Steakhouse 71- Walt Disney World Dining Review- Trying The Contemporary Resort's Newest Restaurant

- As a last hurrah for the summer before our little BS'ers start school this week, we headed out to Disney's Contemporary Resort. We made ourselves reservations for lunch at Steakhouse 71 which was formally The Wave. We had to try out the famous Bacon & Eggs, the loaded mac & cheese from the lounge, salisbury steak, 6oz filet mignon, prime rib sandwich, stack burger and gourmet grilled cheese. We also had to try out the 15 layer chocolate cake. We were not disappointed with our choices! Definitely try to grab a reservation for this underrated restaurant if you can!

I always get so excited to visit new restaurants and try out the menu. This place looks solid and the food looks yummy.
It was so good! We try to figure out what we want before we get there but sometimes Disney likes to switch up the menus. We really enjoyed it all and had so much leftover! -S

Excellent video and review. This place looks pretty nice. The grilled cheese would be an appetizer for us. That sounds too good to pass up. The Salisbury steak and Filet also looked good, but a thin filet is blasphemous. I can see where you were rightfully disappointed. I would be too. It sounds like the experience went well overall. I guess with a 15 layer cake with whiskey infused chocolate to cap the night off, you can't help but have a good experience overall.
We honestly really did love everything that we had. I’m glad we brought the kids and that they all ordered different things so we could try it all. Brian and I would definitely go back soon and try some of their drinks too and they have some pb&j wings that sounded interesting as well! -S

I love going to steakhouses! This one totally looks so special! I've never had a Salisbury steak but I think I'd really love it, and the burger looks super loaded and tasty! I'd totally want the bacon and eggs too, very nice! Awesome meal and the prices seem reasonable!
Everything was delicious! Our little BS’er didn’t like the char on the burger but we thought it was great! The Salisbury steak was good too. Just imagine a meatloaf covered in gravy. We really enjoyed everything and the bacon and eggs was amazing! -S

Well knowing that the lunch was your least favorite, we are going to have to go back and try some more meals! The loaded Mac and cheese was so good! A little spicy but the kids loved it too so it wasn’t too spicy for them! -S

Hey Brian and Stephanie! Everything looked absolutely delicious. I always find it’s hard to get a steak at a restaurant cooked exactly the way I want it. I totally agree with the steamed vegetables, almost always if I order vegetables at a restaurant they are bland. The cake… Oh my gosh it looked scrumptious! I think raspberry and chocolate go extremely well together. Great video guys. I really enjoyed seeing all these great places to eat where you all live. Take care!! 👊🏼🍻

Great to hear Brian is feeling healthy! Interesting orders. For a child (Little B.S.-er) to order a Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich is amazing, was she influenced by an Adult B.S.-er to get it? LOL So you both like canned green beans more! Wow. As for steak, I will never order a steak when dining out. Not my kind of thing when I can prepare it the way I really want it at home. Our little BS’ers all chose their own meals this time. Sometimes we influence them but this time they each decided what they wanted and were generally happy with their choices besides the burger 😂. There is just something about the canned green beans that is just better than fresh. I am usually the one that will gravitate towards a steak while eating out because Brian normally has the same thought process as you. It’s never cooked how he wants. I think because we grew up on them too but we like the fresh ones too as long as they are seasoned 😉 The bar area that’s what we are about 😆 Sucks the steak wasn’t good! I thought the steak was tasty and ate it all at lunch 😂. Nice thing about having a partner on these videos is it’s easy to switch! We definitely need seasoning. We need places to bring back the table salt and pepper, or at least put some packets out there! -S

We did not get the meal plan. We live about 45 minutes away from Disney so we don’t actually stay at the resorts or go to the parks. We just enjoy the restaurants! -S

Pretty reasonably priced for a fancy family place….way to go feeling healthy Brian….most places over cook their green beans…..they are better undercooked like broccoli….that cake is ridiculous!!!!😆😆
The cake was enormous! These green beans were definitely over cooked which is probably why I didn’t mind them. The broccoli was a little mushy though but I love broccoli any way it comes! 😂-S
