DO NOT try to contact Luka to get in touch with me.
Lahko mi pišete tudi v slovenščini.
Fun fact: with almost 110.000 registered tractors, Slovenia is the world leader, ahead of Ireland and Austria.
per capita of course
you call the tractor scenario "so slovenian" but i couldn't stop laughing at you panicking about there not being enough space on the roads, making me think "that's so american". i had a friend from america over a few years ago and her reactions about driving around on our roads were almost identical to yours! XD
The way you guys interact is so sweet 😁
Those pictures fit right into your color scheme plus the memories are so sweet. I did love Luka's engineering explanation of 7 verses 8.
hahahaha that was funny!!!! Tractor removals!!! soooooooo very slovenian!!!!!! Your drive reminded me when young how I was always a scared passenger on those narrow winding roads!!! And you also have a sled, sanke. Happy memories.
My boyfriend is Slovenian but we currently live in Texas (I’m still in uni), and I love showing him your Slovenia related content. It seems like it’s comforting to him. And I love seeing your perspective on the expat life experience. Wishing you health and joy this new year!
Buy him a "potica" for easter. It's a traditional pastry. I don't like it that much, it's alright but it's 100 billion million thousand percent Slovenian holiday food.
@@KickAndDestroy brilliant! thank you for the suggestion. If you have any recommendations on where I can get a fairly authentic one in Texas let me know :) I could try making it, but it may not work so well
My husband is Slovenian and we are in Houston. He is also named Luka. We just got back from visiting Slovenia for several weeks. Wishing you two all the best!
Thank you! It's not always easy being an expat. Food definitely brings back the memories and feelings of home.
Omg, I know exactly where that tree is!!!My husband is also Luka from Domžale and Skofja Loka. We are thinking of making the jump from Texas to Slovenia. Your channel is a huge help for me! Thanks!
Oooooh! Well that would be exciting!
How old is that sewing machine!?!? OMG I LOVE IT! I had one kinda like it in high school Home Ec class but it was made like in the 70's. I love antiques!
Those views are BREATHTAKING!
I could spend hours looking at art too!
That was a great experience to watch hvala
I love to see my home surroundings where I lived, although not in Poljane but in Selška valley, beautiful places ❤️
Traktors are everywhere in Slovenia.
Every slovene house has that painting of a landscape in a golden wooden frame I swear. Ours is a lake in a birch forest.
mi mamo celo steno k je tak reka pa gore uzad.
I came across your videos quite by accident while looking up foods unique to Slovenia. The videos make me smile. My grandfathers farm was halfway between Radmirje and Lubno ob Savinji. I was looking up gorenjski zelodec. Have you ever had the opportunity to taste that salami?
Thanks for sharing 😊 I don’t know if I’ve had that particular one, isn’t želodec made from stomach?
Loved seeing this :) hvala!
Just stumbled on your videos and I’m addicted 😂 keep it up
YYEEEESSSSSS! I'm glad it's binge-worthy lol.
To je zakon... Smo tudi taki norci, da bi čez to isto okno na roke - že kako. 😁
Čez balkon 😄
Found your video looking for info on Slovenia. We’ve done a similar thing with our tractor here in Maine, USA lol.
💪💪💪
Luka has UFPRO P-40 All Terrain pants. Nice. I hope he is happy with those 👋👋👋

Nice bike. I have 2 Treks: 930 Singletrack (1995) and a 2007 6000.
Paleta-stvar, ki jo lahko uporabiš na 1001 način haha
V IKEI je kavč iz palete. Oblazinjena paleta s Skandinavsko ceno

TRAKTOR!
7:16 it's true 👌
That's the best, helping each other out 😀 is the house under the Krvavec?
Part 2 (next day) is where it's at . . .
Luka is wearing UFpro pants. I like Luka.
That sewing machine looks ancient, wow
Might imagine your delight to find it, and have it, after all this years ...
Waiting for monday's video.
I have a question about owning pets in Slovenia. Are they really strict about yearly checkups, vaccines, etc. once the animal is brought into the country and you live there? I mean, aside from basic admission requirements.
As I know yea we are
@@tomopiucha2351 What happens if someone takes in a stray animal and doesn't report it. Or doesn't renew the vaccine on their animal and just keeps it at home. Will the authorities come to your home?
@@Polarcupcheck if you adopt a cat, nothing will happen. Cat's don't need to be chipped or vaccinated. But if you take a stray dog (we don't have many stray dogs tho, usually when people spot a stray they'll call a shelter or some other group that helps stray dogs) you would need to check if the animal is chipped. If not you'd have to do it and also vaccinate it. Then this info would be stored in the registry. You'd need to vacinate it for three consecutive years against the rabies and after that every 3 years for the rest of their life. If you don't you'd get a fine since inspectors know cause of that dog registry.
If you have a dog that isn't chipped and vaccinated no one will know and you'd theoretically be fine. As long as something doesn't happen like if your unvaccinated dog bites a person etc then you'd be getting fines.
Sometimes in bigger cities inspectors stop random people with dogs and check for microchip/vaccine...
@@Vesny86 Ok that helps alot. See, I am from the states and I have cats, which already have the chip, and they have been vaccinated. since they stay in the house, mostly. I never revaccinated them. but to bring them to Slovenia I need to get them another shot. I just don't like the idea of vaccinating them constantly for something they have an almost zero percent chance of getting.
@@Vesny86 It seems like the EU wants me to have an FDA certified vet fill out a health pass before I can bring them in. So, I would have to get the revaccinated to meet the health pass standard. Maybe Slovenia doesn't care beyond that.
Hey, was that house in Javorje? above Poljane?
Yes!
Tesla Shmezla…come drive the Kia EV6 at Kia centre Ljubljana…you’ll be impressed and you still need to drive a Volvo too as promised last year!
I would LOVE to take a look at the Volvo XC60!
Km sta šla tu u Delnce al kej? Js sn s polanske doline dma dargač...
Nice video BTW😅
Tesla is for teslo!
Is Luka half Bosnean?
No.
Why the hell would you ask that?
Wait, you mean you Americans don't move your furniture out through your windows with tractors? 😆
Hell no,they just move the house ;)
Moving furniture through windows? Is this comedy channel?
He doesn’t have much respect for women.
