As someone who's last time playing a Mario & Luigi game being Dream Team on the 3DS literal years ago before yesterday; I legitimately rushed to my Switch yesterday to purchase the game off of the Eshop, as I couldn't head to GameStop or anywhere else to get a physical copy. I got about 4 hours in yesterday, and I must say that it's pretty friggin' solid so far. The combat is good, the story is pretty decent and the game is visually stunning. Suffice to say, I'm pretty satisfied by my purchase and I'm glad to see this series return.

I love the game so far but something about how it controls bothers me. I dont quite know how to say it, but the jumps in the overworld and during counterattacks feel, i dunno, sticky? And the character writing just isn't as good. Its not bad but M&L games usually have such distinct, funny, charming dialogue for every character and this time it just feels a little flat so far.

Man the MUSIC. you already know when someone makes an ost imma listen to that shit for hours on end

I’m only an hour into the game and so far I’m enjoying it but my one complaint is the fact that you can no longer pick a stat in the level up menu. I think it actually takes a pretty decent amount away from it.

this game is pretty good. also imo mario and luigi games aren’t peak rpgs

i played about three hours of this and as a lifelong M&L fan absolutely hated it. story feels like it wants to get itself over with, luigi feels terrible gamefeel wise, bonus roulette is still snubbed, padding up the wazoo, i think i would go as far as to say i prefer paper jam. im glad other people are enjoying this one tho!

I disagree with a lot of your opinions but I’m really glad you’re happy. I played a bit of the game and was a little ashamed as I grew up playing all the entries in the series.

Fun game, but isnt like the previous games. Loving the world though and the characters. Just sad they removed a few details such as the hype music, the iconic giant shoe, hammer, etc when encountering other enemies, etc. Although, Im glad to see this back

I thought Joker 1 was awful. It was good in some aspects, but it's extremely overrated.

Some things are just dumb... When I was a kid I would watch something different...

interesting pov but i do think that the joker has been made a stand alone movie that isnt connected to the dcu for a reason. its an interesting adaptation of the joker and never really claims to be canon and doesnt have to be. also iirc didnt a masked man kill martha and thomas wayne? arthur fleck would have inadvertantly caused their death not explicitly him doing it. correct me if im wrong

Eminem was my favorite rapper from 2000-2004. When he dropped Encore, I pretended that it wasn’t garbage. Nobody is saying he can’t rap. If anything, he is skillfully at his zenith…but I don’t want to hear it. There is definitely something different about his music from 2009-present day. In my ears, he has never topped Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show.
