I appreciate your channel because you seem to do it because you want to, not because you have to. As a viewer, I'm burned out from sponsorships jammed into every video. I can't take constantly being nagged about products that I wonder if the Booktuber even uses. Anyway, thanks. Glad it's good things keeping you busy and not any personal crisis.
Here I was thinking the algorithm just wasn’t showing me your videos. Also, I like and respect you saying you were away and keeping details to yourself. We should normalize that when it’s a person’s preference. I read “an immense world” based on your recommendation and really enjoyed it, thank you. One of my reading goals was 12 nonfiction books this year or even, but most likely not, 25% nonfiction. I’ve already read 12 and am able to keep the percentage over 25%! Fingers crossed for the rest of the year. I appreciate your recommendations because I don’t like self help but I do like science. I’m glad you’re back and I hope things settle down in a nice way for you.
Good for you for recognizing that you needed a break an giving yourself the time and space you need. Booktube will always be here when you're ready again. Here In The Dark was a so-so book for me. I didn't mind her as an unlikeable character, but I found the actual plot really implausible. I agree that the audio was really well done though. OMG The Mind Of The Bee sounds like something I would love. Adding it to the TBR. Hidden Potential & Grit have both been added as well. Wishing you a summer of balanced reading and other priorities. :)
I appreciate all your hardwork on this channel, so impressed with the quality and variety. I stumbled upon Infused several years ago and really enjoyed. Thanks for spreading the word.
Glad to see you, and glad you’re taking time for yourself as needed. Your outfit is beautiful 💜. I think I’m the only person on the planet who has yet to read Emily Henry. One of these days I’ll change that, probably with book lovers. Infused sounds like a book I will like, even though I’m a coffeeholic 😊 I just love this kind of writing. You were my May “read like a favorite booktuber” pick and along with Rules of Civility (a reread) and Amor Towles’ latest book, I read The Boys of Summer. It was a book about the Brooklyn Dodgers written by Roger Kahn, who was a journalist covering them for the 1952 and 1953 seasons. I loved it! I’m not a baseball person myself, but my late husband loved the Dodgers as a little boy before they moved. I had bought this book intending to read it for him because he would have loved it too I’m sure. But I can see this being a summer reread for me in years to come. I’ve had it on my tbr shelves for years, but when I picked your name, I thought this was an Olive book❤️.
Thanks for talking about what it’s like to work and practice! It’s such a realistic part of life not many people talk about openly. Looking forward to any videos you want to share :)
“Me time” is so important. I’ve realized that as I’ve aged. I never took time for myself and I find it very difficult to start that now. If anyone has tips for me on how to really relax and breathe on a budget, preferably free, I’m open to any and all ideas. Thank you and happy Sunday all!
Welcome back :) happy to hear you took a break on your terms. Funny Story was such a corker - after reading EH on your recommendation, I'm very happy to see Funny Story on this list! The age of magical thinking sounds brilliant also.
I too enjoyed Funny Story! It was so refreshing to read a romcom without the miscommunication trope. And Infused sounds like my kind of book, can’t wait to read that one.
Hey Olive! Love your channel, my favorite book related influencer. Take all the time you need, reading should be joy and not stressful especially with creating content around it! Enjoy your summer!
I really appreciate you saying how much you have had to practice and work at your book tube content because I am guilty of thinking you’re just naturally great at this and you just sat down at your camera one day and started recording.
As a tea lover, I'm so excited to add "Infused" to my TBR! Thanks so much for sharing that book and all the books you mentioned. Wishing you well as you assemble your summer TBR :)
