What is the best Lanzarote supermarket to get a big shop and your essentials when on holiday?

- I thought I would take you on my big shop and show you all the Lanzarote supermarkets on the island where you can get all of your holiday essentials and that are ideal when self-catering.
We start with the best supermaket in Lanzarote for those coming from UK and Ireland and anywhere else in the world and that is the Overseas Supermarket which has stores in Playa Honda, Playa Blanca and Puerto Del Carmen and stock everything you need for your holiday and most importantly those things that you can only get back home which they specialise in. I also visited all of the major Canary Island supermarkets in Lanzarote including, Lanzarote Spar, Lanzarote Mercadonna, Lanzarote Lidl and the famous Hiper Dino Supermarket in Lanzarote.

You'd better add a caption to say that the Overseas in PDC has closed, only 2 left in Lanza now 🥲 There is a Mercadona now in Puerto del Carmen opposite the Fariones hotel that opened on the 4th of August 2022 ☺ Yeh Lidl and Aldi are on par in the UK just as much as they are on par in Spain, an Aldi is due to open on Lanarote in 2023 in Arrecife near the old concrete works 😁

The mercadona in PDC IS FAB really good fruit veg cheap wines and beers still prefer the Lidl but last time found the spar to be super expensive

How about showing Ropers in Playa Honda where you can get FRESH meats & fish and not all the frozen rubbish you get in Icelands.
Rogers is a commercial as the rest these days

Thanks for an importent video Sir! It's a new and very big Mercadona on the beach walk close to the harbor in Puerto del carmen! Lots of fresh fish and seashells, meat etc and cheap! 2 weeks ago we paid 5.25€/kg for the chokoS, 7.97€/kg for gambas & 11.95€/kg for entrecote! One liter Lanzarote Rum 6.25€ with 40% alkohol! 10 small breaks1.10€! BesT REGARDS Peter Eriksson Sweden Europe 😊😊😊!

Yeah try Mercadonna I prefer that one better selection and good packed meat but Hipo is a good one too

I was in Puerto del Carmen 2 weeks ago and found the supermarkets very expensive compared to the ones in Tenerife
Really they are all the same brands I wonder if theres a difference in proces

Lidle is top of the old town and the Mercadonna is in the new soco shopping center

Where has the best range of free from as in wheat, gluten and lactose as I have been diagnosed with Crohn’s
Most places now show menus with symbols so you will be fine they all pretty much cater
For supermarkets Lidl has a good range and Hiper Dino a full area

Lidle has more of a specialist range and also the big Hiper Dino has loads of gluten and lactos free stuff

Hi I absolutely love watching your videos can't wait to be there I'm stopping at cassa de los suenos on c.salinas in purto del carmen, I don't know how long it takes to get to the old town or the strip but hope it's not far but my main question is my dad can't live without British bacon and sausage definelty the day after a few to many beers so where is the best place for these products thanks

😂 going to Lanzarote to buy British food🤮 NO thanks. Good video and good information, specially about Lilds, is great to know they have lots of vegan foods because many of us for ethical reasons don't eat, wear or use murdered animals or the secretions and ovulations of living ones. I've been to slaughterhouses and seen for myself how they cry and beg for their lives. It's heartbreaking what's done to them for no other reason than a bad habit.
Its overpriced anyway ha ha stick to the Spanish ones much bettwr
Although overpriced, it isn't just for the odd treat, for the local expats, it's things like gravy granules and other certain thing that the Spanish/locals don't use and shops don't stock that we find nearly essential, to be handy, especially when in Spar, a small Bisto gravy granule tub is €6.50!!!
