From what I can tell, replace the shrunk down knapford station with the actual station, and replace the horrendous turntable with an actual one along with the sheds and this set will be 10 times better. For an added bonus, use the twin signal track piece, include Edward, coal trucks, coaches and this set will come to life.

This set feels like a modern day take on the old "james goes buzz buzz set." Never had this set as a kid, but I know I would have loved it. Honestly love the turntable and coal loader

Just picked up this set today from my local Tuesday Morning for $100! While I wish I could have gotten the set just a bit cheaper, I'm happy to have all these rare pieces for my collection as I'm a nut for both destinations and switches.
To be honest, this set reminds me of the A Day at the Works set, but even so, it needs a little more work to make it greater. I would keep everything relatively the same, but the first thing I would do is make the set a full rectangle by keeping both V switches and installing an X switch, but I would make the Knapford station building that would be like the one from the 90's(2 parallel lines running under 1 canopy). The next thing would be to install a Muffle mountain type hill between the curve behind Knapford and the Crosby coal tunnel. Next would be to put in Crosby station and a siding that ends at a ramp. Next would be to put a small yard, a turntable, and three special engine sheds next to Knapford station. The next thing would be to install some points on the left curve on the back line that lead to Brendam docks. Here's the rest of the inclusions for the set... Engines and other viechles: concerned Edward, angry Gordon, dirty happy Logan, Cranky, and a cargo ship. Rolling stock: 3 red brass Band branchline coaches, 6-8 troublesome Crosby coal trucks, 2 troublesome oil tankers, 3 troublesome bubble soap tankers, and 3 sodorline cabooses. Figures: the brass Band, 7 passengers, Mr. Bubbles, 6 miners, 12 trees, and 5 workers. Destinations: Knapford station, Knapford yard, 3 special engine sheds, a turntable, 2 stop and go stations, the Crosby coal tunnel, 2 Crosby coal hoppers, the coal yard, a Crosby coal car loader, Muffle mountain hill, the bubble factory, a guard shed and gate, a Crosby switch tower, the Bandstand, the oil depot, the docks, and a water tower. Actually it is first featured in Season 6 in the episode, Middle Engine (which we shouldn't speak about how badly treated Percy was in the episode) When Henry backed into the trucks on the loading ramp.
I think this set is awesome and I'd kill for one. As of now these are super expensive online, Amazon is selling the set without the book for 800 bucks which is way to high for any thomas wooden railway item. These were never at discount stores in Canada which is a shame.
Currently, this is the last Sodor Story Collection set that I have in my collection as of right now. I wouldn't mind picking up and reviewing the other sets in the future though if I find them at a good price!
One Track Mind That Logan version is exclusive to this set (it's dirty), he can always sell his extra normal engines, and there are some other cool destinations, like that coal hopper.
The two main reasons I got this set was because I wanted the brass band coach and the coal loader. But I was also happy to get the dirty version of Logan, another CGI Gordon in case something happens to mine, and all of the other destinations and extra track. :)
I really don't know as I don't live in Ireland. Maybe try your local toy stores and see if they have anything? Otherwise I would recommend checking out eBay and Amazon.
The only thing I've said in the past is that I don't like the toys, but I'm not going to make a video or anything expressing my thoughts on the situation. But I won't be using any Wood products in my videos if I can help it.

You could be right, but the box artwork and instructions refer to it as Knapford Station.
