As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, I agree with his insights. Earlier today, I heard one of the podcasts on this channel saying innovation and efficiency can't coexist. Even large innovation companies care about efficiency because they care about ROI. Their multiple concepts are vetted at various levels before a lot of money is thrown behind them. Innovation projects tend to fall into the Design For Six Sigma or Agile/Scrum methodologies for development.
@user-cf2vo8sc1n Tony Robbins 1975 in his own words asked__have you ever wondered why someone less skilled than you are has more success than you do__ he offered education… not that different from what we see today. Interpretation is often subjective so I suppose one might define this as a fomo type tactic. Cheers 🥂
@user-cf2vo8sc1n I’m befuddled, and more than just a little curious about the notion of being genuine. For the sake of my own clarity, if you are willing, I would love to better understand what it is that you are focusing on, and how does that gives rise to your concern?
Allan's insights on adaptability and customer-centricity are spot on! Building goodwill and truly listening to customers are timeless strategies for navigating change and fostering long-term success in any industry. 🌟
I like this guy! Such sensible, practical and inspiring advice and he's so humble! Hope to see him on your show again. Such a breath of fresh air, compared to guests who repeat the same vague 'advice' you hear everywhere and spend all their time talking about how super human they are and how they sleep 2.5 seconds a night.
Hey Chris. As you mentioned about your marketing challenges I have some interesting ideas for you. Idea 1 - As you're top-notch in creativity why don't consider education programs for kids? Why don't make the kids in the US creative? To teach the things that they don't learn at school. The best part is that you don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just steal the experience from an Armenian company called Tumo. It started in Yerevan (my city) and now it's available in various countries including the US, France, and Germany. Idea 2 - Another scalable idea is to target enterprises. Teach their sales teams. These huge clients will bring you stability and big contracts. What do you think?
I’m an ecom business owner. Love Allan’s both books. The first five chapters of his new book Lean Marketing are quite helpful for building landing pages.
The fundamentals of marketing remain the same as they have ever been - identifying a need/desire in the marketplace, identifying the target demographic, pricing it appropriately, securing distribution and promoting/advertising. What I like about these conversations is that your focus is on learning to identify what makes your product unique instead of how many online views to aim for. It’s interesting that with all the flashy, informative bits of video like this and the hundreds of marketing books for sale, companies continue to make the most basic mistakes - running out of popular product, inconsistent promoting of events, making it hard to find what customers are looking for, creating cookie cutter social media campaigns, ignoring the one-to-one contact with influencers and journalists.
This is the funnest interview ever ! I have the “One Page Marketing Plan” I got it when I first started in business, now 10 years in my business I am going to reread it and grab the new book! Thanks for this chat!
Thank you for this incredible podcast. I work in sales and marketing and our market is get saturated and I find myself getting lost in the noise. This episode gave me ideas on how I can approach things differently!
“A lot of your wins will come from doing the common stuff uncommonly well … it’s not the best that wins it’s the best marketing that wins every time…. Use marketing to “make how you do what you do visible.” Often I’ve heard similar statements (“it’s not enough to be the best”) I think this is the first time I’ve heard a solution. Thanks for that cheers 🥂
This is why I love how unique we all are. Marketers just repackaged the concept of efficiency and sold it to us. haha. its important to diverse your proximity to avoid creating an echo chamber.
The amount of scifi lore reference in this episode is making my brain light up. "I am no jedi" / "Only the sith deal in absolutes" - Allan Dib (paraphrased) Doon Too: Return of the Email Marketing - Chris Would be really funny if this was made into a thumbnail or hook of some sort
31:12 Same for me and it’s been frustrating and unfortunate. I have an older sister for two years and an identical twin brother. Even the “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” reference, a book my brother gave me the year it came out, a few months before graduating high school. They both have spoken of wanting to do a certain thing and would never act when I asked, even after seeing my actions and results. I wanted them and others to come along with me and now it’s resentment. So so frustrating.
I am curious to know which software or tool do you use to record the high quality video in the podcast. I am super fan of your content for last 2-3 months now and you have inspired me to take closing seriously in my business.
that's like me with my songwriting.. when i play my songs live, like "I'm Not The Only One", tough guys have cried.. but online i get pretty much zero views or subscriber growth.. i think when i die people will be like "that guy wrote really moving songs".. i had hoped Dolly Parton would love to cover "Kin", it's about people who are there for each other in tough times, but it's so hard to get her to hear it.. i guess I'm just not cut out for being a "Brand".. i just write from my heart and maybe that's not enough these days in a world of "product" and people who are good at hyping themselves, kind of like hookers
it's interesting how many people write books and make money giving advice but never actually ran a successful business for long or ever.. they often just recycle other older books in their "ideas".. not sure what this guys track record is but I've been noticing a pattern edit: ok he ran a business and sold it but he never said it was profitable during the business run
what a selfish uncaring mercenary.. won't hang out with people who have had a tough time.. he is a true mercenary character.. at some point he'll have a tough time in life and i bet he'll be hurt if people abandon him in a tough time.. he's NOT a friend to people he's in it for what he can get.. avoid
Incredible podcast you two🎉 Chris would you please notify your audience on Instagram or on Youtubr when you go live with Allan on LinkedIn- or may be somehow share it here after. Would really appreciate it

I'm not sure if delivering in half the time is the best advice.
It is for clients who appreciate and are willing to pay for speed.
Hmm, great insight but I wouldn't want to work with him as speed is so important to him. I think Chris has said in the past, don't charge by time.
