    I recently refurbished a Kyoritsu K1420 VTVM that had a PL style Coax connector for attaching a probe. I replaced it with a BNC socket and was able to use a normal oscilloscope probe. Might be worth a try instead of that kit probe.
    I found the VTVM in a junk shop. The extraordinary thing is it was the very meter I had on the bench I used in trade school back in the late 60's. It even had the faded texta school bench number on the bottom of the dial face and equipment number etched on the casing.

      @@midgoog2 I never thought of using an oscilloscope probe for a vtvm but I guess if you use it on x 1 and not x 10, you'd be OK. In this Heathkit though, the probe must have a 1 meg resistor in series with it or the readings will be off.
