hey man, just want to say this vid you dropped here is extremely valuable as it covers so much of the fundamentals of being not just a long pole but a lacrosse player in general and for someone like myself who likes to get their work in on their own time, these movements are definitely ones I will incorporate into my training starting today.
I just started lacrosse. I played one season this 2017-2018 school year as a freshman. This will be the only sport I will focus on throughout high school and I was wondering if you believe there’s a chance I could at least red shirt one year in college. Also, do you play for college? I’m impressed how good you are. Keep it up
I’m also genetically gifted to play defense. I’m 6’0 181lbs as uprising sophomore in high school and can bench 160lbs. (Which isn’t a lot but more than most my age)
that's true i didn't even think about that. regardless, what do you think of my chances of starting? I tend to pick things up rather quickly. Personally, I think if I try really really hard for the next 3 years it is unlikely I will play college lacrosse.
Criztal Play club lacrosse during the summer and winter. Just by playing the game helps you get better. If you were training hard for 3 years and sacrificed a lot you’d probably be able to start.
You will want a head that is wider, and has some stiffness to it as well. Every major brand has their version of a defensive head. Such as: Maverik Tank, STX Hammer, Brine Edge, Warrior Revo, etc. You really can't go wrong.

It doesn't matter on when you start (Unless you start really late), it mostly matters on the work you put in
how many times do we have to repeat each drill
Holy cow, thank you so much
What type of stick do you recommend, I play D but im looking to get a new shortie.

I play LSM/D and i use the Maverik Tacktik, it’s phenomenal head, and it’s the head that hasn’t broke on me yet throwing a poke or a slap check.
