    I have to tell you how much I am enjoying your blog and channel. We became WFPB ("Esselstyn approved" meaning no oil, soy, nuts, dairy, meat) nearly 3 1/2 yrs ago. My husband had what is known as a widowmaker heart attack and was given a 15% chance of making it out alive. After stents, I went on a hard search for real lifestyle changes to our diet. Dr Esselstyn is hardcore WFPB and I'm finding more and more of your recipes fit his recommendations perfectly! My husband is now off all medications and has been given clean reports from his cardiologists so the WFPB lifestyle works for sure! Thanks so much for sharing. I'm a true fan!

    I tried this with slight modification... because I could not wait and soak the oats. I used dry oats and blended till they turned to flour, added the frozen banana , vanilla and a scant 1/4 cup cold water. Very thick and delicious!!!

    and maybe even more creamy soaking the oats in non-dairy milk instead of water.

    I've made this now like 6 times! I've started to blend everything except the ice and bananas first and also, last night, added a spoonful of peanut butter to two servings of this and shared it with my partner and we both could not believe how divine this recipe is! We also tried it with strawberries and blueberries! sooo divine! Gonna make your meatballs next!

    Wow! This is simple (even this engineer can make this one!) and very, very tasty! I did the chocolate one tonight, added some peanut butter - all I can say is that the wife and I really enjoyed these - no refined sugar and the oats make this so creamy. Home run!!

    Having been WFPB since ‘09, the honest truth is how labor intensive it can be. When you’re tired from working and know you’re going to have to cook everything from scratch for dinner (even though a lot of prep has been done in advance) it sometimes isn’t sustainable. With a lot of gardening starting, summer is a time I actually don’t have the energy to cook. These Frosty’s are such a tease! Looks and tastes great, but the pre soak for 1-2 hours is a bummer. Great recipes and grateful for folks like you sharing. Just a long day today and if someone else could cook for me during the growing season, that would be heaven sent! just saying. 💓

    • @kasseesmythe8738
      @kasseesmythe8738 4 года назад

      The pre-soak for1-2 hours is a bummer? Aww. With a little planning, you could take out some of the pain. For example, you know before you start to work that you're going to be hungry when you finish, so put the oats on to soak before you start gardening! I used to grumble about the extra labor involved in WPFB cooking, but I've found that a bit more planning can eliminate some of it.

    Awesome!!! OMG, this is a game changer. Hey, for those of you who are like me and feel weird after eating chocolate, try raw or toasted carob powder instead. It's got its own amazing flavor similar to but different from chocolate. And much healthier for you than chocolate. It's kinda sweet naturally so you might be able to use one fewer date, type of thing. Thanks for all you do for us, Brittany!
