I was a little worried about installing the blade after reading a couple of reviews. But it was amazingly easy. Took about 1 minute. Works great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxjpBI8OOeUXib_iT7UomCrQ-uauwZJ62c . Cuts easily and is perfect for pocket cuts I needed to make for replacing some old deck boards.
For me, the ideas in ruclips.net/user/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
I have had one of these for a top handle saw for about 6 years. I cut down a giant poplar tree, ripped it into manageable pieces freehand with my chainsaw, then used this with a jig to make 16 7x7 and 8x8 by eight foot beams. The saw is actually great for the crosscuts, but the saw tended to overheat while making the long rip cuts. Eventually it led to the saw burning out from the ripping process; so you want to watch how hot your saw is getting when you make long ripcuts. Oh, the jig I used was a plate attached to the bottom of the saw that rode on a straight and square 2x6, like an overgrown tracksaw. It did fairly well, but would occasionally tip and give you an angled cut.
That Prazi is a slick adjunct to the common circular saw. I used mine for cutting half dovetails for timber frame structure. You can with care saw close enough to be within slick and hand plane range. If the mortice is large enough you can remove the splitter and stab to depth of even through. A couple 2 x 4s clamped on for guides and you can plane renown withe the belly of the blade as your use a manual router plane. Really a handy tool in its niche. It's kinda power hungry. I can't see it making too many cuts on a battery saw per charge but nice for a trim up on the staging or out in the boonedocks.
Used one of these recently and its my new favorite thing.... was a little intimidating at first but quickly found out its very easy to use... gang sawing made easy
Really enjoying your channel. Would love to see a shop and trailer tour. Always seem to pick up some great ideas to apply to my shop. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the demonstration. I have been thinking about getting one of these saws for a timber frame barn I’m starting this year. I think I’ll go ahead and make the purchase. Thanks again and I love your videos, 👍🇺🇸
Three is not smart, blade can do it, but can your motor from the saw pool that enought power and strainght, and not burn over? Great videos. Love the channel.
I notice that is a left handed circular saw. Most have the blade to the right of the motor when you look down over it while standing behind the tool. So, this Prazi is for a left handed circular saw??
allways wondered about this setup I do retaining walls especially 6x6 ones and wanted to buy both the dewalt flexvolt circular saw and the prazi. what prazi would that be as far as product number, model?
You mentioned the Makita battery saw, have you used one of these beam cutters on one? And being essentially a chainsaw, what do you do to keep the chain lubricated?
👍 this would be great for cutting pole tops off on the end walls! Just lay the deck of the saw right up against the side of the truss so you have a nice solid service to push against, and run saw with the pitch of the roof as you cut each pole top off. Way faster than using a sawzall and the advantage of having the deck and a solid chain saw bar helps you stay straight and flush with top of the truss. giving you a very nice clean cut. Yeah the sawzall works but the blade is so thin that it tends to really bend a lot under pressure and you wind up with a really ugly looking cut. Not to mention the hassle of packing and pulling the sawzall and cord around with ya while you go up and over a truss. And if your on a 48’ wide or bigger then you better take plenty of sawzall blades with you! 😂 them laminated columns are tough on them blades boy! You could cut threw columns with ease all day long with one of these tho!!! and only problem you’d run into is swapping out the battery’s!
If you're talking about the blade guard clip he was removing with a screwdriver, it wasn't a circlip. Have a close look at 2:42. It's basically what he called it - a spiral snap ring. Circlip pliers would not help one ounce.
There is one thing about this tool I don't understand. For the price of a prazi I could also buy a de watt or makita 36V battery powered chainsaw. What is the advantage of this tool?
Square cuts. Could see that in the demonstration video. Square cuts are a necessity in construction. Try making a square cut with a chainsaw that turned out as nicely as he did with this Prazi, especially if you're out on a job site in the middle of nowhere.
That is true, but there are also guides for chainsaws. I am just curious because I never saw this type of saw in use on construction sites. Most of time I see a electric chainsaw (cord) with or without a guide attached to the blade.
Good point. It the fact that it is comfortable and easy to make good quality cuts is key. I know what you are saying.... but if you are a tool guy.... more is more right
Thanks for the reply, my first thoughts where that such a "Frankenstein" saw can't be better than a chainsaw and you got a worse product for a higher price, but looks like you got a better product for a higher price. Fair choice.
that is cool, and unlike a chain saw, it has a shoe, and with a track you could get some precise shit boy, i need that , ( i live in philly, but i'll find a need)
Step 1. Locate the blade changing tool...well, you already lost me there. Everyone knows those blasted things show up from their wormhole only when you don't need them. Preferably to fall on your head from a top shelf. Jokes aside, neat tool, i was unaware that there was such an option for a saw. This opens up a lot of avenues.
A good trick about these kinds of things (attachments) that require you to remove the adapters and set them aside is to have a nut/bolt for spare. On my grinder for example, i keep the adapter and driver plate on a bolt with the blade. Impossible to lose them that way.
Nice tool on first view but the price is a little bit high. For 300 bugs you get on Amazon this DEWALT DCCS670X1 FLEXVOLT 60V MAX Brushless Chainsaw, 3.0AH battery.
this is the same price and u get more options from this saw. and its a better saw then the cordless chainsaws. a 3 ah flex volt battery is also a 9.0 same that comes with this saw. for chainsaws ur much better off buying a gas one. can get a good gas one for that price too

