Not quite what I'm looking for. While I am playing music, I do not want this on the lock screen. The problem I have is it tends to get bumped in my pocket and this creates random unexpected results.
Did you get an answer? I have this problem too. Especially when I'm cutting the grass with my phone in my pocket. It's really annoying.

I don’t want a music player on my Lock Screen period, even when I’m listening to music. Some privacy would be nice instead of putting a giant album art on my phone for everyone to see.

How do I get that lock screen to go away permanently? I want my lockscreen background to show, not spotify. Before it was just a 'notification' of spotify but now it's the whole damn screen.

@@miraz14 I found if you tap the image of the album it will go back to just the little player at the bottom of the lock screen. I wish it was on the top again but alas.

apparently, you don't realize all of the issues. On my android, when I close it out , ( a podcast) and then I close and open my phone, the widget with the last podcast that I was listening to is still running.

I finally got mine to turn off in the pandora app. Go to settings. Advanced. Turn the auto lock to save battery off.
Unfortunately none of those worked for me BUT when I came to watch this video it changed my “now playing”
to you tube which doesn’t pop up on my Lock Screen. So even though you didn’t fix it you fixed it! Lol. I will just do this from now. I hate this feature soooo much. I want to see my wallpaper. Not the music app (which I haven’t listened to since way earlier today).

Useless. Show us to remove the widget with it still playing. Music constantly turns off every time I lock screen shows up.

None of these things worked for me. I have been battling this for a long time. There are no applications running but it the iPhone Music app opens all the time and is set to a song. It's not playing, but it's open in my lock screen. Again, no applications are running and my software is updated.

removed all apps from run state. still see my HomePod on lock screen streaming....This will only work in you have music playing from your phone. HomePod streams on its own. I looked at FaceID settings and Live Events disablement as well as widgets. but looks like on 16.3 this has no effect. still see HomePod.
Actually just fixed this. In Face ID disable live events. In notification for muic - disable Time Sensitive Notifications, switch alerts to Banners, disable Sounds and Badges. works now if music plays it will show up in dynamic island and on lock screen, but if you remove music from running apps - it will cleanup both from dynamic island and lock screen. this works with my HomePod mini w/o issues. music plays but nothing shows on the lock screen unless I ask for it to show from MyHome App - HomePod - accessory details.
My phone is up to date. None of these steps worked.