I cant express how much i love this channel in recent times❤ I wish i could have atleast half of Olive's abilities to take Indian(especially Tamil) booktube more into Non fiction books... Ill try!
Excellent video with excellent suggestions! I am having to retrain myself at public speaking and speaking to a camera (it can be a weird experience at first!) because I was no longer in practice when I came back to YT after a lengthy break. I did not have the benefit of live public speaking and teaching during my last “break” and I feel that it definitely shows. All that to say that you are so right! It does require determination, practice, and work for many of us. Glad to see you back Olive!
Wow some great recommendations. I have dithered about adding Infused to my TBR but will now. Also, I agree with the concepts mentioned in Hidden Potential and Grit. I try to teach this to students I make contact with. These are totally going onto my next to buy list when it comes up next!
It's totally fine that you took time for yourself. We all need that sometimes. I understand what you're saying about it not being natural to present well. I have a new channel and I keep talking with a flat voice and facial expression. It's hard to seem animated even when I feel interested in my subject. I don't know how to do better.
Great to see you again Olive. Your non-fiction book recs. are my favourite on You Tube. Thanks for all the effort you put into bringing us your wonderful channel.
Oh, I have to find the book Infused! I love loose tea and will love reading about her experiences! Thank you for bringing up this niche area of nonfiction! 13:37
Glad you took a break and good luck with summer reading! It’s interesting because I have been hearing from a lot of people that May was a month where reading plans went off the rails, and that was my experience, too.
I love your channel and I’m happy to see a new video. It will be sad when you’re not going to be doing Non Fiction November in your channel but I completely 100% understand why. Also I just put on hold at my library for Infused for audiobook cause I am a massive tea lover and it sounds awesome!
Good to see you! 👋 It did dawn on me… “oh yeah, this is when Olive takes a break!” The Bee book sounds interesting. Enjoy your Rules of Civility reread! 🥂
Glad you were able to take a well deserved break and are able to have some nice time in the garden. The tea book sounds really interesting, may have to recommend it to my cousin and a friend who like tea. Hope you have a good reading month in June!
I was wondering where you were. “Me time” is one of most important lessons someone can learn. You have learned that lesson. Your reviews are always exceptional. Thank you. Carol from California
Nice to see you again Olive, and so glad your absence was for mainly good things. I'm thinking of you as I currently read "Losing Eden: why our minds need the wild" by Lucy Jones. It's giving me a lot to think about and feels like something you might like too.
Welcome back, never feel you have to apologize for taking time for yourself, we enjoy what gems you share with us, but it’s best on the terms that works with your life and mental health. The tea books sounds interesting, I highly recommend All the Tea in China about the early history of the West and East connection. Central is one of the first cases of corporate espionage of the British East India company stealing the information of growing, harvesting and processing tea from China and establishing the processes in India to be able to control all aspects of the tea economy. It’s fascinating!
You look after yourself Olive. We appreciate you too much for you to exhaust yourself trying to please us. Love your videos and your recommendations. I’ve been gardening myself today. Now knackered. 🍀👋☘️📖📕📚☕️🤗🇮🇪💐
Just curious, has anyone advised you that Amor Towles has become aware of not only your dedication to re-reading “The Rules if Civility” but also your encouragement for others to give it a try. (Good to see a new video from you.)
'The Age of Magical Overthinking' should have been a series of magazine articles. So current it will quickly lack relevance. Hopefully the over-sharing helps someone though.
You could always fast forward through the sponsorship. It’s great that RUclips is free. But it’s also great that people are making a living.

