    • @prashantsingh-fz8ly
      @prashantsingh-fz8ly 6 лет назад +19

      LOl. There are 1000s of such British laws.This is not the only law.For eg. just 2years ago we changed timing of our parliament and budget month. It was initially according to British timing coming from colonial times.It took us 70 yrs to do that.You could understand the bureaucratic nonsense in our country. Just wait 5-10 years. We have the govt, it will come again in power next year.These laws are being changed rapidly now. YOu will see a totally different India in just 10 years.

      As far as homophobia is concern.20% of people still live under 1$. Most of Indians do not actually care what are you doing in your bed.

      They care enough to keep what certain people do in bed illegal. It is not enough to not actively seek to keep injustice in place, one must actively seek to abolish injustice. A starving man who is willing to oppress his fellow man is not deserving of food.

    Everyone making fun of this man should be ashamed of themselves. Put yourself in this person's shoes. What would you do? He is heroic and a leader. India should celebrate this man. Compassion towards those who need it is one of the things that makes us human and potentially makes the world better. Any religion or system of beliefs that says one type of person is better than another type of person is wrong... and reeks of hypocrisy. You know who believes one type of person is better than everyone else? Nazi's, National Socialists and their ilk. So if you want to be lumped in with those knuckleheads.. by all means. Also the ones who make the biggest noise against gay people, usually turn out to be overcompensating for something... hmmm what could that be?

      AWResistance I feel how confused you are, you should know why incest is bad, because there are certain types of relationship which are as respectable, as beautiful, as selfless, so complete that cannot and should not be sexualized, because if its done it doesn't remain as good as before.
      Whether its gay sex or straight sex, u r actually looking for pleasure by rubbing your mucus membranes with others under the drive of adrenaline, so it's doesn't matter in which hole u r putting it into, unless the person means something to u.

    • @kpopstan6892
      @kpopstan6892 6 лет назад +8

      AWResistance Umm no, incest is wrong because having a sexual relationship with someone from the same blood line can bring out rare genetic disorders. Please pick up a 10th grade biology book and get your facts right. You are bringing something totally out of context into a discussion about homosexuality; your ignorance is showing.

    He is definitely one of the first public figure to come out as gay. India needs more individuals like him!
    When I was younger up until the age of maybe 13 or 14 I didn't even know that homosexuality was a thing. (Which is why I could never put a name to my sexuality till I was 16).
    India definitely needs more LGBTQIA+ visibility for that very reason, so kids dont have to spend years of their life as confused as I was!

    Homosexuality has never been considered a crime in Hindu culture. In fact, Lord Ayyappa was born of Hari-Hara (Vishnu & Shiva). It is not a crime in any Smriti. Everyone has male & female elements. According to their dominance, tendencies show up & may change. Nobody should face discrimination because of their sexual preferences. To be branded a criminal for this is absurd.” - H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
    Hindus should understand the scientific and medical conclusions that LGBT orientations occur naturally in a percentage of most life forms. These are not acquired habits and certainly not a disorder, handicap, or “disease to be cured.”
    Hindu teachings hold the inherent spiritual equality of all beings, regardless of outer attributes. As such, Hindus should not reject or socially ostracize LGBT individuals, but should accept them as fellow sojourners on their paths to moksha.
    Hinduism’s soaring spiritual essence should not be conflated with social practice, and the tradition allows for the understanding and interpretation of customs to change over time. Various historical smritis are testament to such changes, and even in ancient times, smriti never advocated broad-based, harsh punishments for homosexuality.
    I believe that it is important for Hindu leaders, both religious and lay, to work within our Sruti/Smriti framework to evolve a uniquely Hindu perspective on LGBT rights, rather than follow existing social mores which may be influenced by other factors.

      Not that I approve, but that's just men for you...
      It's rare to find a man - especially a gay man - who isn't looking for an easy lay.
      It's part of why I've just given up on finding a good man and now focus on my cats.
      I dated a closeted prince for a while and guess how that relationship ended?
      Answer: with me coming home one day to find him head-first between another guy's legs.
      Common man or royalty, openly gay or closeted, they're all the same.

    so ive gone thru the comment section here and id love to ask the religous people commenting why does it bother u when it doesnt affect u one bit. why does someone elses sexual oriention make u feel so uneasy...unless u have a secret urself and abuse of another makes u feel better about ur own internal conflict with ur tendencies?
    there are a few christians i think but predominantly the ignorace comes from channels with islamic sounding names. why cant people make choices for themselves, choices that have no negative impact on your lives.
    this type of intolerance belongs in the past along with some current ideologies more characteristic of the dark ages.

    Looked for ages, years ago, but no luck. I imagine the royal families involved suppressed it after it aired. They even made a trailer for a second series which never got out - such a tease!
