    The high-tempo, high-pressing playing style is precisely why there are injury crises at Liverpool. We need a manager who's going to get us playing pragmatically with a defensive structure that will see us keep clean sheets and not go down 1-0 within the first 10-15 minutes of games.

    i wonder if diego simeone has ever been considered, seems like a coach that has a lot of passion but wonder if his football would be too negative for a liverpool manager but has done a good job being in a league with barca and madrid and also made it deep in the champions league multiple times. Think he would be a good shout and think the fans would love him

    Hi Dunk
    It sounds to me like LFC don’t want to be seen as being too cocky with regards Amorim. They wouldn’t want to disrespect Sporting during the season. I think these comments have been made to get us all thinking LFC are looking in many directions. As soon as the season is over for Sporting, I would not be surprised to see the announcement he has been appointed. ????

    We can't be getting fall back options that concerns me , question we didn't get alonso if we dont get ruben amorim does that mean we are not as attractive as we think,if real Madrid were looking for a manger i can almost guarantee people are dropping everything and joining Madrid ,thats if we fail in both main targets unless alonso and amorim were never our main targets but i believe they were .

  • @stevencrich8038
    @stevencrich8038 29 дней назад +1

    If we want to play high pressing aggressive football. You need a big squad with quality in depth and not kids as back up. FSG won't finance such a squad. As for the injury's, it's hard to use a manager's record from other countries because of the climate and the less number of games played. It looks like they are struggling to get the top targets.

    Thanx for the update Dunc. Sounds to me that they are not sure that Amorim is as keen as LFC first thought. The absence of named alternatives suggests they are covering their backs in case options #1 and #2 turn them down (for the best of reasons - managing LFC is a daunting challenge and following Klopp doubles it).

  • @rodrobson
    @rodrobson 29 дней назад +1

    I saw that interview on RUclips. He said Edwards and Hughes working on the recruiting of a new manager. He also said Liverpool want a manager who will connect with the fans. I am wondering if Ornsteiyn playing links to Amorim down.

  • @pedrorodrigues7285
    @pedrorodrigues7285 27 дней назад +1

    The key word is "brave", the difference between pay 10 or 20 million to take Amorim from SCP.
    In my opinion the business is already set if LFC pay 10 million, but I think Amorim want leave SCP keeping good relationships, after all it was the club that project him in international football.
    So what it could happen is LFC pay 20 millions, or pay 10 million and the others 10 millions came directly from Amorim's pocket.
    If SCP payed for Amorim 10 million its logic that if he leaves during contract the club sell the coach for 20 million, having a positive balance between buying and selling in this operation 10 million.
    So if Amorim goes for 10 million the balance for the club is zero.
    So I think this is the point right now in the negotiation.
    When the journalists say brave, probably is know about this and suggest that as SCP was brave to pay 10 millions for Amorim to SC Braga, so LFC should be brave and bet 20 millions for him.

    I was thinking about this the other day. I dont think Alonso is coming. We dont really need to go down that road. BUT that been said. I wonder if they are still hoping that once the season is over they could try for him anyway? I mean he hasnt signed a new contract. So when everything settles in 5 or 6 weeks, and the winning the title aura relaxes. I wonder if they are hoping that Alonso might be ready for an actual conversation then. From that POV I would see how they might not think of Amorim as the first choice. Maybe form that POV he is a second choice but the most likely. At this stage I cant see an un-named manager coming into the frame surely.
