      It is also a really great way to make a vegan twice baked russet. I add a touch of apple cider vinegar & some nutritional yeast while the starchy part of the potato & tofu processed and top it with roasted brussel sprouts, scallions, & tempeh bacon and sometimes a little violife or daiya cheddar that I melt on in the toaster oven or under the broiler.

In short: I'm still able to eat Bolognese sauce or Chili sin carne weeks after having been to the store. Win!

    OMG the tahini stuffed dates! Healthier dessert options are a must in our house, we LOVE dessert, and these are SO freaking good!! My husband says they remind him of Reese's. They are very satisfying so I didn't feel the need to eat the entire batch at once. Just wanna recommend a RUclipsr what I eat in a day: Ali spagnola(?) of fitness outrageous has 2 videos. One is “same breakfast” where she goes over the breakfast she eats every single day, the other is about how she fasts for 20 hours a day. Basically she fasts all day and then always eats the same thing, I’d love to see your comments on this :)

      melissa soutar How unhealthy, sounds completely sickening too.

    • @melissasoutar
      @melissasoutar 4 года назад +1

      Lisa Mendez it does sound really unhealthy when summarized, but Ali is also really into CrossFit/fitness and backs her fasting and same breakfast with what sounds to be scientific and nutrition information. I don’t plan on ever attempting it because it’s pretty extreme, but I am curious on what Abbey would have to say about it in terms of what she likes/dislikes about the diet.

    • @lisamendez4309
      @lisamendez4309 4 года назад

      melissa soutar Stop worshipping at the altar of fake “science” and use your own common sense for a change. It’s unnatural and unhealthy. Any restrictive diet is just masking an eating disorder. We’re supposed to eat a wide variety of foods throughout the day to feed our bodies all the trace elements and minerals found in those foods. Supplements are fake. Eat all the real foods in a balanced way and your body will be healthy and strong. As it was intended to be. What is the attraction toward the extreme anyway? An unbalanced diet is the product of an unbalanced mind.

    • @melissasoutar
      @melissasoutar 4 года назад +6

      Lisa Mendez obviously what I was trying to say didn’t come across. I’m interested in having someone breakdown the claims to list what’s valid, what isn’t, what she’s doing right (in terms on her same breakfast), and what may be wrong/dangerous (extreme fasting). I personally don’t follow any diet and do not “worship at the alter of fake science”. I suggest not jumping to conclusions in the comments, and watching my tone, otherwise you’ll just cause people to become defensive. If you’re trying to point out something to someone it’s best to keep it factual, and avoid negative language or words that make things personal. As said you misunderstood what I was looking for, so I may have misunderstood your words, but please know that your message sounds fairly aggressive.

      Whilst I do like Greg’s content and is some what educational, most of his videos are “natty or not”, argumentative on who he views (some that are correct with what he says), and has a very intense community, which can be triggering for some.

      No Thanks I completely agree with your perspective, and as of being someone that works as a strength and condition coach, the bodybuilding community is based of lies and unrealistic expectations which they “claim” to be obtainable naturally. A lot body dysmorphia and eating disorders within men in these categories... 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Hi Abbey! I love the kids information you put out, it really helps me make healthier choices. Just wondering, what would be a good protein powder to use when pregnant?

    Great recipe ideas! Please consider doing a review on your thoughts on Dr. Esselstyn . I am age 40 & just found out I have heart disease, I am 5'7 and 138lbs, I have never been obese, however, since I was a teenager I have eaten bacon,burgers,pizza, cheese but not overdoing it. Well, now my heart is paying for my bad eating decisions. I am considering following Dr. Esselstyn's diet he promotes.

    I love that you eat the little bits of sweet potato left behind! It makes me twitchy watching cooking videos where they do things like dump the spoon in the sink without licking it haha

    We’re trying to do this but for Passover haha it’s rough. At least we bought matzo before the quarantine, we’re not gebrakhts or keeping kitnyot but we are keeping kosher for Passover. We had kugel and green beans tonight and last night we had something called Mina from Tori Avey’s website, and of course tomorrow we are doing matzo pizza haha! The biggest struggle was that we didn’t have some of our normal seder plate items like lamb bone and horseradish so we had to improvise with suggestions from our rabbi

    Is that an induction cooktop? Do you like it? We are thinking about putting one in our next kitchen and I'm wondering what they are like. I've been cooking on gas flame almost exclusively and really dislike electric element-style cooktops. Thanks for the ideas!!
