Chief Chilly actually isn't the final boss in Mario Kart DS. If you get 1 star on every mission you will unlock level 7, with 8 new challenges and the actual final boss, a race against Wiggler! It's a pretty difficult boss, because Wiggler is fast and you only have 3 balloons. It's still not a great "final" boss, but it's nice that there is a second racing boss (and it's a lot better than Chief Chilly as a final boss).

[11:13] So there is actually a decent reason for why the boss fights are rabbits in Mario Odyssey. It's effectively multiple jokes and puns combined. However it would go over many people's heads since it's not explained and requires some cultural knowledge. So they're not just a random bunch of evil rabbits, they're bowser's evil _wedding planners_. Their suits and dresses initially give off this mafia/ gangster vibe, but in actuality they are dressed for the occasion .i.e. the theme of the game being Bowser's wedding. Even their group name Broodal, is meant to be a pun/ portmanteau of the words, "Bridal", "Groom", and "Brutal". It also ties into the story of the game. In most Kingdoms that you visit throughout the game, some major item or person has stolen from each one, to be used in Bowser's perfect wedding. The dress from the Lake Kingdom, the food from the Luncheon Kingdom, the sparkling water from the Seaside Kingdom, Tiara (Cappy's sister) Cap Kingdom, etc. The implication is the Broodal's are the ones planning the wedding and telling Bowser all the best things needed to be stolen for the wedding, which is why you fight them in these locations. And why rabbits? Well in Japanese folklore rabbits are said to come from the moon. That's why in there are so many Rabbits in hats in the Dark side of the Moon level. And that's also why Bowser's wedding is on the moon. It's not just the best wedding chapel available to host his wedding. The Broodal's upsold Bowser on it, because they're from the moon.

I think my favorite boss is the mario galaxy boss where mario fights a flipping mech. I replayed that boss fight SO many times cause I thought it was so cool.

Great video but eh, I really disagree with you about the Odyssey stuff. Like yeah there's a lot of little gimmicky stuff in the game, but, there's like 1000 moons in Odyssey. And there's a lot of skill expression to be found in speeding up the fights, as well as some of the captures being really fun to move with (the nose-bird in Bowser's Kingdom for example), so it's an extension of the core gameplay. And again, these fights are a very small percentage of your overall time edxploring. Also, yeah, I can't name the broodals or the weird food bird, but can you name even half the Galaxy boss fights?
I liked the bird nose fight a lot, what I was more asking (and should have said better) was why wasn’t there any like chasing missions, like imagine the shadow Mario stages in Mario sunshine had an analog in Mario odyssey it would’ve been sick as hell and a cool challenge. I should’ve been more clear it’s not that I don’t like the game as it is, I just wish it had some more interesting stuff (for me personally, you may like it and that’s totally fine). Also you’re right I can only name like 6-7 Mario galaxy bosses but definitely not all of them. But other than that I hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching and commenting.

I think you misunderstand the point of this video. This video is a riff yes but that’s the point I’m not just going over facts this is all opinion, like the entire concept of “strangest” is a complete opinion, and whatever I say about it is how I feel about it. Like you know that someone could make this exact same video completely soulless and only full of “facts” and void of “unnecessary tangents” and make is 45 minutes everything that was said here was from the heart and only as long as it came to be, if you did not enjoy it then I am sorry. But I regret nothing and if you want a channel that just says the exact same things that every other person says on the topic than there are many channels that you could watch that would deliver exactly that. @@cladladd i do not even disagree with you or anything im just kind of frustrated with this entire video's presentation because it feels like you're struggling to say anything at all and just end up making very easy very pedestrian kinds of jokes and venting about personal grievances with the games in place of having more than a handful of things to say about the actual topic of the video.i think just generally if yourself writing "ummm so yeah i guess i didn't actually have a point there. anyways-" thats probably a sign to reevaluate. like i really do not intend to come across as mean but like this video should've just been about MKDS mission mode because that's clearly where you have the most to actually say
