    Lift looks good. I’m in the DFW area also and looking for a good shop to install a lift. Did you buy the lift and take it to them or did they order and install for you? Also which shop did you go to? Thanks.

      He's most likely in the same boat as me, I OWN the 2WD and to buy a new 4x4 is $40k plus so why not just add $3k of lift and tires and have an awesome looking PAID FOR ride. 2WD or 4WD nobody can tell driving down the road which is 99% of either ones life. Awesome look, BTW! I think you sold me on this lift

      @@Superwoody24 Yeah that makes sense. I have actually been kind of impressed with the performance from the V6 that I have been hearing from here on this channel and others I found, so def not knocking you there. I just couldn't bring myself to buy a 2WD truck, I just like the capability of 4WD. I do think it is kind of ridiculous the extent of the anti V6 and anti 2WD hate there is on the internet and youtube

      @luker6766 2 года назад

      @Adam Lea you can buy .25 inch spacers and use the original lugs but I agree spacers are bad I’m gonna buy some 1/2 inch ones again not too thick so I can use my original lugs and the reason you need them on some trucks is because if they have IFS the front tires get sucked in under the truck

    I have a 6inch RC lift on my 1500 and I was able to go with 37s with 22inch wheels. The wheels are 22x10-18. Miner trimming but no rubbing. So I agree with you 37s look better.

      Why do people put a lift on a 4 wheel drive that never leaves the pavement? Cause they like it.

    • @craigkerr9281
      @craigkerr9281 3 года назад

      You probably have a pavement Queen making a statement like this. If he or I want to put a lift on Mark 2-wheel drive v6 without puke like you making a stupid statement.

      @@craigkerr9281 i asked a simple question. most people i know that lift trucks. be it a suspension or body lift have a reason. what is your reason? i ido not own a 4wd truck. so if i put a lift on it and someone asks why i did it i would like to have an answer. you see sarcasm in my question because you feel sarcasm when you read my comment. you prolly scrolled through comments looking for something that can be considered sarcasm. i am psychotic and as a result i am heavily medicated. my emotions are numb. i understand why people level their trucks. i see it everywhere. lifts are less common so i ask, why do it on a v6. because i do not understand. is it for the appearance, will you upbadge and pretend to have something you really dont. (or i will rephrase, that vehicle is not what it seems) people may upbadge an sxt into a hellcat but really own a hellcat and when their friends think their real hellcat is just another upbadged sxt and get smoked on the 1/4 mile.

      @@UNKNOWN-le2tu There tend to be 2 reasons people have. The first reason is aesthetics. Some people like the look. Many who do it for looks get offended when asked why they would lift it. Who am I to judge? Some people lower trucks. That is not my cup of tea. The second reason is function. I have a 2014 2wd 1500 v8 that I recently purchased (The price was right). I personally see more reason to lift a 2wd than a 4wd. The 4wd truck has a factory higher stance. This allows you not to high center on bad dirt roads. I have a place that I travel frequently that has a large mound of dirt down the road to serve as a water break/transfer(kind of like a giant speed bump. With a lift and larger tires, I won't drag the undercarriage of my truck across this large "speed bump". In a 4wd or 2wd truck, there is no need for 4wd to traverse this road but there is a need for ground clearance. Having larger tires on the 2wd truck can give you more grip with the traction so that you don't get stuck. With the 4wd I could keep street tires on it and still get unstuck in minor mud. It changes your angle of approach and your drop of height. In the city down the street from my house, there is a dip where two streets cross. When I am pulling a trailer I can drag the trailer jack even with it all the way up. The street is all scraped up from people doing this in the dip. So having a higher truck could help with that as well. Hope that answers your questions from a logical nonemotional point of view.
