I love NIIMBOT. Customer service is awesome. My D101 was not charging and they replied to my inquiry immediately and replaced my printer! Just like that! Awesome company who stands behind their product.
You can get different papers for the MakeID typewriter printer. What I love is that it remembers the date even after having it turned off and you can print the Date without having the App open too.
I have the Jingchen by NIIMBOT and i love it... There are settings you can change for the type of paper you are using like - Gap paper (instead of a short rectangle it's longer) it recognizes black, white, transparent and colored paper. you can also change the density (how black) it prints out. you are also able to save the labels that you print out by creating an account... i feel like there are many features with the NIIMBOT B21 that weren't mentioned in the video but maybe there are also features that weren't mentioned about the other label printers.
I don't know how I'm on the Typewriter side of RUclips but, I like it ! 😹 I really liked the review ,I had the Niimbot in my cart already now, I know it's the one ! lol Thank you very much 😊!!
I really do enjoy it all of your videos. Have you considered making a typewriter anatomy video? Just for those that don't quite understand the terminology or where certain things are on some of the more popular models
The Nimbot B21 printer is really lovely. But I really don't like the fact you must use Nimbot sticker only. You are kind of stuck to buy there own label. I like the fact it's typewriter themed. But the cost per roll is not great. I mean 230 label for 18$ CDN? I can get 4 000 label a little size bigger for 32$ CDN...
I've used knock off brand labels for the nimbot and PQ- the MakeID uses a different size label (thinner), and I've been able to make other brands work for that as well as long as it's the same thickness
I notice that Smith Corona only make thermal labels these days. Seeing these makes me think they are missing a trick not to do a typewriter style printer as well!
Please let me know something. I need for my work the choice to set the cutting length of a sticker by my self. As far as i saw all NIIMBOT models take stickers with predefined length size, right ? So if you are in an electrical panel for example and you need to cut the length of the marking sticker at a very specific size this is NOT possible with NIMBOT right ? MakeID has the same issue or not ? any other suggestion ? thank you
All of the labels have pre defined sizes based on the apps. If you need to space out text over a longer label on the make ID printer, you would have to manually add the spaces in the text before printing.
I'm glad I found your video! I was thinking which printer should I buy. Cos I need a printer where I can use bigger stickers and smaller stickers in 1 machine. I think Nimbot is the one I'm looking for. Others height are too small to fit more words. What do you think?
Sounds like a good one for the task- I believe they're also on sale at the moment! You can also use it to adjust to different label sizes so if you ever did need a smaller label, you could get a different roll of labels
Hello dear, i highly recommended niimbot then somemore its very convenient to use as you can easily buy and use any type or labrl thermal paper on that machine.
nice video. i really liked the transparency in the beginning and that you read the user agreement for the apps :D i'm really interested in the niimbot, but 3 questions remain: 1. do you need to pay for a subscription to use the full potential of the app? 2. can you use label paper from different brands, as long as the size fits? 3. can you use regular thermal paper, the non-sticky coninuous one?
For 1. you can pay a subscription on the app, but I didn't find any limitations using just the free version. If you want to store labels or addresses or upload further formatting, that's where the subscriptions on these printers come into play. For 2 and 3: I didn't get to test that so I wouldn't know. For some of these other printers, I have used "off brand" sticky labels. As long as the size is the same, I haven't had any trouble!
I like your new "studio" background, that's cool. With a bit of work by resizing and dithering your picture in a graphics app like GIMP, I am sure you can get even better output. Takes time and a bit of skill tho, and not the supplied solution. It isn't clear to me if you can use these directly with a PC? Maybe via the USB cable you can?
like the new set up and the intro was great, too bad that 3rd one didnt have the same output to make it uniform lol. the song was reminicent of Monty Pythons Flying Circus intro and the comical way that last one printed was like icing on the cake. whats funny is i stumbled onto this video in my youtube feed while searching for how i can make my own vintage typewriter letterhead, so... you know.... thanks for the distraction lol
Ty and I realized u mentioned it on the maker Id typewriter looking one 😊 I was asking about the niimbot. Ty. But witch one has a label the size of a normal size address label that’s what I’m looking for and bought the niimbot d11 and when I opened it I was like 😮there so so small 😂
@@comet969 yes the d11 has a smaller label size, but you can make any of the larger label printers fit smaller sized labels- they sell different sized labels
Just a question... Why you didn't buy it or ask for a discount instead? You can deduct it from your tax. I enjoy your video and I did buy a printer because of you :) I have seen this printers but never thought that it will actually work!
Because I don't make an income from videos, I don't have the ability to make deductions for it. Anything I buy for videos is just for fun! Hope you enjoy your printer!

Hey! Do they have stickers waterproof?
MAKEID has white and other color label tapes, so it isn’t limited to translucent.
"I like everything that looks like typewriter" 😂😂

I really liked the review ,I had the Niimbot in my cart already now, I know it's the one ! lol
Thank you very much 😊!!
Welcome to my weird side of the internet!!
I love the green one, but I wish it made bigger labels
definitely can be limiting
The Niimbot prints lables up to two inches they have one that prints up to 3 inches but, it's not as cute lol 😂
Thank you for your review, this is very helpful❤
I love the new “Look!” Great video as well.

you'll just have to wait and see what I have scheduled literally a few weeks from now......
@@JustMyTypewriter I shall look forward to it as I do all of your videos.
Thank you for the informative review! Cute little machines you've found 😌
Interesting! I like the style of the green one😊
Thanks for your love
thank you so much for your sharing. 🥰😘
great in-depth review! Thanks for the details!
Thanks for the great review!
there is a yellow NIIMBOT
also
You are the chicken nugget panol
Hi very thorough review I am in the middle of researching thermal, printers and looking for very thin labels. Nimbot seems to be where I need to go.

Nice video, thanks for your time! Do you think one needs to use the original labels, or same size by any brand would do, as long as thermal?
I've used knock off brand labels for the nimbot and PQ- the MakeID uses a different size label (thinner), and I've been able to make other brands work for that as well as long as it's the same thickness
Thank you for this really thorough review! 😊
I tried the Nimbot and sent it back as it printed so light as to be barely readable.
I notice that Smith Corona only make thermal labels these days. Seeing these makes me think they are missing a trick not to do a typewriter style printer as well!
There are also Phomemo printers 😊

Thank you for your video, i wanted to know if Niimbot was a scam or a real thing 😅 These printers are so pretty and handy, they do seem easy to use!
yea same reason I am here. All of the drop shippers and rip off productrs are starting to look the same as legit companies. lol

These work with mobile applications. The supplied cable is for charging- they do not directly work with a PC

Great information 👍 thanks
Can this use the smaller size labels like a normal address label size or just the big fat labels
Yes you can get smaller size labels!

Nice background indead :-)
Do any of these work with a computer?
All of them work with mobile apps- they mobile apps could also be used on an ipad, but not with a PC
@@JustMyTypewriter That's a bit of a shame.

Is it true that only Niimbot label will work and not any other labels with same size? If this is true, than this is a shitty product.
They make other label sizes so you're not limited to only one size
Yes. They're using special chip in the stickers so can't use other cheaper brands.
