Hey there do you have any condensation issues around the windows in the winter. I like the looks of the tubing like you used better but have bin told the tube being hallow will condensate they Suggest using angle iron any insight would be great thanks
1. What’s the dimensions & thickness of the steel tube used to get the ridges to be flush with it insides and outside. 2. Did you fully weld it around the frame on the outside?
Hi Gabe! 1. We used 2x3" 0.60 box tubing. It is not flush with the inside and outside. If it were flush the radius on the tubing would create a large gap and making welding difficult/ugly. 2. Yes we fully welded the perimeter and caulked it from the inside. We didn't want to rely on a caulk joint for weatherproofing.
We’ve been pretty happy with it, especially for the price. Just pressure test with water before using for the first time as they are notorious for arriving with loose fittings! www.amazon.com/dp/B008HP25IK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
We own a metal fabrication business so we already owned the tools required. A welder is definitely a big ticket item but I think it is a good investment if you ever plan to do other projects like this!
Yes they are installed backwards from a traditional construction standpoint! We wanted the exterior of the container to look very clean and by doing it this way we did not have to install trim over the flanges.

You make it look so easy. Grinding, welding and self-tapping screws!
Not easy, just lots of practice!!

HadnotAndSonsUSA Good luck with your build!
Did you guys just do anchoring under each corner? Any other piers under the container?

Hi there. I wonder if you can fill them in with spray foam?
Did you have any difficulty cutting a precise hole for the window frames without causing a gap too large to make welding difficult?
Hi. Very nice idea. How size is this profi?
beautiful.
Thank you!

How big is your square tubing that you made for your windows?
It is 2x3” .060!
Was this a water based primer & paint or oil? Can you link both products?
What kind of paint sprayer is that? TIA!

What happened to that house you guys were breaking into first video??
Same question here
What size tubing did you use for framing in before you put the windows in
Hi Dan! We used 2x3x.065 wall tubing (I'm pretty sure...but it has been awhile).
how any cans o paint did you end up using?
grate work so far!
I wish I had seen this comment sooner... I honestly don't remember how much paint we used. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
The spread rate on the label will tell you how much to buy.
Nice. Came from tiktok. Did your rent most of this equipment or did you buy it? Curious as to what would be the most cost effective.

I guess it works but arn't all the windows and doors installed backwords? the nailing flanges and brick molds are on the inside.
Yes they are installed backwards from a traditional construction standpoint! We wanted the exterior of the container to look very clean and by doing it this way we did not have to install trim over the flanges.
Hi, if you don't mind me asking what size steel did you use for the window framing?
Hi Mike! We used 2x3" 0.60 box tubing!
@@AmbitionStrikes Thank you!
I would have thought the flanges for the windows/etc. would be on the outside of the container...? Hmmm... 😮
We wanted a very minimalistic look and by having the flanges on the inside we didn't have to add additional trim (typically done out of wood).
😍💪✌️👌🤘👏👍
Thanks for watching!
How is it called the painting machine used for the exterior?
We used this sprayer!

How many cutoff wheels did you go through cutting out all the windows?
Kelvin Doo We used less than 10 cutoff wheels total, but are very skilled with a grinder and can make them last a very long time!
what happened to the house you bought and started renovating at the start of the channel?
Wait, where’s the mountains, the barndominium?
Something very attractive about a woman that knows hoe to be handy.
Anyone here on the comments that have used direct to metal paint?
I know you love the guy but, its obvious you're the brains and he's the.....well, you know.
