It sounds like a studio recording because the band is just that good live. I was at this concert and I guarantee you that this was exactly how it sounded live. I would actually argue that they sound even better live than in the studio.
If you're looking for ballads, try "Wherever You Are" at Yokohama Stadium or the studio jam session version of "Heartache." The performance at 35xxxv Japan Tour is great too if you want to hear the original, more rock ballad-y version. Heck, listen to them both and compare!
OOR will be wrapping up their tour in the U.S. in a couple days.

They've been a band for over 15 years, not only one of the most well known bands in Japan, they also one of the most well known Japanese bands in the world, taka is one of the greatest singers in Japan🤘🏻

They now already have legendary status in this genre in Japan.
Why have they become so popular in Japan? It is not because they are a manufactured commercial band, but because they are a rare band that has overcome many obstacles along the way, all of which they have acquired on their own.
Their status in Japan is overwhelming, and frontman taka's statements are influential enough to make the news in Japan.
In 2017 they were scheduled to tour with Linkin Park.
They are already influencing people in Japan in many areas beyond singing to the way they live their lives.

Check out One Ok Rock - ONE BY ONE live for something heavier.
Been to their headliner concert here in Manila. They're THAT GOOD in person.

they started this band on 2005 when they are highschool students. They are not influenced by BABY METAL at all.

One ok rock is a one of the rare bands that can show better performances than recording one. You can check out the fan cam version, this guy can really sing live and often better than recording one. Please react to them "Good goodbye" live version. Really nice ballad with acrostic guitar and Taka's (the vocal) voice is insane.

Thanks for the OOR reaction!! A couple things…
    - If anything, Babymetal was influenced by OOR and not the other way around! 😅 Taka (the vocalist) and the boys formed in 2005 and by the time BM went independent in 2013 OOR already had a huge following. They are of course very different genres anyway, with OOR being rooted in emo-rock and punk and BM looking to fuse Metal with Japanese idol culture.
    - I know it sounds good enough to be studio work, but it is indeed live!
If you’re looking for some other songs that are a little less “commercial” I’d recommend some of their earlier work like “Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer” (the version at Mighty Long Fall in Yokohama is great) or maybe try “Onion” for some more technical work.
Cheers and hope you do more reactions with OOR! They’re currently finishing up their US tour in support of their latest release Luxury Disease.

You should check this band more. Especially their live performance. This band is underrated. These guys are incredibly talented. Their songs are a complete package. Different genre and all. 🖤

They are bigger than Babymetal, especially in Asia.
They have been around for almost 20 years (20 years in 2025).

I just saw One OK Rock’s recent concert in Minneapolis - one of the cities in their Luxury Disease [new album] US tour. The band is awesome! They sound excellent live. I know you might think it’s not live, but lead singer Taka is one of the best voices out there. He writes the band’s music as well. So, so talented. The band’s influences include Linkin Park so their songs are more of that ilk. OOR has some slow songs. One of my faves is Take What You Want. Here’s the video from the 2018 Japan Dome Tour (be patient after the first verse): ruclips.net/video/Ygn6aiTtCeY/видео.html

ONE OK ROCK is one of the top bands in Japan. Babymetal, on the other hand, is not very popular in Japan. They are like pop idols and don't deserve to be affected.
ONE OK ROCK is famous for their singing ability and live performances.
Vocalist TAKA keeps his pitch even while headbanging violently at times. Even at concerts, he moves and dances all the time, but he never runs out of breath.
You will be amazed by their talent as you watch some of their live videos in the future😊
