"Words, when spoken out loud for the sake of performance, are music. They have rhythm,
and pitch, and timbre, and volume. These are the properties of music, and music has the
ability to find us and move us, and lift us up in ways that literal meanings can't."

    I love the scene.
Abby: "You are an oratorical snob."
Jed: "Yes I am and God loves me for it."
Abby: "I thought you said He was sending you to hell."
Jed "For other stuff not for this."

I love how childish bartlet is sometimes in an endearing sort of way. His talk of wanting to tunnel out of there is a perfect example.

Honestly they are the most believable loving couples- even when conflicting/ arguing ?They have rules they abide by and so much chemistry ! Their banter / talk seems honestly to come form decades together....brilliant casting and acting! Also ? Stockard Channing emits the vibrance and sexuality that makes him giving up the idea of the priesthood? Utterly believable!

One of the sharpest, wittiest repartees between this dynamic couple throughout the series. After Sorkin left, the dialogue lacked the "panache" described by President Bartlet which came to embody the earlier seasons.
