    Nice one Danny, I too am in Bolton with Audi S3 but Saloon. Most I do myself, so your vids are great. pollen filter replacement and so is sump plug. Engine filer is easier, but not the sump plug as harder to locate

    Another great video Danny. Love this content and just goes to show that any home mechanic can give this a go. Also love the fact that you’re honest in your approach to jobs and no job is too small for you to take care of - if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly.
    Hopefully the rear replacement jet washer nozzle ain’t too much but don’t be surprised if it is though! I had to get a replacement front jet washer nozzle for my missus Yaris which got ripped off when we went to the monkey enclosure of Knowsley Safari park last year and the cost from Toyota was £20.
    Cheers again and keep killing it with the content mate!

      Cheers Phil. The replacement washer jet was £14. But i don't mind though as the blocked washer it causing the pipe to leak inside the boot lid as I have noticed a few tiny rust bubbles behind the number plate which must be caused by this. 😎😎😎

    Like your style everything is nice and clean and the parts you are changing are torqued up to speck and well worth spending the time doing it at your own pace

      For peace of mind and the small cost, get it changed, this causes major damage to the cam, hpfp etc and is a common failure, definitely a must change in these engines even more so if they are tuned .. not a bad job to do it either 👍

      @@GIXXERUKX yeah I think I paid £40 for the follower and £10 for the o-ring from Audi 😎😎😎

      Got them from Opie Oils pal 👍

  • @rossmclaren71

    Great job mate ! But keep an eye on that coil pack with the oil on it as it’s probably the cam cover seals leaking in there mate and can cause a misfire if it gets wet enough. They should be bone dry in there

    • @projectfearn
      @projectfearn  2 года назад +2

      I didn't think about that pal. Will deffo keep an eye on it. Was weird as the plugs were not even tight and plug three was proper loose yet thr car drove mint but bloody hell it feels like a different car now. Will probably get new gaskets ordered and swapped out.

    wow , another S3 (8P) in sprint blue , mines the same , i must admit my rear calipers are a bit tired , you have to pull up the handbrake fully to stop the car rolling, i thought it was self adjutsting? is it a good idea to clean the coil pack every 5-6 months ? the fuel filter looks awkward to do . i hope your going to do more on the S3 in future !

    My S3 8p is misfiring in cylinder 1. Ive changed the spark plugs and coil packs but I’m still getting it. Would you know what to look into next?

    • @projectfearn
      @projectfearn  2 года назад +2

      Have you had the codes read pal? It could be a failing/dirty injector.

    • @redemptionx2918
      @redemptionx2918 2 года назад

      @@projectfearn hi mate. I ran a test and got the error code P0301, this is cylinder 1 misfire. I suppose the injector would be next to change? My concern atm I’m going to run another test but the car is running really bad and not smooth. Exhaust is constantly popping on idle, and the engine is extremely loud now. Bit of context the car had been sitting outside my house for 7 months not even turned on. And only now got round to start diagnosing
