G.I. robots, inability to have humanity and have a place in regular life amongst normal people and not be able to operate outside of war to kill Nazis can be seen as an allegory for a soldier who has PTSD and can’t acclimate to civilian life this in a way makes him more endearing as he can be seen very very lonely, but also makes him very very relatable

11:30 GI asked him his station and the man confirmed that he is a civilian and not military, that's why GI never asked him about Nazis and kept mostly quite.
Seeing that the bride has her arms back and Nina was left in a tub so she can stay alive tells me that Circe may not be in the wrong here.
This show reminds of x men 97 because they can tell great stories in a short amount of time. I appreciate that. James Gunn is cooking so far in the DCU🔥💯

GI is known for dying, but another version of him always appears, not the same one, another one, like he is supposed to be like the 5th one, the 2nd of his name, cant remember right now, maybe Joe or smthing like that, Joe 2 I mean. In the war they made more GI cause they always died or went missing, but then after the war this GI was part of the SHADOW (like SHIELD but DC and for monsters) and lasted longer.
And then we have the fact that this is not the comics and then he is probably only the second one ever made (or maybe the first and the 2 is only cause the first was beta idk), which means we can still get more hehe
From a story perspective, it makes sense for GI to die here. This is another version of The Suicide Squad, and if we look at all the characters potentials, GIs is sadly the most limited one, hence his death in episode 3. Hes very one note and I think its a smart decision to take him out. What new would he have to offer? Another couple episodes asking if the people around him are nazis?

This episode made me want a GI game version of Wolfenstein, honestly such a goated character in the show

Btw it's really cool seeing Will Magnus in the show since it means we can potentially see the Metal Men in the DCU. The Metal Men are such an underrated team of heroes who have so much potential to be explored in the DCU and with how much James Gunn loves to turn lesser known characters into household names I can see him do a lot of interesting and compelling things with the Metal Men
I’m pretty sure they already announced a Metal Men project.
@@milkiassamuel780 I also love the inclusion of SGT Rock and Easy Company who may have his own project in the near future. Gunn including underrated characters is one of my favorite aspects of the new universe he’s setting up.

I mean, I understand how G.I. Robot felt when he realized Sam Fitzgibbon was a Neo-Nazi. You couldn't really tell he was a bad person until the very end. Monsters like him always look like a normal everyday person until they show their true colors.
BTWs Sure Shot is voiced by the same guy who played Jesse (Infinity Train): Robbie Daymond. And yes, Michael Rooker plays Sam Fitzgibbon

can we just appreciate the power scaling shown so far. like bride was beating on cersi last episode but wasn't absolutely destroying her, here we had weasel (ngl i was like wtf weasel gonna do) but holy shit the fact he's able to out right drawning blood on an amazonian mind you (they are durable af) continuously with is fangs and claws is crazy. prosperous speaks for himself.

The jumping of Circe reminds me that a lot of great DC moments come from teams being formed just based on their ability to jump people.
Like the Rogues are a consistent threat to The Flash b/c they can jump him like a well-oiled machine
Circe is a Wonder Woman tier opponent and the literal goddess of magic, so it makes sense that Atomic Skull couldn’t melt her face off that easily.

We've been watching Weasel for years, and wondering if he was harmless or psychotic. He's not harmless, and definitely psychotic, but I don't think he killed 28 babies.

I was happy to see characters like Sergeant Rock, Will Magnus, and Animal-Vegetable-Mineral-Man. The inclusion of Magnus gives me hope that there’s a chance of seeing the Metal Men in the future.

..hear me out.. Is the Princess RAVEN?? 😅, her three gem necklace in Episode 1 weirdly made me think of Raven’s attire. It’s weird the princess is so beautiful and youthful, perhaps there is some weird magic going on. Plus, Raven and Trigon could be something Circe fears and would be a good fit for Monsters to fight

Love this episode, because it gives back story on G.I. Robot, who's one of my favorite characters. Every episode has been on point, and is very entertaining.

GI went out like a G. He killed as many of the bad guys and felt happy as he felt he was doing what he was made to do. He refound his purpose.

Circe doomed the world more than they did. She could have given them a short explanation before leaving them trapped at that house. She didn’t even tell her men to kill the princess on sight. Circle should have used stronger magic to oneshot her instead of just knocking her ass down if it was really that fucking dire that the world would be doomed.

I think they kept GI fueled up to serve his time because he's a perfect prisoner that can serve all his consecutive life sentences hundreds of years into the future. Kind of a commentary on the banality of the prison system.
Also Waller was the one keeping him imprisoned, so no doubt she wanted to keep him working for future use.

Overall this was a pretty good one, but it committed one of the cardinal sins of power armor: don't give cool power armor to canon fodder.
I will say, I expected Sgt. Rock, but I did not expect the creator of the Metal Men, Fisherman, Animal Vegetable Mineral Man, Crimson Centipede, and Shaggy Man. Thats some fuckin bottom of the barrel characters right there
