Diagnosing and Repairing faults or defects in transistor radios, without special test equipment

  • Normally, to find faults in a defective radio, you would check for functions with a RF and LF signal generator and an oscilloscope.
    However, not everyone has these things. In this video i show how you can still test individual circuit parts by using a second radio.
    Only do this with battery operated equipment! Do not poke your fleshy bits into mains powered radios!
    Radios in the picture are an Albanian URT Iliria from Durres, and a Sanyo RP1270.
    Please excuse my crappy english in this video! I didn't sleep well the night before making it, and processing english while also making an unscripted video in one take made my brain turn into mush. I swear i can speak more normal english!
