You cant deny nyjahs skills. Nyjahs first run was better then soras whole run if you take out the hardflip board. Nyjah just skates with so much potential.

Ullr The Hunter the announcer said it himself, tony hawks 90 went after the buzzer. With the quality of that run at the very least he deserved podium. I think the whole thing should’ve gone to Shirai tho. I guess Yuto had a lot of Nollie tricks tho so that’s probably what won it for him.
I read that literally right after I watched waiting on the score. That ruined my day. He got robbed

For anyone who knows anything about skateboarding, these were clearly the top three, and in this order (although a 90 for Soro would've even been too low imo). I hope the judges realised they'd messed up with Soro's score, which might account for the fact that Jagger was underscored, knowing that Soro deserved a medal at the very least.
You are exactly correct
I agree that Sora should've gotten a 90, but my guess is that they didn't count Jagger's final trick for it being after the buzzer. That would explain his score.

Sora should’ve got 1st with that run. They play favorites with Nyjah.
Sora does a fire run 87. Nyjah does same normal mundane run, 88. If nyjah just at there and scratched his nose on the third run they'd have given him a 90.

We are looking at what the other pro's are doing in the same realm as Nyjah. Ii have watched nyjah since he was a little kid with dreadlocks. Calling people 'fool' that's adorable. Sora's run was absolutely better but they just worship anything Nyjah does. Nyjah does basically the same things every comp, no real risk on his runs. Just the same thing. Jaggers last run was clean af and he hit everywhere on the course and they gave him an awful score where if it was Nyjah that did that run they'd have given it a 9.

during qualifying sora did the exact same run with a 180 switch crook at the end instead of a hardflip front board and he got a 92 , how tf does he get a 87 for that the day after, hardflip front board should be worth more in judges eyes

Looks like i'm not alone in thinking that Sora's run was deserving of a 90+, Yuto's run was great but everything about Sora's run felt like it was one step higher.

A - Both Jagger and Sora got robbed. Like gunpoint, give me all your money kind of robbed. Who is even judging these?
B - The camera dudes were in the way at every corner. Daisuke even hit one on that bigflip over the gap. Didn't even count as an interference.
C - What happened to the 2 run + 5 trick format? Leagues better than the 3 run format here. Between this and the crazy "overall impression" silliness in the vert & park sessions I am legit wondering who is even making decisions around this stuff. So lame. No wonder Street League is taking over. I say that as a dude who has been an xgames fan for 20 years. This is disappointing.

Xgames does a separate best trick contest instead of combining the 2. I think it’s a cool format, allowing for 2 different winners for 2 different types of skating.
I like Nyjah but daamn, he did not deserve 2nd. He didn't even attempt anything groundbreaking. Not even his trademark nolie heelflip nose blunt down the rail. Both Yuto and Shirai threw down straight bangers during their runs. Should had been 1.Yuto 2. Shirai 3. Either Jagger or Nyjah

X Games, you need to make a rule to prevent the buzzer from going off in the middle of somebody's trick... we get it, the timer is out, but wait until the end of their trick to beep it. That way, people don't fall and die from the distraction.

Yall just hate for no reason haha Id like to see you do a better job and call out every single trick thats gets done and have the insider knowledge plus knowing most of these pros strengths and weaknesses. just hate because its him co-announcing and not yall. haha so sad.
Kyle Evans yeah I agree. He had to grow on me and I find him hilarious now but he does know what he’s talking about especially when I was first starting out and couldn’t name half the tricks I was seeing.

Disagree. Luan does his tricks very, very well but the difficulty just isn't there. Kickflip fakie on the bank, nollie flip to fakie over the hip etc just aren't hard nor scary tricks in the least even if he does them superhumanly well. Not a chance he deserves it more than guys doing hardflip front boards down legit rails etc.
