  • On Italy's Amalfi Coast, you can hike "The Path of the Gods", a hiking trail leading from Bomerano to Nocelle and ultimately the iconic Positano. This Italy 2022 travel vlog started from Sorrento, and we used public transportation to get to the starting town of Bomerano. The hike is about 9km long and had stunning views of the ocean, terraces, old buildings, Praiano, and the Amalfi Coast. This was easily one of my favorite hikes I ever did, and the perfect way to arrive in the magical town of Positano.

    Hey! I’ve watched your italy videos and absolutely love the content :) I wanted to ask if you could provide the bus routes and stuff you took from sorrento to bomerano, and then from positano back to sorrento? I’m planning on doing the hike and am not really sure how to get there!

    • @WanderlustWellman
      @WanderlustWellman  2 года назад +2

      Hi, I’m so glad that you have been enjoying the content! From Sorrento Station we took a bus to “Castellamarre do Stabia”. We then transferred and took a bus to Bomerano, and hiked to Nocelle and then walked to Positano. from Positano, there’s a bus that goes to Sorrento. I try to include the routes I used in my videos by showing a Google Maps screenshot, so that may be helpful to look for as well! Have a great time hiking this beautiful part of Italy 🇮🇹 👍

    • @WanderlustWellman

      I think it took us probably 3 to 4 hours, but that included at least one 15 minute break to sit down and eat, while taking many mini breaks to take in the views along the way. I would recommend that you start early, because people say it gets very hot and pretty busy during the summer in the middle of the day

      From Nocelle, we walked down to Positano and then took the public bus back to Sorrento. You can also take a bus to Praiano, but the bus ride is still very likely to cause motion sickness. If you take a bus to Praiano, you will have to climb 1,900 stairs to get to the Path of the Gods.

      @@japoc The only day (04/08/23) that we could hike Path of Gods, a thunderstorm rolled. It was a huge disappointment to alter our plans. Instead, my friend and I did an urban hike in Sorrento where we were staying (Villa Romana- Punta Puolo 5 miles). We strolled through lemon pathways to a secluded beach cove. Beautiful! If you plan Path of Gods and to start from Praiano, expect a tushie workout (1000+ steps). From our Amalfi bus tour, there are no road leading to the top homes. Locals park miles away (very limited parking) along the coast and climb those steep short steps. There are reviews on AllTrails to reference.