Ooh I was just looking at when you last uploaded! Looking forward to watching.
😅 me too!

Olive is hands down the best. I have read so many books based on her recommendations and enthusiasm.
Ok added Here In The Dark to my audiobook library! And narrated by Laura Benanti! 😃 I'm definitely going to listen to that this month.
I too enjoyed Funny Story! It was so refreshing to read a romcom without the miscommunication trope. And Infused sounds like my kind of book, can’t wait to read that one.

What a treat! You're back !
Glad to see you back!
I really appreciate you saying how much you have had to practice and work at your book tube content because I am guilty of thinking you’re just naturally great at this and you just sat down at your camera one day and started recording.
I was considering giving up on Emily Henry but you are the third person to make me want to give Funny Story a try. 😊💙
I attempted to read Happy Place and Beach Read. Both were DNF for me. I don't get the Emily Henry hype.
I'm adding many of the books mentioned to my TBR! Infused sounds exactly like my cup of tea, pun intended.
Thanks for reiterating that talent isn't everything; you have to work your butt off! You look good.
I am now intrigued by Hidden Potential and Grit
I have been wondering about The Age of Magical Overthinking. Thanks for the review!
As a tea lover, I'm so excited to add "Infused" to my TBR! Thanks so much for sharing that book and all the books you mentioned. Wishing you well as you assemble your summer TBR :)
Yay!! Glad to have you back! 💛

Great to see you again Olive. Your non-fiction book recs. are my favourite on You Tube. Thanks for all the effort you put into bringing us your wonderful channel.
As a tea drinker I am interested in reading Infused. Always good to hear your recommendations.
Oh, I have to find the book Infused! I love loose tea and will love reading about her experiences! Thank you for bringing up this niche area of nonfiction! 13:37
Will definitely check out Infused. Sounds amazing! Also an advocate for loose leaf tea
Glad you took a break and good luck with summer reading! It’s interesting because I have been hearing from a lot of people that May was a month where reading plans went off the rails, and that was my experience, too.

Good to see you! 👋 It did dawn on me… “oh yeah, this is when Olive takes a break!” The Bee book sounds interesting. Enjoy your Rules of Civility reread! 🥂
Hidden Potential by Adam Grant is a book I look forward to this year and its okay to take breaks sometimes. Great content btw!
Glad you were able to take a well deserved break and are able to have some nice time in the garden. The tea book sounds really interesting, may have to recommend it to my cousin and a friend who like tea. Hope you have a good reading month in June!
I know a reading slump when I see one. I have been in a slump for quite some time now. Welcome back and I look forward to your new books.
I was wondering where you were. “Me time” is one of most important lessons someone can learn. You have learned that lesson. Your reviews are always exceptional. Thank you. Carol from California

Olive I love your channel and I love seeing your videos pop on my FYP. Thank you for putting so much effeort to give us these great contenets.
Happy you’re back and even happier that you take care of yourself!
I just started, Our Last Season, on audio. I'm enjoying it and appreciate you speaking about it.

Ooh, throwing in a quote from Fiona Apple in there... Nicely done! 😀
It's nice to have you back!
Thank you for the recs , glad to have come across your channel ❤🎉
16.22 books are now part of my TBR
Thank you Olive!
your uniquely expressive and well-spoken!! lmao!! Almost a heaven sent. btw, the tea story one got me!!

You look after yourself Olive. We appreciate you too much for you to exhaust yourself trying to please us. Love your videos and your recommendations.
I’ve been gardening myself today. Now knackered.
🍀👋☘️📖📕📚☕️🤗🇮🇪💐
10:20 I love my Coffee but I would for sure read- Infused Adventures In Tea
It's a very good read!
Just curious, has anyone advised you that Amor Towles has become aware of not only your dedication to re-reading “The Rules if Civility” but also your encouragement for others to give it a try.
(Good to see a new video from you.)
Right on! Thanks for all the great lit programming 👍🏾💜
So glad to see you back, love your insight!
Wonderful as always! Happy you are back 😊
'The Age of Magical Overthinking' should have been a series of magazine articles. So current it will quickly lack relevance. Hopefully the over-sharing helps someone though.
I love your blouse. It’s gorgeous.
Pretty blouse, pretty colors!
Good for you for taking care of yourself.
I loved Funny Story by Emily Henry.
Sounds like you are on a self care journey. Good for you. Have a fun adventure 19:04
Angela Duckworth….. specifically, every teacher needs to read her book
I SOOO needed this 😇😇😇
She’s back! ❤
El mejor libro de todos los tiempos, la Biblia
Listen to yourself and always choose what’s good for you
Dude. Vanderpump rules for sure. Oh my god with the scam-doval
You are very sensible. Welcome back!
Olive, you look adorable! Love your hair. It looks really good on you.
❤❤❤
👏👏👏👏😊
Great review of Moneyball, Olive.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey, I'll never judge somebody for taking a break from content creation. Im usually a month late to watch because I'm busy 😂