Love your shop. It would be great to have a tour of your toys.
peggyt1243 i agree. Reminds me of Ron Paulk's a little with the RV and the wide open space.
Jeremy Specce except paulk just borrows someone's space.
Used one of these recently and its my new favorite thing.... was a little intimidating at first but quickly found out its very easy to use... gang sawing made easy
I don't need that at all, but I do want it.
Really enjoying your channel. Would love to see a shop and trailer tour. Always seem to pick up some great ideas to apply to my shop. Keep up the great work.
I used this. Bhot tools daily. For cutting timbler beam reclaimed wood awesome tool 12” makita beam saw corbels saw 220 volt
Great 👍🏻
Was impressed how smoothly it cut.
Thanks for the demonstration. I have been thinking about getting one of these saws for a timber frame barn I’m starting this year. I think I’ll go ahead and make the purchase. Thanks again and I love your videos, 👍🇺🇸
You have a fortune in cordless tools. I'm so jealous.
Nice clean cut. Perfect for timber framing with large dimensional timber.
would a screw in the wood destroy the blade teeth? or do they have special teeth that can take a screw impact?
Handy fixture to have in your line of work I would imagine. Thanks for the video.
Doesn't the tightening bolt tighten the same direction as the chain moves, loosening it?
Thanks men for all your videos it helps a lot
This is outstanding. Wish I knew about this when I built my timber retaining wall in the backyard.
Awesome channel and shop. It would be great if you could give us a shop tour.
Anyone know if this would fit on a Milwaukee 190mm circular saw, the blade is on the same side as this one so the chain will spin the right way.
Three is not smart, blade can do it, but can your motor from the saw pool that enought power and strainght, and not burn over?

Is there any option with the oil. Every Chainsaw needs oil. It looks nice but without oil it wont last long.
How much force does it place on the saw base plate, seems like all the torque has to be held in by it?
You have the coolest toys!
Can this be use to safely cut up a tree? How do you prevent kick back with one hand operation?
Thanks for the video.
Looks like a good start for a chainsaw bayonet. Thanks USA Today.
What is the best saw makita or dewalt to the 18 inch prazi
I love the tiny camper you have in the back...
Say hello to my little friend. Sweet tool.
How does this do for rip cuts? (I buy 8x8 oak and sometimes have to take an inch or so off one plane...)
allways wondered about this setup I do retaining walls especially 6x6 ones and wanted to buy both the dewalt flexvolt circular saw and the prazi. what prazi would that be as far as product number, model?
Holy chimichangas, that just went like a hot knife in butter!!!
Thanks for sharing your experiences great content
Is there an oil lubrication system for the chain?
Nice saw attachment but Thinking of Kickback happen so scary
You mentioned the Makita battery saw, have you used one of these beam cutters on one?
And being essentially a chainsaw, what do you do to keep the chain lubricated?
How do you keep the spring clip from rotating while you try to pry it out?
Will this work on the DCS578 style?
Frist thing to do to protect all the dunder heads out the is take out the damn battery .Happy trails .
DUH, NOBODY TOLD ME I HAD TO DO THAT. LETS SUE SOMEBODY. HA
Duh I unplugged it duh
that is a pretty amazing upgrade to a skill saw
Pretty cool tool. I need to buy me a new chain saw...

That circular clip is called a circlip - the correct tool is a circlip outside plier ( you can also get inside ones)

Is the microphone broken? The right channel sound is little bit weird.
Dang. Looks pretty accurate.
That thing is awesome. But where do you mount the pull cord.jk
How long does the battery last?
What if you just held the nut and bumped the saw to get it off
A RØDE mic or a Saramonic mic on your wish list for your next birthday? Would do wonders for the sound quality in your videos... ☺
i have one. doesnt help echo in shop
echo sounds non existent
Do you manually oil the chain, as you are cutting?
Ron Briz I think without the Oiler you never push it through. I made several cuts and never got too hor
Is it a rip or cross cut chain?
Blunt, it should be making chips not dust.
That's cool, just watch out for kick back man!

Where does the bar oil go? Should still need lube like a chainsaw otherwise it's going to last long is it?
I have an electric chain saw for large cuts.
You might want to mention that the locking nut is left handed.
How do you change just the chain
Awesome piece of kit !
where is the oil for the chain?
Hi brother
Does it fit to the flex volt table saw?
dude not sure how that would work...sounds super scary lol
Great video but to heck with the saw....l want your building!
Is there any advantage to that over a chainsaw.
Festool has this tool for aaaalot of money ^^ they are so useful guess they came up with it first
Three beams indeed sir!
Где купить такой инструмет?
30 minutes inn I am not able to remove the snapring
Now give it to Diresta and get him to make it into a mortiser :)
MrFakit that would be great

Looks dangerous!
I like it! :D
I’m surprised there’s no Oiler for that chain and bar. It’s gonna get trashed.

Why not use a proper snap ring plier ?
If I had one
Yep… FIRST thing to do is take the battery out ! ! !
If you think I'm not going to mount this thing on an angle grinder somehow, you're right, because that's probably super dangerous.
Bộ lam xich giá bao nhiêu
Who is this new bearded wonder? haha.
Sound is out of sync?
maybe... thats weird hadn't noticed
i hate not having a use for this
Now diresta can steal your video and have a proof that it's his
Like buttah. Nice!
Dont forget to oil the chain.
Incorrect sir. The FIRST thing you're going to do is remove the battery
The snap ring is a bitch to get off
Quanto e lunga la lama
Me want

Maybe someday mechanicalhub will be first😂
У вас лишний не завалялся? Судя по флагу вы из америки?
could you shave your beard with that thing
just joking don't do that
hhaha
at it price you better buy a chainsaw
