hey Richard yeah I except that cruising isn’t for everybody. It wasn’t a thing I was particularly interested in until about 20 years ago. Went on one trip and enjoyed the fact there was always something to do or you could choose to do nothing and someone else was doing the driving. In fact when I think about it now on the first cruise there was a lecture from a retired Air accident investigator that went across a couple of days as we were at sea which got me! and Monique always found something to do which she really enjoyed
Interesting. What do solo traveler's do when they order from the Ala Carte Menu? Can we have both servings since we are booking fares for two people? And is this policy on the QM2 too? Thanks for your insights.
two great questions. I understand it’s the same on all Cunard ships. In terms of your first question, I don’t know the answer. I’m sure if you were to email them, they would give you the correct answer .Thanks for reaching out.
We went on the cruise just after this and it was amazing in Princess Grill, the suite and the service was impeccable, 100% will go in Princess again!
I’m glad you had an amazing time. It certainly is a beautiful ship. Safe travels.

I would have expected this suite to be much wider, and a much larger bathroom. 🤨
yeah, it was quite an narrow cabin. I did wonder whether or not in the Queens grill what the big difference was maybe bigger bathrooms?
@@ewanwilson2315 in Queen's grill you also get a bathtub and a walk-in wardrobe so a lot more space in the cabin.
