That's it, I'm completely in love with this drama. I wasn't planning to edit it every week but that's how it's turned out so far haha...
I'll reiterate what I put in my community post...I couldn't be more impressed especially with Thyme. The writers have take what I consider THE classic example of a toxic male lead (Domyoji/Jun Pyo/Dao Ming Si) and transformed him into Thyme, who is seriously-a wholesome character, while maintaining who he is as his core, the silly, immature, and lonely guy we can't help but feel for. His character is like night and day from any other version. Every episode we are getting well rounded and thought out characters who feel REAL. I am just so impressed and I keep thinking, no way the next episode will keep getting better and yet it does!
Though I've used this song to edit in the past I felt it was too perfect to not use for these three. I also used that song waaaaay long ago (for Queen In Hyun's Man) before my hiatus and surprisingly it's still up if you want to see what Jatsuki edited like back in 2012 haha • Queen In Hyun's Man - ... This episode hurt so good! "The Glass Mask" title of the episode said it all....and we got to witness how Thyme confront his shadow self in the dramatic scene with Hana. Through Hana`s mask Thyme saw a reflection of himself. Like Hana had, Thyme did everything in his pursuit of Gorya. Buying a bus, even having her followed in the early episode where he says he knows everything about Gorya after he kidnapps her. In Hana he saw his own ugliness and how toxic he have grown up to be. Through his bullying Hana had become a worse version of Thyme. Thyme breaks that mirror when he took the glass and broke it with his hand. He knows...however much pain he has to endure, whatever people around him says. It will always be Gorya for him. He will always choose Gorya.
Yeees! This episode has always been my favorite in all the version because Thyme is finally realizing his feeling and this version just did it so well! The depth of emotion and thought, the complexity of each character, the dynamics of love and hate…it was simply artwork 😍

The reason why i love this adaption of "boys over flowers" so much, is because the main lead is actually having a mindset that's changing because of the FL, he litterally started giving good advice, learned to say sorry, and started seeing his own flaws.
The chemistry is also amazing, the emotions put into this show, and the time to perform their characters perfectly!
Btw Amazing edit! Really showed the amazing episode from all perspectives! Props for that!

Omg congratulations!!!! 🎊🎉 I’m super happy for you!! I know that’s a lot less stress on your plate! And I’m even more excited that you can start the show now! Haha 😂 having watched all the other versions I knew these scenes were coming and this episode has always been one of my favs! I wanted to show more of Hana’s character and what she went through to try and be with Thyme but there just wasn’t enough music lol! Which is crazy because it’s pretty long song I typically never edit more than three minutes. That’s one thing about this show that I’ve noticed, is every episode has some really good quotes and like morals I guess I’d call it. Meaningful moments that you can connect with and all really wholesome. (And it is still so surprising that a lot of it comes from Thyme when he’s always been a very shallow character in other versions). Every episode has been a treat so far ☺️ and I can’t wait for you to watch more!!!
